Cytokinin but not gibberellin application had major impact on the phenylpropanoid pathway in grape

Cytokinin and gibberellic acid(GA)are growth regulators used to increase berry size in seedless grapes and it is of interest to understand their effects on the phenylpropanoid pathway and on ripening *** 3 and synthetic cytokinin forchlorfenuron(N-(2-chloro-4-pyridyl)-N′-phenylurea,CPPU)and their combination were applied to 6 mm diameter fruitlets of‘Sable Seedless’,and berries were sampled 51 and 70 days(d)following *** treatments increased berry size and delayed sugar accumulation and acid degradation with a stronger effect of ***,but not GA,reduced berry color and the levels of *** CPPU reduced the levels of anthocyanins by more than 50%,the combined treatment of GA+CPPU reduced the levels by about 25%at 51 *** treatment had minor effects on flavonols content but increased the levels of monomeric flavan-3-ols by more than *** analysis using HPLC showed that proanthocyanidin content was significantly increased by CPPU,whereas mean degree of polymerization was reduced from 26 to *** analysis by GC-MS showed changes in composition with CPPU or GA treatment with potential impact on ***-seq analysis showed that GA had a minor overall effect on the transcriptome whereas CPPU had pronounced effects on gene expression at both 51 and 70 *** the control and CPPU at similar Brix of ca.19.7°,a reduced expression of stilbene synthases(STSs)including their regulators MYB14 and MYB15,and other phenylpropanoid-related genes was observed in CPPU-treated ***,our study shows that CPPU had a major influence on the phenylpropanoid pathway and affected multiple ripening-related processes.

Ameliorative Effects of Paclobutrazol via Physio-Biochemical and Molecular Manifestation in Rice under Water Deficit Stress

To comprehensively explore the physio-biochemical and molecular changes of paclobutrazol(PBZ) at the ideal dose under water deficit stress(WDS) conditions, we investigated the effects of 100 mg/kg PBZ applied via drenching on various physio-biochemical and molecular parameters in three rice varieties(N22, IR64, and IR64 DTY1.1) under both mild [75%-80% relative water content(RWC)] and severe(60%-65% RWC) WDS conditions. The results showed that PBZ treatment positively influenced the physio-biochemical parameters, significantly increasing dry matter(16.27%-61.91%), RWC(6.48%-16.34%), membrane stability index(4.37%-10.35%), and total chlorophyll content(8.97%-29.09%) in the rice varieties under both mild and severe WDS. Moreover, PBZ treatment reduced drought susceptibility(0.83-0.95) and enhanced drought tolerance efficiency(60.92%-86.78%), indicating its potential as a stress-mitigating agent. Global methylation analysis revealed changes in DNA methylation patterns, indicating the regulatory influence of PBZ on gene expression. The expression analysis of genes involved in the diversification of geranylgeranyl pyrophosphate towards the biosynthesis of abscisic acid, gibberellin acid, and chlorophyll showed alterations in their expression levels, suggesting the involvement of PBZ in the isoprenoid pathway. Overall, this study provides valuable insights into the potential mechanisms by which PBZ modulates physiological and molecular responses in rice plants under WDS. The findings highlight the importance of PBZ as a promising agent for enhancing drought tolerance in rice and offer valuable information for future research in crop stress management.

Identification and Molecular Docking Mechanism of Novel Anti-Inflammatory Peptides from Lactobacillus paraplantarum Fermented Cannabis sativa L. (hemp) Seeds

The inflammatory response is a crucial physiological process that can lead to tissue damage and is considered a causative factor for various chronic diseases， such as rheumatoid arthritis. Recent research has focused on exploring valuable nutrients derived from Cannabis sativa L. (hemp) seeds， particularly hemp seed proteins. Therefore， this study aimed to investigate the release of anti-inflammatory peptides from Lactobacillus paraplantarum-fermented hemp seed proteins. To confirm the complete hydrolysis of hemp seed proteins during the fermentation process， SDS-PAGE was employed. Further， the isolation and purification of peptides were achieved through ultrafiltration. The identity of peptides was nextly established using ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with hybrid quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry (UHPLC-QTOF-MS). The results revealed a total of 39 identified peptides in fermented hemp seeds， with 9 peptides selected based on their relative quantity. Notably， AAELIGVP (P1)， AAVPYPQ (P2)， VFPEVAP (P4)， DVIGVPLG (P6)， and PVPKVL (P9) demonstrated strong anti-inflammatory abilities in LPS-induced Raw 264.7 macrophage cells. Molecular docking was used to understand the potential anti-inflammatory mechanism of these five peptides， and in silico results indicated that P1， P2， P4， P6， and P9 could bind to the active sites of TLR-4， NF-kB， and IKK with higher binding energies. Overall， these findings indicate that hemp seeds have potential to be a source of bioactive peptides for functional foods with anti-inflammatory properties.

Deep Learning-Based Speech Emotion Recognition: Leveraging Diverse Datasets and Augmentation Techniques for Robust Modeling

In recent years， Speech Emotion Recognition (SER) has developed into an essential instrument for interpreting human emotions from auditory data. The proposed research focused on the development of a SER system employing deep learning and multiple datasets containing samples of emotive speech. The primary objective of this research endeavor is to investigate the utilization of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) in the process of sound feature extraction. Stretching， pitch manipulation， and noise injection are a few of the techniques utilized in this study to improve the data quality. The investigation includes coverage of these methods. Feature extraction methods including Zero Crossing Rate， Chroma＿stft， MFCC， RMS， and MelSpectogram are used to train a model. By using these techniques， audio signals can be transformed into recognized features that can be utilized to train the model. Ultimately， the study will produce a thorough evaluation of the model’s performance. When this method was applied， the model achieved an impressive accuracy of 94.57% on the test dataset. Proposed work also validated on EMO-BD and IEMOCAP dataset. These consist of further data augmentation， feature engineering， and hyperparameter optimization. By following these development paths， SER systems will be able to be implemented in real-world scenarios with greater accuracy and resilience.

We investigate the Bianchi type-V magnetized string cosmological model with variable magnetic permeability for viscous fluid distribution. The magnetic field is due to an electric current produced along the x-axis. Thus the magnetic field is in yz-plane and F23 is the only non-vanishing component of electromagnetic field tensor Fij. To obtain the deterministic model in terms of cosmic time t, we assume the condition ξθ const where ξ is the coefficient of bulk viscosity and θ the expansion in the model.
