The fast development of biomaterials science and engineering has generated significant number of studies and publications as well as tremendous amount of research data.A methodology is needed to translate such research data and results to validated scientific *** article for the first time proposes the concept and methodology of evidence-based biomaterials research,which is to use evidence-based research approach represented by systematic reviews to generate evidence for answering scientific questions related to *** briefly introducing the advancement of biomaterials since 1950s,the scientific and engineering nature of biomaterials are discussed along with the roadmap of biomaterials translation from basic research to commercialized medical products,and the needs of scientific *** information of the evidence-based approach such as its origination from evidence-based medicine,levels of evidence,systematic review and meta-analysis,differences between systematic and narrative reviews is then *** with a step-by-step procedure of conducting evidence-based biomaterials research,three examples of biomaterials research using evidence-based approach to generate scientific evidence,and opportunities and challenges of evidence-based biomaterials research are *** its notable impact on the practice of medicine,the evidence-based approach is also expected to make influential contributions to the biomaterials field.

SERS光谱技术在结直肠癌诊断中的应用效果

选取扬州大学附属江都人民医院收集的50例结直肠癌组血清和50例健康组血清。以金纳米星(AuNS)为基底,利用Renishaw inVia Reflex激光共焦Raman光谱仪,对血清样本的表面增强Raman散射(SERS)光谱进行测定。借助Origin 2021对Min-Max归一... 详细信息

选取扬州大学附属江都人民医院收集的50例结直肠癌组血清和50例健康组血清。以金纳米星(AuNS)为基底,利用Renishaw inVia Reflex激光共焦Raman光谱仪,对血清样本的表面增强Raman散射(SERS)光谱进行测定。借助Origin 2021对Min-Max归一化后平均光谱的特征峰分析,并用主成分分析(PCA)-K最邻近(KNN)模型对关键特征提取、分类。结果表明AuNS基底具有良好的均匀性、灵敏度和洁净性。结直肠癌患者在572、633、873、1065、1314、1417和1655 cm^(-1)特征峰处强度明显高于健康组,在1000和1536 cm^(-1)特征峰处强度低于健康组。PCA-KNN模型的准确率达到95%,灵敏度、特异性和曲线下的面积(AUC)分别达到90.0%、96.7%和0.933。结合PCA-KNN模型和SERS光谱技术可实现对结直肠癌快速、准确的识别,为诊断结肠癌提供了一种探索性的新方法。

Quality of reporting and adherence to the ARRIVE guidelines 2.0 for preclinical degradable metal research in animal models of bone defect and fracture:a systematic review

In vivo testing is crucial for the evaluation of orthopedic implant efficacy and ***,the translation and reproducibility of preclinical animal experiments are not always satisfactory,and reporting quality is among the essential factors that ensure appropriate delivery of *** this study,we assessed the reporting quality of in vivo investigations that examined the use of degradable metal materials in fracture or bone defect *** employed scientific databases,such as PubMed,EMBASE,Web of Science,Cochrane Library,CNKI,WanFang,VIP and Sinomed to screen for in vivo investigations on fracture or bone defect repair using degradable metal materials,and extracted both epidemiological and main characteristics of eligible studies,and assessed their reporting quality using the ARRIVE guidelines ***,263 publications were selected,including 275 animal *** overall coincidence rate of Essential 10(22 sub-items)and Recommended Set(16 sub-items)were 42.0%and 41.5%,*** on our analysis,the reporting quality of the published in vivo investigations examining fracture/bone defect repair with degradable metal materials was low,and there was a lack of transparent,accurate and comprehensive reporting on key elements of the experimental design and other elements that are meant to avoid bias.

The formation of humins hampers the large-scale production of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural(HMF)in ***,a detailed reaction network of humin formation at the initial stage of fructose-to-HMF dehydration in water is delineated by combined experimental,spectroscopic,and theoretical *** bimolecular reaction pathways to build up soluble humins are *** is,the intermolecular etherification of β-furanose at room temperature initiates the C12 path,whereas the C-C cleavage of a-furanose at 130-150℃ leads to C11 path,and that of open-chain fructose at 180℃ to C11' *** successive intramolecular dehydrations and condensations of the as-formed bimolecular intermediates lead to three types of soluble *** show that the C12 path could be restrained by using HCl or AlCl_(3) catalyst,and both the C12 and C110 paths could be effectively inhibited by adding THF as a co-solvent or accelerating heating rate via microwave heating.

Investigation of mechanical and electrical characteristics of selfsensing pneumatic torsional actuators

Soft pneumatic actuators are one of the most promising actuation for soft robots,and great achievements have been *** it remains challenging to endow sensing capabilities to pneumatic actuators,especially for the sensing ability originating directly from the actuator ***,a self-sensing pneumatic torsional actuator(SPTA)is designed based on the electromagnetic induction effect and magnetically responsive *** SPTA can generate feedback voltage and current with the deformation,in which the sensing function comes from its inherent *** investigate the mechanical and electrical characteristics,an experimental platform and a finite element model are established,*** find that the torsion angle and output torque increase in nonlinear with the actuating *** maximum torsion angle is 66.35°,which is 84.34%of that for the actuator fabricated by pure *** maximum output torque(24.9 N mm)improves by 23.19%compared with the actuator made by pure *** regards the electrical characteristics,the maximum feedback voltage and current are 2.90μV and 29.50 nA when the SPTA is actuated by a pressure of−40 *** also demonstrate that the relationship between the torsion angle and the magnetic flux change is approximately ***,the number of turns of wires,magnetic powders contents,and magnetic direction on the feedback voltage and current are *** show that the feedback voltage and current can be enhanced by increasing the number of turns and magnetic powders *** envision that the SPTA would be promising for soft robots to realize their accuracy control and intelligentization.

Effect of CO_(2) Opposing Multiple Jets on Thermoacoustic Instability and NO_(x) Emissions in a Lean-Premixed Model Combustor

This paper experimentally studied the effect of CO_(2) opposing multiple jets on the thermoacoustic instability and NO_(x) emissions in a lean-premixed model *** feasibility was verified from three variables:the CO_(2) jet flow rate,hole numbers,and hole diameters of the *** indicate that the control effect of thermoacoustic instability and NO_x emissions show a reverse trend with the increase of open area ratio on the whole,and the optimal jet flow rate range is 1-4 L/min with CO_(2) opposing multiple *** this flow rate range,the amplitude and frequency of the dynamic pressure and heat release signals CH~* basically decrease as the CO_(2) flow rate increases,which avoids high-frequency and high-amplitude thermoacoustic *** amplitude-damped ratio of dynamic pressure and CH*can reach as high as 98.75% and 93.64% with an optimal open area ratio of 3.72%.NO_(x) emissions also decrease as the jet flow rate increases,and the maximum suppression ratio can reach 68.14%.Besides,the flame shape changes from a steep inverted "V" to a more flat "M",and the flame length will become shorter with CO_(2) opposing multiple *** research achieved the synchronous control of thermoacoustic instability and NO_(x) emissions,which could be a design reference for constructing a safer and cleaner combustor.
