Herein, the de novo synthesis of atropisomeric benzofurans through the Cu/spirocyclic-pyrrolidine-oxazoline(SPDO) complex catalyze asymmetric formal [3 + 2] cycloaddition between quinones and ynamides is explored, producing a range of structurally diverse axially chiral benzofurans in satisfactory yields with good to excellent enantioselectivities. Furthermore, density functional theory calculations were applied to explain the possible reaction mechanism.

The conventional perception of astrocytes as mere supportive cells within the brain has recently been called into question by empirical evidence, which has revealed their active involvement in regulating brain function and encoding behaviors associated with ***, astrocytes in the basolateral amygdala have been found to play a role in the modulation of anxiety-like behaviors triggered by chronic stress. Nevertheless, the precise molecular mechanisms by which basolateral amygdala astrocytes regulate chronic stress–induced anxiety-like behaviors remain to be fully elucidated. In this study, we found that in a mouse model of anxiety triggered by unpredictable chronic mild stress, the expression of excitatory amino acid transporter 2 was upregulated in the basolateral amygdala. Interestingly, our findings indicate that the targeted knockdown of excitatory amino acid transporter 2 specifically within the basolateral amygdala astrocytes was able to rescue the anxiety-like behavior in mice subjected to stress. Furthermore, we found that the overexpression of excitatory amino acid transporter 2 in the basolateral amygdala, whether achieved through intracranial administration of excitatory amino acid transporter 2agonists or through injection of excitatory amino acid transporter 2-overexpressing viruses with GfaABC1D promoters, evoked anxiety-like behavior in mice. Our single-nucleus RNA sequencing analysis further confirmed that chronic stress induced an upregulation of excitatory amino acid transporter 2 specifically in astrocytes in the basolateral amygdala. Moreover, through in vivo calcium signal recordings, we found that the frequency of calcium activity in the basolateral amygdala of mice subjected to chronic stress was higher compared with normal *** knocking down the expression of excitatory amino acid transporter 2 in the basolateral amygdala, the frequency of calcium activity was not significantly increased, and anxiety-like behavior was ob

Designing highly active and stable electrocatalysts of oxygen evolution reaction （OER） is one of the crucial *** this study,a novel OER electrocatalyst,NiFe-MIL-53 modified with ultra-low rhodium（Rh@NiFe-MIL-53）,is successfully prepared via the hydrothermal ***-situ Raman spectroscopy and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy reveal that the doped Rh accelerates the phase transformation of NiFe-MIL-53 and the in-situ formed Rh@NiFeOOH is the actual active *** importantly,the enhanced reversibility of electrochemical reconstruction between NiFeOOH and NiFe（OH）2after doping Rh is beneficial for improving the electrochemical stability of the catalyst.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy spectra show the strong electronic interaction between single-atom Rh and Ni/Fe in Rh@***,theoretical calculations confirm that the integration of single-atom Rh into the NiFeOOH successfully reduces the band gap,regulates the d-band center （εd）,accelerates the charge transfer,and optimizes the adsorption behavior of oxygen-containing intermediates,thereby lowering the energy barrier of rate-determining ***,the optimized Rh@NiFe-MIL-53 exhibits excellent OER activity （240 mV） with a small Tafel slope of 48.2 mV dec-1and long-term durability (over1270 h at 10 m A cm-2and 110 h at 200 mA cm-2).This work presents a new perspective on designing highly efficient OER electrocatalysts.

In this paper,we study the problem of domain adaptation,which is a crucial ingredient in transfer learning with two domains,that is,the source domain with labeled data and the target domain with none or few *** adaptation aims to extract knowledge from the source domain to improve the performance of the learning task in the target domain.A popular approach to handle this problem is via adversarial training,which is explained by the H△H-distance ***,traditional adversarial network architectures just align the marginal feature distribution in the feature *** alignment of class condition distribution is not ***,we proposed a novel method based on pseudo labels and the cluster assumption to avoid the incorrect class alignment in the feature *** experiments demonstrate that our framework improves the accuracy on typical transfer learning tasks.

