Peripheral nerve injury is a common neurological condition that often leads to severe functional limitations and *** on the pathogenesis of peripheral nerve injury has focused on pathological changes at individual injury sites,neglecting multilevel pathological analysis of the overall nervous system and target *** has led to restrictions on current therapeutic *** this paper,we first summarize the potential mechanisms of peripheral nerve injury from a holistic perspective,covering the central nervous system,peripheral nervous system,and target *** peripheral nerve injury,the cortical plasticity of the brain is altered due to damage to and regeneration of peripheral nerves;changes such as neuronal apoptosis and axonal demyelination occur in the spinal *** nerve will undergo axonal regeneration,activation of Schwan. cells,inflammatory response,and vascular system regeneration at the injury *** damage to target organs can occur,including skeletal muscle atrophy and sensory receptor *** then provide a brief review of the research advances in therapeutic approaches to peripheral nerve *** main current treatments are conducted passively and include physical factor rehabilitation,pharmacological treatments,cell-based therapies,and physical ***,most treatments only partially address the problem and cannot complete the systematic recovery of the entire central nervous system-peripheral nervous system-target organ ***,we should further explore multilevel treatment options that produce effective,long-lasting results,perhaps requiring a combination of passive(traditional)and active(novel)treatment methods to stimulate rehabilitation at the central-peripheral-target organ levels to achieve better functional recovery.

Heavy metal concentrations in urban soils are likely to increase over time because of contin-uous urbanization and heavy metal *** estimate the accumulation rates of heavy metals in urban soils,we collected soil samples from residential areas with different build-ing ages in the metropolitan cities of Shanghai,Shenzhen,and Beijing,*** metal concentrations in the soils varied among the cities and were primarily affected by soil parent material and the intensity of anthropogenic *** analyses revealed that the accumulation rates of Cd and Cu in the soils ranged from 0.0034 to 0.0039 mg/(kg·year)and 0.343 to 0.391 mg/(kg·year),respectively,and were similar across the three cities,while ac-cumulation rates of Zn and Pb in Shanghai were higher than those in Shenzhen and *** higher accumulation rates of Zn and Pb in Shanghai can be explained by differences in city history and industrial structures among the *** soils with high health risks posed by the heavy metals were mostly collected from old towns of Shanghai because of high Pb content in the *** recent urbanization resulted in elevated concen-trations of Cd,Cu,Zn,and Pb in the residential soils,the effect on the total health risks of residents exposed to the soils was negligible.

A series of Pt-Pd bimetallic catalysts supported on CeO_(2)-ZrO_(2)-La_(2)O_(3) mixed oxides were synthesized through the conventional impregnation ***-way catalytic performance evaluations along with detailed physio-chemical characterizations were carried out to establish possible structure-activity *** show that on the one hand,different Pt/Pd ratios can strongly affect the TWC behaviors of Pt-Pd/CZL catalysts by modulating the synergistic effect between Pt and *** the other hand,higher Pt/Pd ratio also favors better dispersion of precious *** improved precious metals(PM)dispersion can promote the metal-support interaction and increase the surface oxygen vacancies concentration,thereby raising the dynamic oxygen storage/release capacity,improving the redox ability as well as enha ncing the thermal stability of the Pt-Pd/CZL ***,the stro ng metal-support interaction can augment surface oxygen vacancy concentration,thereby benefiting low temperature CO and NO reaction via augmented NOxadsorption and nitrate conversion.

The sluggish four-electron transfer of the oxygen evolution reaction(OER)limits the performance of water ***,OER electrocatalysts based on earth-abundant elements are urgently *** doping has been an efficient approach to boost the intrinsic OER activity of the active sites by modifying the electronic ***,a simple anion substitution strategy is reported that increases the OER activity of nickel selenides via a one-step hydrothermal treatment of a metal–organic framework *** resulting S-substituted Ni_(3)Se_(4) nanoparticles display distortion of their crystal *** expected,the sulfur substitution modifies the electronic structure of Ni_(3)Se_(4) and leads to outstanding electrocatalytic *** the S-substituted Ni_(3)Se_(4) catalysts exhibit higher OER activities than the original Ni_(3)Se_(4).The optimized catalyst achieves a current density of 10 mA cm^(−2) at an overpotential of 275 mV with a Tafel slope of 64 mV dec^(−1) in 1.0 M *** addition to its electrochemical activity,the S-Ni_(3)Se_(4)-2 catalyst also exhibits good stability with only a 7.5%increase in overpotential at 50 mA cm^(−2) after 100 *** work demonstrates one strategy to modify the electronic structure of transition metal compounds by anion regulation.

Compositional dependences on microstructures and martensitic transformation behaviors in（Cu_（0.5）Zr_（0.5））_（100-x）Zn_x（x=1.5,2.5,4.5,7.0,10.0,and 14.0at.%）alloys were *** was found that CuZr martensites were present in the present *** increasing Zn content,the volume fractions of CuZr martensitic crystals and B2 CuZr phase gradually decrease and increase,*** the addition of high Zn contents（i.e.,7.0,10.0,and 14.0at.%）,the matrix proves to be *** analysis results show that the initial martensitic transformation temperature（M_s）decreases from（412±5）K to（329±5）K as the Zn content increases from 1.5at.% to14.0at.%.The values of Msof Cu-Zr-Zn shape memory alloys are inversely proportional to the number and concentrations of valence electrons（i.e.,e_v/a and c_v）,respectively,implying that the martensitic transformation in CuZrZn alloys could be of electronic nature.

The wake of a submarine is a crucial element that greatly affects its stealth and hydrodynamic *** investigate the propagation and evolution characteristics of submarine wakes in a stratified fluid,particularly under free surface conditions,a numerical method to simulate the linearly stratified environment was developed.A thermocline model based on Boussinesq assumption was introduced to match the continuously stratified *** volume of fluid(VOF)method was utilized to capture free surface waves,while a fully structured grid and the SST k-ωturbulence model were combined to solve the complex flow of *** independence study in homogenous flow near the free surface was initially ***,the hydrodynamic performance,wake evolution characteristics,free surface signatures as well as decay of velocity under different stratification levels were *** demonstrated that the numerical method employed was efficient in simulating stratified ***,it showed that density stratification had a significant impact on the hydrodynamics and wake characteristics of a submarine,especially under strong density stratification circumstances.

The atmospheric corrosion monitoring(ACM)technique has been widely employed to track the real-time corrosion behavior of metal ***,limited studies have applied ACM to the corrosion protection properties of organic *** study compared a bare epoxy coating with one containing zinc phosphate corrosion inhibitors,both applied on ACM sensors,to observe their corrosion protection properties over *** with artificial damage via scratches were exposed to immersion and alternating dry and wet environments,which allowed for monitoring galvanic corrosion currents in *** the corrosion tests,the ACM currents of the zinc phosphate/epoxy coating were considerably lower than those of the blank epoxy *** trend in ACM current variations closely matched the results obtained from regular electrochemical tests and surface *** alignment highlights the potential of the ACM technique in evaluating the corrosion protection capabilities of organic *** with the blank epoxy coating,the zinc phosphate/epoxy coating showed much-decreased ACM current values that confirmed the effective inhibition of zinc phosphate against steel corrosion beneath the damaged coating.
