In this paper,we consider the parallel-machine customer order scheduling with delivery time and submodular rejection *** this problem,we are given m dedicated machines in parallel and n customer *** order has a delivery time and consists of m product types and each product type should be manufactured on a dedicated *** order is either rejected,in which case a rejection penalty has to be paid,or accepted and manufactured on the m dedicated *** objective is to find a solution to minimize the sum of the maximum delivery completion time of the accepted orders and the penalty of the rejected orders which is determined by a submodular *** design an LP rounding algorithm with approximation ratio of n+1 for this problem.

In the context of increasing dimensionality of design variables and the complexity of constraints, the efficacy of Surrogate-Based Optimization (Sbo) is limited. The traditional linear and nonlinear dimensionality reduction algorithms are mainly to decompose the mathematical matrix composed of design variables or objective functions in various forms, the smoothness of the design space cannot be guaranteed in the process, and additional constraint functions need to be added in the optimization, which increases the calculation cost. This study presents a new parameterization method to improve both problems of Sbo. The new parameterization is addressed by decoupling affine transformations (dilation, rotation, shearing, and translation) within the Grassmannian submanifold, which enables a separate representation of the physical information of the airfoil in a highdimensional space. Building upon this, Principal Geodesic Analysis (PGA) is employed to achieve geometric control, compress the design space, reduce the number of design variables, reduce the dimensions of design variables and enhance predictive performance during the surrogate optimization process. For comparison, a dimensionality reduction space is defined using 95% of the energy, and RAE 2822 for transonic conditions are used as demonstrations. This method significantly enhances the optimization efficiency of the surrogate model while effectively enabling geometric constraints. In three-dimensional problems, it enables simultaneous design of planar shapes for various components of the aircraft and high-order perturbation deformations. Optimization was applied to the ONERA m6 wing, achieving a lift-drag ratio of 18.09, representing a 27.25% improvement compared to the baseline configuration. In comparison to conventional surrogate model optimization methods, which only achieved a 17.97% improvement, this approach demonstrates its superiority. Fabric-based composites with superior mechanical properties and excellent perceptive function are highly ***,it remains a huge challenge to attain structure-function integration,especially for hybrid fabric ***,a skin-inspired interface modification strategy is proposed toward this target by constructing a hybrid smart fabric system consisting of two types of smart fabrics:carbon nanotube(CNT)/mXene-modified aramid fabrics and zinc oxide nanorod(ZnO NR)-modified carbon *** on that,flexible piezoelectric pressure sensors with skin-like hierarchical perception interfaces are fabricated,which demonstrate superb sensitivity of 2.39 V·kPa^(-1)and are capable of various wearable monitoring ***,the interface-modified hybrid fabric reinforced plastics can also be fabricated,which are proven to possess 13.6%higher tensile strength,10.1%elastic *** impressively,their average energy absorption can be improved by 111.9%,accompanied with inherent damage alert *** offers a paradigm to fabricate structure-function integrated hybrid smart fabric composites for the smart clothing and intelligent aerial vehicles.

Obtaining clean energy is of prime importance for planetary health and sustainable *** aimed to assess the association between residential energy transition and the risk of chronic respiratory *** data from the Global Health Observatory and Global Burden of Diseases,Injuries,and Risk Factors Study,we delineated the spatial distribution and temporal trends of the population using clean fuels for cooking at a global *** the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study,we performed rigorous and well-structured multistage analyses incorporating both cross-sectional and prospective data analyses to examine the associations between solid fuel use,residential energy transition,duration of solid fuel use,and the risk of chronic respiratory *** great progress,huge disparities in access to clean energy persist *** energy transition was associated with a lower risk of chronic respiratory *** the period of 2011–2013,compared with persistent solid fuel users,both participants who switched from solid to clean fuels(adjusted risk ratio[RR]0.78,95%confidence interval[CI]0.62–0.98)and persistent clean fuel users(adjusted RR 0.71,95%CI 0.57–0.89)had significantly lower risk of chronic respiratory diseases(pm solid to clean fuels could reduce the risk of chronic respiratory *** is a valuable lesson for policy-makers and the general public to accelerate energy switching to alleviate the burden of chronic respiratory diseases and achieve health benefits,particularly in low-and middle-income countries.

