Over the past few years,rapid advancements in the internet and communication technologies have led to increasingly intricate and diverse networking *** a result,greater intelligence is necessary to effectively manage,optimize,and maintain these *** to their distributed nature,machine learning models are challenging to deploy in traditional ***,Software-Defined Networking(SDN)presents an opportunity to integrate intelligence into networks by offering a programmable architecture that separates data and control *** provides a centralized network view and allows for dynamic updates of flow rules and softwarebased traffic *** the programmable nature of SDN makes it easier to deploy machine learning techniques,the centralized control logic also makes it vulnerable to *** address these issues,recent research has focused on developing powerful machine-learning methods for detecting and mitigating attacks in SDN *** paper highlighted the countermeasures for cyberattacks on SDN and how current machine learningbased solutions can overcome these emerging *** also discuss the pros and cons of using machine learning algorithms for detecting and mitigating these ***,we highlighted research issues,gaps,and challenges in developing machine learning-based solutions to secure the SDN controller,to help the research and network community to develop more robust and reliable solutions.

In this paper,a mathematical model is developed to study the wave propagation in an infinite,homogeneous,transversely isotropic thermo-piezoelectric solid bar of circular cross-sections immersed in inviscid *** present study is based on the use of the three-dimensional theory of *** displacement potential functions are introduced to uncouple the equations of motion and the heat and electric *** frequency equations are obtained for longitudinal and flexural modes of vibration and are studied based on Lord-Shulman,Green-Lindsay and Classical theory theories of thermo *** frequency equations of the coupled system consisting of cylinder and fluid are developed under the assumption of perfectslip boundary conditions at the fluid-solid interfaces,which are obtained for longitudinal and flexural modes of vibration and are studied numerically for PZT-4 material bar immersed in *** computed non-dimensional frequencies are compared with Lord-Shulman,Green-Lindsay and Classical theory theories of thermo elasticity for longitudinal and flexural modes of *** dispersion curves are drawn for longitudinal and flexural modes of ***,the dispersion of specific loss and damping factors are also analyzed for longitudinal and flexural modes of vibrations.

This paper presents a performance study of the distributed coordination function （DCF） of 802.11 networks considering erroneous channel and capture effects under non-saturated traffic conditions employing a basic access *** aggregate throughput of a practical wireless local area network （WLAN） strongly depends on the channel *** a real radio environment,the received signal power at the access point from a station is subjected to deterministic path loss,shadowing,and fast multipath *** binary exponential backoff （BEB） mechanism of IEEE 802.11 DCF severely suffers from more channel idle time under high bit error rate （BER）.To alleviate the low performance of IEEE 802.11 DCF,a new mechanism is introduced,which greatly outperforms the existing methods under a high BER.A multidimensional Markov chain model is used to characterize the behavior of DCF in order to account both non-ideal channel conditions and capture effects.

The wave propagation in an infinite, homogeneous, transversely isotropic solid cylin- der of arbitrary cross-section is studied using Fourier expansion collocation method, within the frame work of linearized, three-dimensional theory of thermoelasticity. Three displacement po- tential functions are introduced, to uncouple the equations of motion and the heat conduction. The frequency equations are obtained for longitudinal and flexural （symmetric and antisymmet- ric） modes of vibration and are studied numerically for elliptic and parabolic cross-sectional zinc cylinders. The computed non-dimensional wave numbers are presented in the form of dispersion curves.

Objective:To detect in vitro biofilm formation of uropathogenic Escherichia coli(***)(UPEC) strains isolated from urine specimens and also to determine their antimicrobial susceptibility pattern using 13 commonly used ***:The present study comprised of 166 urine specimens collected from tertiary care hospitals in and around *** India. All the specimens were subjected to gram staining,bacterial culture and the *** strains were screened for biofilm formation using Tube Method(TM),Congo Red Agar(CRA) and Tissue Culture Plate method(TCP) ***,the antimicrobial susceptibility test was performed by Kirby Bauer-disk diffusion method for the biofilm and non-biofilm producing E. coli ***:Of the 100(60.2%) *** strains,72 strains displayed a biofilm positive phenotype under the optimized conditions in the Tube Method and the strains were classified as highly positive(17,23.6%),moderate positive(19.26.3%) and weakly positive(36.50.0%). similarly under the optimized conditions on Congo Red agar medium,biofilm positive phenotype strains were classified as highly positive(23,23%).moderate positive(37.37%) and weakly positive(40,40%).While in TCP method,the biofilm positive phenotype strains were also classified as highly positive(6.6%),moderate positive(80.80%) and weakly positive(14,14%),it didn’t not correlate well with the tube method for detecting biofilm formation in *** rates of antibiotic resistance of biofilm producing *** were found to be 100%for chloramphenicol and amoxyclav(amoxicillin and clavulanic acid),86%for gentamicin and cefotaxime.84%for ceftazidime,83%for cotrimoxazole and piperacillin/tazobactam,75%for tetracycline and 70% for amikacin,Conclusions:This study reveals the prevalence and antimicrobial susceptibility pattern of biofilm and non-biofilm producing uropathogenic *** strains.

Crop biofortification is a sustainable approach for fighting micronutrient malnutrition in the world. The estimation of variance components in genetically broad-based populations provides information about their genetic architecture, allowing the design of an appropriate biofortification breeding method for cross-pollinated crops such as pearl millet. The objective of this study was to estimate intra-population genetic variance using self(S1) and half-sib(HS) progenies in two populations, AIMP92901 and ICMR312. Field trials were evaluated in two contrasting seasons(2009 rainy and 2010 summer; otherwise called environments) in Alfisols at ICRISAT, Patancheru. Analyses of variance showed highly significant variation for S1 s and HS progenies, reflecting high within-population genetic variation for both micronutrients and other key traits. However, the HS showed narrow ranges and lower genetic variances than the S1 for all of the traits. The micronutrients were highly positively correlated in S1(r = 0.77 to 0.86; P < 0.01) and HS(r = 0.74 to 0.77; P < 0.01)progenies of both populations, implying concurrent genetic improvement for both micronutrients. The genetic variance component was different among populations for Fe and Zn contents across environments, with AIMP92901 showing a greater proportion of dominance and ICMR312 greater additive variance for these micronutrients. The estimates of variance(additive and dominance) were specific for each population, given their dependence on the additive and dominance effects of the segregating loci, which also differ among populations. The possible causes for such differences were discussed. The results showed that the expression of these micronutrients in pearl millet shows largely additive variance, so that breeding high-iron hybrids will require incorporation of these micronutrient traits into both parental lines.

The cerium （Ce3＋） doped yttrium aluminium borate （YAB） phosphor was synthesized by modified solid state reaction. The phosphor＇s phase purity and its emission properties were studied using powder X-ray diffraction pattern and photoluminescence spectroscopy. The synthesized YAB had rhomobohedral crystal structure. The phosphor had two different excitation and emission spectra. By 325 nm excitation, the phosphor had emission at 373 nm and with 363 nm excitation; the phosphor gave violet-blue emission at 418 nm. The UV emission of the phosphor originated due to Ce3＋ ions at the yttrium site and violet-blue emission owing to Ce3＋ ions at non-regular sites viz., A13＋ and interstitial sites. The emission intensity of the phosphor was enhanced when monovalent ions （K＋, Na＋, and F） were added as co-dopants. The crucial role of ionic radii of monovalent co-dopants on the emission enhancement of the YAB：Ce3＋ phosphor was reported. Thermogravimetric study showed that the YAB possessed high thermal stability at up to 900 ℃.
