Designing metal-organic framework fiber network reinforced polymer electrolytes to provide continuous ion transport in solid state lithium metal batteries

Polyethylene oxide(PEO)-based solid-state electrolytes are considered ideal for electrolyte materials in solid-state lithium metal batteries(SSLMBs).However,practical applications are hindered by the lower conductivity and poor interfacial stability.Here,we propose a strategy to construct a three-dimensional(3D)fiber network of metal-organic frameworks(MOFs).Composite solid electrolytes(CSEs)with continuous ion transport pathways were fabricated by filling a PEO polymer matrix in fibers containing interconnected MOFs.This 3D fiber network provides a fast Li+transport path and effectively improves the ionic conductivity(1.36×10^(-4) S·cm^(-1),30℃).In addition,the network of interconnected MOFs not only effectively traps the anions,but also provides sufficient mechanical strength to prevent the growth of Li dendrites.Benefiting from the advantages of structural design,the CSEs stabilize the Li/electrolyte interface and extend the cycle life of the Li-symmetric cells to 3000 h.The assembled SSLMBs exhibit excellent cycling performance at both room and high temperatures.In addition,the constructed pouch cells can provide an areal capacity of 0.62 mA·h·cm^(-2),which can still operate under extreme conditions.This work provides a new strategy for the design of CSEs with continuous structure and stable operation of SSLMBs.

The rational and effective combination of multicomponent materials and ingenious microstructure design for efficient electromagnetic wave(EMW)absorption are still challenging.In this paper,MXene was used as the aerogel matrix,modified with sea urchin-like magnetic Co/N-doped carbon@polyaniline(Co-NC@PANI),gelatin was introduced as the reinforcement phase of the aerogel backbone,and a microwave absorber with high efficiency and excellent performance was successfully prepared.The sea urchin-like Co-NC@PANI not only adjusted the impedance matching of the MXene but also introduced a magnetic loss mode into the composite.The multicomponent interfacial polarization,heterostructure,three-dimensional(3D)lightweight porous structure,and electromagnetic synergy strategy enabled the MXene-based aerogel modified by Co-NC@PANI(MCoP)to exhibit surprising EMW absorption properties.The maximum reflection loss(RL_(max))of the aerogel composite reached-62.4 dB,and the effective absorption bandwidth(EAB)reached 6.56 GHz when the loading was only 12%.In addition,through electromagnetic simulation experiments,the change in the electromagnetic field before and after EMW passed through the materials and the distribution of the volume loss density of EMW by the coaxial ring were observed.The coordinated electromagnetic balance strategy in the 3D network provides inspiration for the construction of materials and expands the research direction of lightweight and outstanding microwave absorbers.

A Caching Strategy Based on Many-to-Many Matching Game in D2D Networks

Wireless edge caching has been proposed to reduce data traffic congestion in backhaul links, and it is being envisioned as one of the key components of next-generation wireless networks. This paper focuses on the influences of different caching strategies in Device-to-Device(D2D) networks. We model the D2D User Equipments(DUEs) as the Gauss determinantal point process considering the repulsion between DUEs, as well as the caching replacement process as a many-to-many matching game. By analyzing existing caching placement strategies, a new caching strategy is proposed, which represents the preference list of DUEs as the ratio of content popularity to cached probability. There are two distinct features in the proposed caching strategy.(1) It can cache other contents besides high popularity contents.(2) It can improve the cache hit ratio and reduce the latency compared with three caching placement strategies: Least Recently Used(LRU), Equal Probability Random Cache(EPRC), and the Most Popular Content Cache(MPC). Meanwhile, we analyze the effect of caching on the system performance in terms of different content popularity factors and cache capacity. Simulation results show that our proposed caching strategy is superior to the three other comparison strategies and can significantly improve the cache hit ratio and reduce the latency.

DITCHES AND PONDS CAN BE THE SOURCES OR SINKS OF NON-POINT SOURCE POLLUTION:OBSERVATIONS IN AN UPLAND AREA IN THE JINGLINXI CATCHMENT,CHINA

As the common features of agroecosystems,ditches and ponds benefit the irrigation and drainage,as well as intercepting non-point source pollutants.However,most ditch-pond studies have been conducted in lowland areas.To test this source-sink assumption in upland areas,this study made observations on the ecological function of the ditch and pond system in a typical catchment in China.First,the changes in ponds in the catchment were analyzed using high-resolution remote sensing data.Then,the migration of agricultural pollutants in ditches and ponds were analyzed by field sampling and laboratory detection.The results showed that over the past 15 years the length of ditches in the catchment and the number of small ponds(<500 m2)have increased by 32%and 75%,respectively.The rate of change in nutrient concentrations in the ditches and ponds were mostly from-20%to 20%,indicating ditches and ponds can be both sources and sinks for agricultural pollutants.Lastly,the contributing factors were explored and it was found that ditches and ponds are important sinks in dry season.However,during the rainy season,ditches and ponds become sources of pollutants,with the rapid drainage of ditches and the overflow of ponds in upland areas.The results of this study revealed that the ditches and ponds could be used for ecological engineering in upland catchments to balance drainage and intercept pollutants.

