TaARR1, a cytokinin response regulator gene in Triticum aestivum, is essential in plant N starvation tolerance via regulating the N acquisition and N assimilation

Plant N starvation response is closely associated with the N signaling components that involve transduction of the low-N cues. In this study, we functionally characterized Ta ARR1, a cytokinin(CK) response regulator gene in Triticum aestivum, in mediating the N starvation adaptation in plants. Ta ARR1 harbors two conserved domains specified by plant ARR family members;subcellular localization analysis indicated its target onto nucleus after endoplasmic reticulum assortment. Ta ARR1 displayed modified expression upon the N starvation stressor, showing upregulated expression in roots and leaves over a 27-h N starvation treatment and whose induced transcripts were gradually recovered along with progression of the N recovery treatment. The tobacco lines overexpressing Ta ARR1 displayed improved low-N stress tolerance, displaying enlarged phenotype, increased biomass and N accumulation, and enhanced glutamine synthetase(GS) activities compared with wild type(WT) following the N starvation treatment. Expression analysis on genes encoding the nitrate transporter(NRT) and GS proteins in nicotiana tabacum revealed that Nt NRT2.2 and Nt GS3 are upregulated in expression in the N-deprived transgenic lines, whose expression patterns were contrasted to other above family genes that were unaltered on transcripts between the transgenic lines and WT. Transgene analysis validated the function of Nt NRT2.2 and Nt GS3 in regulating N accumulation, GS activity, growth traits, and N use efficiency in plants. These results suggested the internal connection between the Ta ARR1-mediated N starvation tolerance and the modified transcription of distinct N acquisitionand assimilation-associated genes. Our investigation together indicates that Ta ARR1 is essential in plant N starvation adaptation due to the gene function in transcriptionally regulating distinct NRT and GS genes that affect plant N uptake and assimilation under the N starvation condition.

In order to improve the effective recovery of straw,a new type of straw picking and cutting device was designed.A new type of roller moving knife mechanism was used which can realize simultaneous picking and cutting.A hammer claw was used to pick up and cut straw for the first time,and a roller moving knife was used to cut straw for the second *** software was used to conduct static and modal analyses of the moving roller shaft and optimize the structure of the cutting part and the staggered arrangement of hammer *** first-order resonance frequency of the hammer claw shaft is 205.84 Hz,and the first-order natural frequency of the pulling roller moving knife mechanism is 214.35 Hz,which can avoid resonance and realize efficient picking and cutting of straw.

This study provides an integrated interpretation for the Mesozoic-Cenozoic tectonothermal evolutionary history of the Permian strata in the Qishan area of the southwestern Weibei Uplift,Ordos *** fission-track and apatite/zircon(U-Th)/He thermochronometry,bitumen reflectance,thermal conductivity of rocks,paleotemperature recovery,and basin modeling were used to restore the Meso-Cenozoic tectonothermal history of the Permian *** Triassic AFT data have a pooled age of^180±7 Ma with one age peak and P(χ2)=86%.The average value of corrected apatite(U-Th)/He age of two Permian sandstones is^168±4 Ma and a zircon(U-Th)/He age from the Cambrian strata is^231±14 *** reflectance and maximum paleotemperature of two Ordovician mudstones are 1.81%,1.57%and^210℃,~196℃*** undergoing a rapid subsidence and increasing temperature in Triassic influenced by intrusive rocks in some areas,the Permian strata experienced four cooling-uplift stages after the time when the maximum paleotemperature reached in late Jurassic:(1)A cooling stage(~163 Ma to^140 Ma)with temperatures ranging from^132℃to^53℃and a cooling rate of^3℃/Ma,an erosion thickness of^1900 m and an uplift rate of^82 m/Ma;(2)A cooling stage(~140 Ma to^52 Ma)with temperatures ranging from^53℃to^47℃and a cooling rate less than^0.1℃/Ma,an erosion thickness of^300 m and an uplift rate of^3 m/Ma;(3)(~52 Ma to^8 Ma)with^47℃to^43℃and^0.1℃/Ma,an erosion thickness of^500 m and an uplift rate of^11 m/Ma;(3)(~8 Ma to present)with^43℃to^20℃and^3℃/Ma,an erosion thickness of^650 m and an uplift rate of^81 m/*** tectonothermal evolutionary history of the Qishan area in Triassic was influenced by the interaction of the Qinling Orogeny and the Weibei Uplift,and the south Qishan area had the earliest uplift-cooling time compared to other parts within the Weibei *** early Eocene at^52 Ma and the late Miocene at^8 Ma,as two significant turning points after which both the rate of uplift and the rat

