The high burden of kidney disease,global disparities in kidney care,and poor outcomes of kidney failure bring a concomitant growing burden to persons affected,their families,and carers,and the community at *** literacy is the degree to which persons and organizations have or equitably enable individuals to have the ability to find,understand,and use information and services to make informed health⁃related decisions and actions for themselves and *** than viewing health literacy as a patient deficit,improving health literacy largely rests with health care providers communicating and educating effectively in codesigned partnership with those with kidney *** kidney policy makers,health literacy provides the imperative to shift organizations to a culture that places the person at the center of health *** growing capability of and access to technology provides new opportunities to enhance education and awareness of kidney disease for all *** in telecommunication,including social media platforms,can be leveraged to enhance persons’and providers’education;The World Kidney Day declares 2022 as the year of“Kidney Health for All”to promote global teamwork in advancing strategies in bridging the gap in kidney health education and *** organizations should work toward shifting the patient⁃deficit health literacy narrative to that of being the responsibility of health care providers and health policy *** engaging in and supporting kidney health-centered policy making,community health planning,and health literacy approaches for all,the kidney communities strive to prevent kidney diseases and enable living well with kidney disease.

Around 850 million people currently are affected by different types of kidney *** to 1 in 10 adults worldwide has chronic kidney disease(CKD),which is invariably irreversible and mostly *** global burden of CKD is increasing,and CKD is projected to become the fifth most common cause of years of life lost globally by *** CKD remains uncontrolled and if the affected person survives the ravages of cardiovascular and other complications of the disease,CKD progresses to endstage kidney disease,where life cannot be sustained without dialysis therapy or kidney ***,CKD is a major cause of catastrophic health expenditure.

Kidney transplantation in obese patients

The World Health Organization estimated that in 2014, over 600 million people met criteria for obesity. In 2011, over 30% of individuals undergoing kidney transplant had a body mass index(BMI) 35 kg/m^2 or greater. A number of recent studies have confirmed the relationship between overweight/obesity and important comorbidities in kidney transplant patients. As with non-transplant surgeries, the rate of wound and soft tissue complications are increased following transplant as is the incidence of delayed graft function. These two issues appear to contribute to longer length of stay compared to normal BMI. New onset diabetes after transplant and cardiac outcomes also appear to be increased in the obese population. The impact of obesity on patient survival after kidney transplantation remains controversial, but appears to mirror the impact of extremes of BMI in non-transplant populations. Early experience with(open and laparoscopic) Rouxen-Y gastric bypass and laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy support excellent weight loss(in the range of 50%-60% excess weight lost at 1 year), but experts have recommended the need for further studies. Long term nutrient deficiencies remain a concern but in general, these procedures do not appear to adversely impact absorption of immunosuppressive medications. In this study, we review the literature to arrive at a better understanding of the risks related to renal transplantation among individuals with obesity.

Two-Dimensional Transition Metal Oxide and Chalcogenide-Based Photocatalysts

Two-dimensional(2D) transition metal oxide and chalcogenide(TMO&C)-based photocatalysts have recently attracted significant attention for addressing the current worldwide challenges of energy shortage and environmental pollution. The ultrahigh surface area and unconventional physiochemical, electronic and optical properties of 2D TMO&Cs have been demonstrated to facilitate photocatalytic applications. This review provides a concise overview of properties, synthesis methods and applications of 2D TMO&C-based photocatalysts. Particular attention is paid on the emerging strategies to improve the abilities of light harvesting and photoinduced charge separation for enhancing photocatalytic performances,which include elemental doping, surface functionalization as well as heterojunctions with semiconducting and conductive materials. The future opportunities regarding the research pathways of 2D TMO&C-based photocatalysts are also presented.

Parotid swelling due to Hoshino strain following MMR vaccination in iranian immunization program

This paper reports two seronegative cases of parotid swelling following MMR vaccination,which contains Hoshino strain of mumps *** study showed a high,(5%) potential reactogenicity induced by Hoshino strain of current MMR vaccine administered in Iranian *** rate of complication of parotid swelling following national immunization against mumps is more than natural *** on the results of this report, there is the first report of occurrence of parotid swelling 31 days following MMR *** reaction or complication may not be dependent on the vaccine dose,because one of cases presented parotid swelling following taking one fifth of conventional dose of *** must be considered this strain may be with high rate of complication and be the subject of change of mumps strain of this vaccine in national immunization program of Iran.

A Thermoelectric Transducer Based on Bismuth Telluride Thin Films for H_2 Gas Sensing

Layered Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) devices with an InO_x/SiN_u/36°YX LiTaO_3 structure were investigated for sensing low concentrations of hydrogen (H_2) and ozone (O_3) at different operating *** sensor consists of a 1μm thick silicon nitride (SiN_y) intermediate layer deposited by electron beam evaporation on a 36°Y-cut X-propagating piezoelectric lithium tantalate (LiTaO_3) substrate and a 100 nm thin indium oxide (InO_x) sensing layer deposited by *** *** device fabrication is described and the performance of the sensor is analyzed in terms of response magnitude as a function of operating *** frequency shifts of 360 kHz for 600μg/g of H_2 and 92 kHz for 40 ng/g O_3 were *** addition,the surface morphology of the deposited films were investigated by Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) and the chemical composition by X-Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) to correlate gas-sensing behavior to structural characteristics of the thin film.
