Hybrid nanoSiO_(2) (HNS) modified cement pastes were explored as a kind of surface protection material (SPM).The carbonation resistance and mechanical properties of SPMs coated samples were *** analysis (TGA),X-ray diffraction (XRD),scanning electron microscope (SEM),and mercury intrusion porosimetry (MIP) were further employed to evaluate the chemical composition and microstructure characteristics of ***,thermodynamic modeling was adopted to simulate the changes in the phase assemblages of SPM under the carbonation *** results showed that SPM with 1 wt% HNS could effectively enhance the carbonation *** incorporation of HNS could densify the microstructure and refine the pore ***,the thaumasite can be stable at ambient temperature with the addition of HNS,which is beneficial to maintain alkalinity under the carbonation process.

An ultra-low carbon acicular ferrite steel heavy plate was obtained with an advanced thermo-mechanical control process-relaxed precipitation controlled transformation （TMCP-RPC） at xiangtan Steel, Valin Group. The heavy plate has a tensile strength of approximately 600 MPa with a lower yield ratio. The impact toughness of the heavy plate achieves 280 J at ？40°C. The fine-grained mixed microstructures of the heavy plate mainly consist of acicular ferrite, granular bainite, and polygonal ferrite. The high strength and excellent toughness of the heavy plate are attributed to the formation of acicular ferrite microstructure. The prevention of blocks of martensite/retained austenite （M/A） and the higher cleanness are also responsible for the superior toughness.

The corrosion-resistant coating formed on the surface of sintered Nd-Fe-B magnet by a phosphate chemical conversion(PCC)treatment was *** morphology,phase composition and thickness of the coating were investigated by field emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM),energy-dispersive spectrometer(EDS),Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)spectrometer and coating thickness *** corrosion behaviour of the phosphated magnet was evaluated by copper sulphate spot test,neutral salt spray test and electrochemical potentiodynamic polarization *** magnetic properties of the phosphated magnet were also *** experimental results show that the phosphate coating has such characteristics as dense granular growth,uniform distribution and thickness range of 10-18μ*** corrosion resistance of the magnet is significantly improved by phosphate coating without losing magnetic ***,this highly efficient PCC was a good way for increasing the corrosion resistance of the sintered Nd-Fe-B magnets.

‘Co-control',or synergistically reducing CO_(2)and local air polluta nt emissions,is an important strategy for cities to achieve'low carb on'and'blue sky'***,there were few studies to evaluate and compare the level of co-control of CO_(2) and local air pollutants in cities *** present study proposed qualitative and quantitative methods to evaluate the level of co-control of CO_(2)and three local air pollutant(SO_(2).NOX,and particulate matter PM)emissions in key environmental protection cities in China over two periods(2012-2015 and 2015-2018).Statistical analysis found that,though three local air pollutant emissions positively correlated with CO_(2) emission,no significantly positive correlation was found between local air pollutants emission reductions and CO_(2) emission reductions,indicating that co-control effects were poor in *** using the co-control effect coordinate system,qualitative evaluation showed that less than half of the sample cities could achieve co-control of the total amount of CO_(2) and local air *** employing the indicator of emission reduction equivalence(EReq),quantitative evaluation showed that the co-control level of the sample cities improved in 2015-2018 compared with *** regression analysis showed that,reducing coal consumption and economic development significantly enhanced the co-control performance of the observed *** present case study proved that the proposed methods for evaluation and comparison of the city co-control performance works well,and can be used in other countries and regions to promote global cities racing to carbon and local air pollutants co-control.

Proton-conductive metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)have attracted great attention for their promising application in membrane fuel *** explore proton-conductive MOFs with high performance,here we present four lanthanide-hypophosphite frameworks with distinct amine *** complexes possess a general formula[AH][Gd_(2)(H_(2)PO_(2))_(7)(AH=protonated amines)].Due to the rich hydrogen bond networks,complex 1 with guanidinium as guest shows high proton conductivity of 1.75×10^(-2) S·cm^(-1) at a relative humidity of 97%(368 K).We also studied the magnetic properties of complex 1 and reveal that the hypophosphite ligand transfers weak antiferromagnetic interactions between Gd^(3+)ions.

Background Three-North Afforestation Program(TNAP)in China is the largest ecological restoration project on Earth(ongoing from 1978 to 2050),harboring a huge area of newly planted forests,which provides a wealth of goods and ecosystem services that benefit society at levels ranging from region to East *** project-induced carbon(C)sink has been expected to be large,but its size and location remain *** In this study,we investigated the changes in the C stocks of biomass,soil C and the C accumulation ben-efited from the ecological effects in the project areas from 1978 to 2017 within the Three-North regions(4.069×10^(6)km^(2)),and evaluated its project-induced C *** a combination of remote sensing images,field obser-vations and national forest inventory data,we estimated a total ecosystem sink of 47.06 Tg C per year(1 Tg=10^(12)g)increased by the TNAP ***,we first found that the C sink via the ecological effects of this project could contribute to a high proportion up to 15.94%,indicating a critical role of ecological effects in shaping the distribution of C stocks in the protective *** finding suggests that it is necessary to explicitly consider carbon sequestration benefited from the ecological effects when estimating C sink and parameterizing C models of the restoration projects in China and *** Our results update the estimates of C pools in the world’s largest ecological restoration project area,demonstrating that this project has substantially contributed to mitigating the climate change.

A fully integrated X-ray photoelectron spectrometer(XPS) was employed for the investigation of the separation processes and recombination behaviors of photogenerated electrons and holes on the surface of AgCl and ultra-small nano-titanium oxide cluster composite photocatalyst(AgCl/TiO_(2)).A facile route,by direct colloidal synthesis,for preparing AgCl/TiO_(2)with high stability and enhanced visible light(Vis) driven catalytic activity was *** photocatalytic activity of AgCl/TiO_(2),which revealed that the photo-degradation rate of the as-prepared AgCl/TiO_(2)was nearly 10.5 times higher than that of bare AgCl,was evaluated by applying it to the photo-degradation of methyl orange(MO) in water ***,AgCl/TiO_(2)exhibited an outstanding long-term stability during ten cycles of *** band gap of AgCl decreased from 3.25 to 2.85 eV because of the ultrasmall nano-TiO_(2)clusters that were pinned to its *** results indicate that the band gap narrowing and surface plasmon resonance(SPR) of Ag(0) were two major contributors to the enhancement of the photocatalytic activity of AgCl/TiO_(2)by improving the utilization of *** situ XPS analysis was,therefore,certified as a beneficial method to explore the catalytic mechanism of photocatalysts.