A Stackelberg Game for Spectrum Leasing in Cooperative Cognitive Radio Networks

According to the property-rights model of cognitive radio, primary users （PUs） who own the spectrum resource have the right to lease part of spectrum to secondary users （SUs） in exchange for appropriate profit. In this paper, we propose a pricing-based spectrum leasing framework between one PU and multiple SUs. In this scenario, the PU attempts to maximize its utility by setting the price of spectrum. Then, the selected SUs have the right to decide their power levels to help PU s transmission, aiming to obtain corresponding access time. The spectrum leasing problem can be cast into a stackelberg game, where the PU plays the seller-level game and the selected SUs play the buyer-level game. Through analysis based on the backward induction, we prove that there exists a unique equilibrium in the stackelberg game with certain constraints. Numerical results show that the proposed pricing-based spectrum leasing framework is effective, and the performance of both PU and SUs is improved, compared to the traditional mechanism without cooperation.

Thermodynamic analysis of improvement of converter gas by injecting pulverized coal into vaporization cooling flue

In order to improve the calorific value and the recovery yield of converter gas during the steelmaking process, a novel and thermodynamically admissible process was proposed. This method involved injecting pulverized coal into the vaporization cooling flue of a converter, and the approach was developed based on an industrial 30 t converter. The effects of temperature, O2 content, and the volumetric ratio of CO to CO2 on the conversion of the mixed components of gas were analyzed using thermodynamic calculations. Furthermore, the effect of the injection rate on the quality and quantity of gas was investigated. The results show that the O2 and CO2 components of flue gas decrease as the injection rate increases, whereas the CO and H2 components synchronously increase. With the injection rate of 30 kg min-1, the 02 and CO2 components of the gas decreased by 64.12 and 41.19%, respectively, while the CO and H2 increased by 20.09 and 236.84%, respectively, and the recovery time of gas increased by 11.61%, compared to non-injection.

In recent decades,path planning for unmanned surface vehicles(USVs)in complex environments,such as harbours and coastlines,has become an important *** existing algorithms for real-time path planning for USVs are either too slow at replanning or unreliable in changing environments with multiple dynamic *** this study,we developed a novel path planning method based on the D^(*) lite algorithm for real-time path planning of USVs in complex *** proposed method has the following advantages:(1)the computational time for replanning is reduced significantly owing to the use of an incremental algorithm and a new method for modelling dynamic obstacles;(2)a constrained artificial potential field method is employed to enhance the safety of the planned paths;and(3)the method is practical in terms of vehicle *** performance of the proposed method was evaluated through simulations and compared with those of existing *** simulation results confirmed the efficiency of the method for real-time path planning of USVs in complex environments.

Photocatalytic activity of ferric oxide/titanium dioxide nanocomposite films on stainless steel fabricated by anodization and ion implantation

A simple surface treatment was used to develop photocatalytic activity for stainless steel. AISI 304 stainless steel specimens after anodization were implanted by Ti ions at an extracting voltage of 50 kV with an implantation dose of 3 × 10^15 ***-2 and then annealed in air at 450℃ for 2 h. The morphology was observed by scanning electron microscopy. The microstructure was characterized by X-ray diffraction and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue solution was carried out under ultraviolet light. The corrosion resistance of the stainless steel was evaluated in NaCl solution （3.5 wt%） by electrochemical polarization curves. It is found that the Ti ions depth profile resembles a Gaussian distribution in the implanted layer. The nanostructured Fe203/TiO2 composite film exhibits a remarkable enhancement in photocatalytic activity referenced to the mechanically polished specimen and anodized specimen. Meanwhile, the annealed Ti-implanted specimen remains good corrosion resistance.

Osteosarcoma(OS)is the most normally primary malignant bone cancer in *** to their analogous X-ray attenuation properties,healthy bones and malignancies with iodine enhancement cannot be distinguished by conventional computed tomography(CT).As one kind of spectral CT,dual-energy CT(DECT)offers multiple functions for material separation and cancer ***,bismuth sulfide(Bi_(2)S_(3))nanorods(NRs)were synthesized as special contrast agents(CAs)for DECT,which have superior imaging properties than clinical iodine *** the same time,the high photothermal conversion rates of Bi_(2)S_(3)NRs can be used for DECT-guided photothermal therapy(PTT)to destroy OS and inhibit tumor growth under the guidance of DECT ***,DECT imaging real-timely monitored that PTT could accelerate the diffusion of Bi2S3 NRs in the tumor,obtaining detailed information on the internal distribution of nanomaterials in tumors around the bone to avoid injury to normal tissues by ***,the proposed strategy of DECT imaging-guided PTT appears enormous promise for bone disease treatment.
