The automatic selection and composition of Web services rely strongly on the manner to deal with ambiguity inherent to the description of functionalities of these services and the client’s requests. Quality of Service (QoS) criteria become crucial in Web services selection and the problem of checking that a web service satisfies a given level of QOS is considered in recent research works. This paper presents a QoS based automatic classification method of web services. These services give generally similar functionalities and are offered by different providers. The main feature of our Web service selection model is to take advantage of the neuro-fuzzy logic for coping with the imprecision of QoS constraints values.

A main advantage of Architecture Description Languages (ADL) is their aptitude to facilitate formal analysis and verification of complex software architectures. Since some researchers try to extend them by new techniques, we show in this paper how the use of tile logic as extension of rewriting logic can enforce the ability of existing ADL formalisms to cope with hierarchy and composition features which are more and more present in such software architectures. In order to cover ADL key and generic concepts, our approach is explained through LfP (Language for rapid Prototyping) as ADL offering the possibility to specify the hierarchical behaviour of software components. Then, our contribution goal is to exploit a suitable logic that allows reasoning naturally about software system behaviour, possibly hierarchical and modular, in terms of its basic components and their interactions.

UML 2.0 activity diagrams (ADs) are largely used as a modeling language for flow-oriented behaviors in software and business processes. Unfortunately, their place/transition operational semantics is unable to capture and preserve semantics of the newly defined high-level activities constructs such as Interruptible Activity Region. Particularly, basic Petri nets do not preserve the non-locality semantics and reactivity concept of ADs. This is mainly due to the absence of global synchronization mechanisms in basic Petri nets. Zero-safe nets are a high-level variant of Petri nets that ensure transitions global coordination thanks to a new kind of places, called zero places. Indeed, zero-safe nets naturally address Interruptible Activity Region that needs a special semantics, forcing the control flow by external events and defining a certain priority level of executions. Therefore, zero-safe nets are adopted in this work as semantic framework for UML 2.0 activity diagrams.

In this paper, we present a new formalism for Modeling Multi Agent Systems (MAS). Our model based a PN is able to describe not only not the internal state of each agent modeled but also its behavior. Owing to these features, one can model naturally the dynamic behavior of complex systems and the communication between these entities. For this, we propose mathematical definitions attached to firing transitions. To validate our contribution, we will deal with real examples.

In this paper, we propose astochastic Petri net model P-timed Workflow (WPTSPN) to specify, verify, and analyze a business process (BP) of a Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS). After formalizing the semantics of our model, we illustrate how to verifysome of its properties (reachability, safety, boundedness, liveness, correctness, alive tokens, and security) in the P-Timed context. Next, we validate the relevance of the proposed model with MATLAB simulation through a specific FMS case study. Finally, we use a generalized truncated density function to predict the duration of a token’s sojourn (residence) in a timed place with respect to the sequence states of the global FMS workflow.

This Staphylococcus epidermidis has been discovered as the most frequent germ detected during indwelling medical devices infection. This fact is well attached with the ability of this bacterium to form structured layered population known as biofilm. Inside S. epidermidis biofilm, bacterial cells present more different behavior than in their planktonic counterpart. This paper describes the thriving application of Petri net theory for modeling of interaction between different regulations actors leading S. epidermidis to switch from Planctonik to Biofilm. Indeed this biologic system is very sensible and has dangerous effect. We propose Agent Petri Nets model to describe and analyze the process of formation of Biofilm molecule. This model presents a formal framework based on Multi Agents system characteristics.

This paper deals with the proposal of a new model based on Agent Petri Nets (APN) to specify interactions among agents in Multi Agents System (MAS). Indeed, an agent approach requires a powerful and expressive formalism that allows him to model the behavior of a set of agents that interact. We are modeling some variants of FIPA standard protocols. Our Models are found based on communicating cognitive agents. Each Agent is capable of perceiving their environment partly and building, sending and receiving messages.

Actual TDoA-based augmentation system for enhancing cybersecurity in ADS-B

Currently, cybersecurity and cyber resilience are emerging and urgent issues in nextgeneration air traffic surveillance systems, which depend primarily on Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast(ADS-B) owing to its low cost and high accuracy. Unfortunately, ADS-B is prone to cyber-attacks. To verify the ADS-B positioning data of aircraft, multilateration(MLAT)techniques that use Time Differences of Arrivals(TDoAs) have been proposed. MLAT exhibits low accuracy in determining aircraft positions. Recently, a novel technique using a theoretically calculated TDoA fingerprint map has been proposed. This technique is less dependent on the geometry of sensor deployment and achieves better accuracy than MLAT. However, the accuracy of the existing technique is not sufficiently precise for determining aircraft positions and requires a long computation time. In contrast, this paper presents a reliable surveillance framework using an Actual TDoA-Based Augmentation System(ATBAS). It uses historically recorded real-data from the OpenSky network to train our TDoA fingerprint grid network. Our results show that the accuracy of the proposed ATBAS framework in determining the aircraft positions is significantly better than those of the MLAT and expected TDoA techniques by 56.93% and 48.86%, respectively. Additionally, the proposed framework reduced the computation time by 77% compared with the expected TDoA technique.