Biological structural materials,despite consisting of limited kinds of compounds,display multifunctionalities due to their complex hierarchical *** some biomimetic strategies have been applied in artificial materials to enhance their mechanical stability,the simultaneous optimization of other functions along with the mechanical properties via biomimetic designs has not been thoroughly ***,iron oxide/carbon nanotube(CNT)-based artificial nacre with both improved mechanical and electromagnetic interference(EmI)shielding performance is fabricated via the mineralization of Fe_(3)O_(4)onto a CNTincorporated *** micro-and nano-structures of the artificial nacre are similar to those of natural nacre,which in turn improves its mechanical *** alternating electromagnetic wave-reflective CNT layers and the wave-absorptive iron oxide layers can improve the multiple reflections of the waves on the surfaces of the reflection layers,which then allows sufficient interactions between the waves and the absorption ***,compared with the reflection-dependent EmI-shielding of the non-structured material,the artificial nacre exhibits strong absorption-dependent shielding behavior even with a very low content of wave-absorptive *** to the high mechanical stability,the shielding effectiveness of the artificial nacre that deeply cut by a blade is still maintained at approximately 70%−96%depending on the incident wave *** present work provides a new way for designing structural materials with concurrently enhanced mechanical and functional properties,and a path to combine structural design and intrinsic properties of specific materials via a biomimetic strategy.

The service life of a blast furnace depends largely on the degree of damage to the carbon brick in the *** brick and ramming material in the hearth of a 1780 m3 blast furnace after shutdown were sampled and *** was found that the substances in the cracks of the carbon brick near and above the taphole were ZnO and Zn_(2)SiO_(4),whereas the substances in the cracks of the carbon brick below the taphole were *** reaction of Zn with CO,SiO_(2),and Fes generates ZnO,Zn_(2)SiO_(4),and ZnS,resulting in volume expansion,which is an important reason for the cracking of carbon ***,several obvious Zn vapor flow channels were found in the ramming material,through which Zn vapor could enter the carbon brick,causing damage to the carbon *** the compactness of the ramming material is beneficial to preventing Zn vapor from entering the carbon brick through the voids in the ramming material,reducing the destructive effect of Zn on the carbon brick and further extending the service life of the blast furnace.

A silicon carbide（SiC） double trench metal-oxide-semiconductor field effect transistor（DTmOS） with split gate（SG） and integrated Schottky barrier diode（SBD） is proposed for the first *** proposed device features two enhanced deep trenches in the surface,in which a source-connected SG with a thicker dielectric layer is located at the bottom of the deep gate trench and an integrated SBD is located at the sidewall of the deep source trench（DST）.Combined with shielding effect provided by the P+shield layer under the DST and integrated SBD,the proposed structure not only reduces the reverse transfer capacitance(Crss) and gate-drain charge(Qgd) but also restrains the saturation drain current(Id,sat) and improves the diode performance of the *** analysis results show that compared with the Con-DTmOS and Con-DTmOS with external SBD diode,the turn-on loss(Eon) and turn-off loss(Eoff) for the proposed device are reduced by 56.4%/70.4% and 56.6%/69.9%,***,the Id,satat the Vgsof 18 V for the proposed device is reduced by 74.4% and the short-circuit withstand time(tSC) is improved by about 7.5 *** a result,an ultra-low power loss and improved short-circuit capability is obtained for the proposed device.

Comprehensive Summary,The azepine ring is a prominent structural scaffold in biologically significant molecules. In this study, we present a Ni(II)-catalyzed asymmetric difunctionalization of alkynes, involving intermolecular regioselective arylation and intramolecular nitrile addition, enabling the synthesis of enantioenriched azepine derivatives. This reaction simultaneously installs an all-carbon quaternary stereocenter and introduces an unprotected imine functionality, showing great promise for subsequent transformations. The reaction exhibits good tolerance toward various functional groups, resulting in high yields and enantioselectivities. The synthetic utility of this methodology is further demonstrated through gram-scale synthesis and product derivatization. This research offers an efficient approach to the synthesis of seven-membered nitrogen heterocycles.
