Growth kinetics of proeutectoid ferrite, including grain boundary face nucleated ferrite, grain boundary edge nucleated ferrite allotriomorph and intragranular ferrite idiomorph, were experimentally measured in an Fe- 0.09C-1.5Mn-0.2Si steel and compared with theoretical calculation in local equilibrium and paraequilibrium modes. Grain boundary edge nucleated ferrite exhibited larger growth rate than grain boundary face nucleated ferrite and in- tragranular ferrite idiomorph. Experimental kinetics of proeutectoid ferrite was within the window defined by the lo- cal equilibrium and paraequilibrium limits. A transition of growth kinetics from paraequilibrium to local equilibrium was observed in the temperature range of 650--750 ℃, which can be explained in terms of solute drag.

Flexible organic field-effect transistors(OFETs)using solution-processable functionalized graphene for all the electrodes(source,drain,and gate)have been fabricated for the first *** OFETs show performance comparable to corresponding devices using Au electrodes as the source/drain electrodes on SiO2/Si substrates with Si as the gate ***,these devices demonstrate excellent flexibility without performance degradation over severe bending ***,inverter circuits have been designed and fabricated using these all-graphene-electrode *** results demonstrate that the long-sought dream for all-carbon and flexible electronics is now much closer to reality.

In this study, a method based on low temperature purification （LTP） coupled with liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry （LC-MS/MS） was developed for the determination of abamectin （ABA） and ivermectin （IVR） in edible oils. ABA and IVR were extracted using conventional liquid-liquid extraction followed by purification via precipitation of interfering fatty components at low temperature without an additional cleanup step. LTP is simple, easy to use, labour-saving and cost effective, and requires reduced amounts of organic solvent. The linear ranges of ABA and IVR were 5- 1000 t^g/L using matrix-matched standards. Limits of detection （LOD） and limits of quantification （LOQ） were in the range of 0.1-0.4 i^g/kg and 0.3-1.3 p^g/kg, respectively. The LOQs were below the strictest maximum residue limits established by Codex Alimentarius Commission. Recoveries at three spiked levels of 10, 20 and 100 i^g/kg in peanut oil, corn oil, olive oil, soybean oil and lard ranged from 71.1% to 119.3% with relative standard deviations of 3.2%-10.3%, which were in agreement with those obtained by the solid phase extraction method. The proposed method was utilized in the analysis of 10 edible oil samples from local market and neither ABA nor IVR was detected. As far as we know, this is the first time that LTP is applied to the determination of avermectins in edible oils.

Nitrogen doping of activated carbon （AC） was performed by annealing both in ammonia and nitric oxide, and the activities of the modified carbons for NO reduction were studied in the presence of oxygen. Results show that nitrogen atoms were incorporated into the carbons, mostly in the form of pyridinic nitrogen or pyridonic nitrogen. The effect of nitrogen doping on the activities of the carbons can be ignored when oxygen is absent, but the doped carbons show desirable activities in the low temperature regime （≤500 ℃） when oxygen is present. The role of the surface nitrogen species is suggested to promote the formation of NO2 in the presence of oxygen, and NO2 can facilitate decomposition of the surface oxygen species in the low temperature regime

Numerous strategies involving multiple cross-linking networks have been applied for fabricating robust *** by this,the development of mechanically strong and tough biological fibers by the incorporation of intermolecular linking networks is becoming ***,we present a versatile strategy for the fabrication of protein-saccharide composite fibers through protein-initiated double interacting *** types of lysine-rich bioengineered proteins were introduced and the present multiple cross-linking interactions including electrostatic forces and covalent bonds significantly enhanced the mechanical properties of as-obtained composite *** stark contrast to pristine saccharide or other polymer fibers,the as-obtained composite fibers exhibited outstanding mechanical performance,showing a breaking strength of~768 MPa,Young’s modulus of~24 GPa,and toughness of~69 MJ∙m^(–3),***,this established approach has great potentials to fabricate new generation renewable biological fibers with high performance.

A boundary mode localized on one side of a finite-size lattice can tunnel to the opposite side which results in unwan.ed *** wisdom tells that the tunneling probability decays exponentially with the size of the system which thus requires many lattice sites before eventually becoming negligibly *** we show that the tunneling probability for some boundary modes can apparently vanish at specific ***,similar to bound states in the continuum,a boundary mode can be completely trapped within very few lattice sites where the bulk bandgap is not even *** intriguingly,the number of trapped states equals the number of lattice sites along the normal direction of the *** provide two configurations and validate the existence of this peculiar finite barrier-bound state experimentally in a dielectric photonic crystal at microwave *** work offers extreme flexibility in tuning the coupling between localized states and channels as well as a new mechanism that facilitates unprecedented manipulation of light.