High performance of multi-layered alternating Ni-Fe-P and Co-P films for hydrogen evolution

Judiciously engineering the electrocatalysts is attractive and challenging to exploit materials with high electrocatalytic performance for hydrogen evolution reaction.Herein,we successfully perform the interface engineering by alternately depositing Co±P and Ni±Fe±P films on nickel foam,via facile electroless plating and de-alloying process.This work shows that there is a significant effect of de-alloying process on alloy growth.The electronic structure of layered alloys is improved by interface engineering.The multilayer strategy significantly promotes the charge transfer.Importantly,the Co±P/Ni±Fe±P/NF electrode fabricated by interface engineering exhibits excellent electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution activity with an overpotential of 43.4 mV at 10 mA cm^(-2)and long-term durability for 72 h in alkaline medium(1 mol L^(-1)KOH).The innovative strategy of this work may aid further development of commercial electrocatalysts.

以佛山某道路盾构工程堤坝保护为背景,开展了粉细砂地层经旋喷桩预加固后的浅埋大直径盾构隧道工程的三维数值仿真分析,研究了土体置换率对掌子面失稳变形的影响规律。结果表明:(1)对粉细砂地层进行加固可提高掌子面支护力的调节范围,其中掌子面主动极限支护力随土体置换率提高而降低,土体置换率至30%后基本不再变化;(2)粉细砂地层加固对支护力不足产生的主动失稳变形有显著抑制作用,相比不加固工况,30%的置换率可使掌子面失稳时地层最大水平位移及地表最大沉降量分别降低90%及95%,依托工程所采用的4.52%土体置换率也可使最大水平位移及最大沉降量分别降低45%及30%。

Angular color uniformity enhancement of white light-emitting diodes by remote micro-patterned phosphor film

Angular color uniformity(ACU)is a key factor used to evaluate the light quality of white-light emitting diodes(LEDs).In this study,a novel double remote micro-patterned phosphor film(double RMPP film)was used to enhance the ACU of a remote phosphor(RP)down-light lamp.A conventional RP film and remote phosphor film with single micro-patterned film(single RMPP film)also were examined for comparison.The angular correlated color temperature(CCT)distributions and the optical performance of the films were experimentally measured.The measurement results showed that double RMPP film configuration exhibited better color uniformity with a CCT deviation of only 441 K,compared with 556 K for the single RMPP film configuration and 1390 K for the RP film configuration.A simulation based on FDTD and ray tracing combined method also confirmed the ACU improvement.In addition,compared with the conventional RP film,the luminous efficiency of single and double RMPP film configurations was increased by 6.68% and 4.69%,respectively,at a driving current of 350 mA.The enhancement of the ACU and luminous efficiency are due to the scattering and mixing effect of the micropatterned film.Moreover,the double RMPP film configuration had better CCT stability at different currents than the other two configurations.The results demonstrated the effectiveness and superiority of double RMPP film in white LED applications.

Oxygen electrocatalysts are of great importance for the air electrode in zinc-air batteries(ZABs).Owing to the high specific surface area,controllable pore size and unsaturated metal active sites,metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)derivatives have been widely studied as oxygen electrocatalysts in ZABs.To date,many strategies have been developed to generate efficient oxygen electrocatalysts from MOFs for improving the performance of ZABs.In this review,the latest progress of the MOF-derived non-noble metal-oxygen electrocatalysts in ZABs is reviewed.The performance of these MOF-derived catalysts toward oxygen reduction,and oxygen evolution reactions is discussed based on the categories of metal-free carbon materials,single-atom catalysts,metal cluster/carbon composites and metal compound/carbon composites.Moreover,we provide a comprehensive overview on the design strategies of various MOF-derived non-noble metal-oxygen electrocatalysts and their structure-performance relationship.Finally,the challenges and perspectives are provided for further advancing the MOF-derived oxygen electrocatalysts in ZABs.

Spatio-temporal analysis and simulation on shallow rainfall-induced landslides in China using landslide susceptibility dynamics and rainfall I-D thresholds

An empirical simulation method to simulate the possible position of shallow rainfall-induced landslides in China has been developed.This study shows that such a simulation may be operated in real-time to highlight those areas that are highly prone to rainfall-induced landslides on the basis of the landslide susceptibility index and the rainfall intensity-duration(I-D) thresholds.First,the study on landslide susceptibility in China is introduced.The entire territory has been classified into five categories,among which high-susceptibility regions(Zone 4-'High' and 5-'Very high') account for 4.15%of the total extension of China.Second,rainfall is considered as an external triggering factor that may induce landslide initiation.Real-time satellite-based TMPA3B42 products may provide real rainfall spatial and temporal patterns,which may be used to derive rainfall duration time and intensity.By using a historical record of 60 significant past landslides,the rainfall I-D equation has been calibrated.The rainfall duration time that may trigger a landslide has resulted between 3 hours and 45 hours.The combination of these two aspects can be exploited to simulate the spatiotemporal distribution of rainfall-induced landslide hazards when rainfall events exceed the rainfall I-D thresholds,where the susceptibility category is 'high' or 'very high'.This study shows a useful tool to be part of a systematic landslide simulation methodology,potentially providing useful information for a theoretical basis and practical guide for landslide prediction and mitigation throughout China.