BACKGROUND Extramedullary plasmacytoma(EMP)represents one of the rarer forms of plasma cell malignancies,capable of impacting a variety of tissues and organs throughout the *** majority of EMP cases are predominantly found in the head and neck region,especially within the laryngopharynx,as well as in the gastrointestinal *** there have been documented instances of oropharyngeal involvement in EMP cases in the academic literature,it is important to note that EMP specifically affecting the uvula is exceedingly ***,it is noteworthy that over 60% of epithelial carcinomas in the upper respiratory tract and oropharynx tend to metastasize to the cervical lymph nodes,indicating a propensity for regional spread in these types of *** this context,we present a rare case of extramedullary plasmacytoma where the uvula served as the initially affected *** case emphasizes the need for heightened awareness among clinicians regarding such unusual comorbidities,as early recognition and diagnosis can significantly influence patient management and treatment *** addition,a review of the relevant literature is included to further educate and inform healthcare professionals about this rare presentation,ultimately aiming to enhance clinical understanding and improve patient care in similar *** SUMMARY A 51-year-old man was admitted to our hospital because of a slowly enlarging neck mass.A physical examination revealed a palpable left lymph node,and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)of the oropharynx and the neck showed a soft tissue mass in the oropharynx and enlargement of multiple lymph nodes in the *** soft tissue mass was diagnosed as plasmacytoma by immunohistochemical *** immunoglobulins and bone marrow biopsy showed normal ***,we diagnosed that as EMP of the *** four cycles of adjuvant chemotherapy dominated by bortezomib,MRI reexamination showed a significant reduction of the mass

We study phase behaviors of mixtures comprising active particles with and without active reorientation by varying mixing *** observe that the order parameter characterizing flocking in the steady state exhibits a linear decrease with an increase in mixing *** the order parameter characterizing clustering in the steady state presents a sharp leap as the mixing ratio ***,we obtain phase diagrams of flocking under different mixing ratios and observe that the domain corresponding to flocking experiences a contraction with the increase of mixing ***,the coordinates of the critical point on the phase boundary between the flocking and the disordered phase decay exponentially with the mixing ratio.

Improved Electrochemical Performance of Orthorhombic LiMn(1-x)CrxO_2 Synthesized by Hydrothermal Method

Single phase chromium-substituted orthorhombic LiMn1-xCrxO2 （0≤x≤0.05） were successfully synthesized by hydrothermal treatment of Mn2O3, Cr2O3 and lithium hydroxide aqueous solution. Structure and morphologies of the o-LiMn1-xCrxO2 were characterized by X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy. Compared to the particle size of o-LiMnO2 ranging from 50 to 150 nm, the Cr-doped one is larger with about 500 nm, which is agglomerated by small grains. There are high stacking faults in nanosized grains that cause easier phase transformation from the orthorhombic to the spinel-like structure on cycling. High-resolution transmission electron microscopy image analysis of electrochemically cycled o-LiMn1-xCrxO2 （x=0, 0.05） samples showed that the nanodomain structure in o-LiMn0.95Cr0.05O2 was comparatively perfect to that in o-LiMnO2. Particle agglomeration and the relatively perfect crystal structure are two key factors for improving cycle performance of o-LiMn0.95Cr0.05O2. The obtained o-LiMn0.95Cr0.05O2 can reach a maximum discharge capacity of 174 mA·h·g^-1 at 0.1 C rate in seventh cycle. The discharge capacity fade rate of the samples decreased with increasing Cr amount. Furthermore, o-LiMn0.95Cr0.05O2 gives a highest discharge capacity of 150 mA·h·g^-1 at a high current rate of 0.5 C, and retains 130 mA·h·g^-1 after 40 cycles.

Large pressure equipment needs to be tested regularly to ensure safe operation;wall-climbing robots can carry the necessary tools to inspect spherical tanks,such as cameras and non-destructive testing ***,a wall-climbing robot inside a spherical tank cannot be accurately positioned owing to the particularity of the spherical tank *** paper proposes a passive support and positioning mechanism fixed in a spherical tank to improve the adsorption capacity and positioning accuracy of the inspection *** main body of the mechanism was designed as a truss composed of carbon fiber telescopic rods and can work in spherical tanks with diameters of 4.6-15.7 *** structural strength,stiffness,and stability of the mechanism are analyzed via force and deformation *** constructing a mathematical model of the support and positioning mechanism,the influence of structural deformation on the supporting capacity is analyzed and *** robot positioning method based on the support and positioning mechanism can effectively locate the robot inside a spherical *** verified the support performance and robot positioning accuracy of the *** research proposes an auxiliary support and positioning mechanism for a detection robot inside a spherical tank,which can effectively improve the positioning accuracy of the robot and meet the robotic inspection requirements.
