Repetitive traumatic brain injury impacts adult neurogenesis in the hippocampal dentate gyrus,leading to long-term cognitive ***,the mechanism underlying this neurogenesis impairment remains *** this study,we established a male mouse model of repetitive traumatic brain injury and performed long-term evaluation of neurogenesis of the hippocampal dentate gyrus after repetitive traumatic brain *** results showed that repetitive traumatic brain injury inhibited neural stem cell proliferation and development,delayed neuronal maturation,and reduced the complexity of neuronal dendrites and *** with repetitive traumatic brain injuryalso showed deficits in spatial memory ***,following repetitive traumatic brain injury,neuroinflammation was enhanced in the neurogenesis microenvironment where C1q levels were increased,C1q binding protein levels were decreased,and canonical Wnt/β-catenin signaling was *** inhibitor of C1 reversed the long-term impairment of neurogenesis induced by repetitive traumatic brain injury and improved neurological *** findings suggest that repetitive traumatic brain injury–induced C1-related inflammation impairs long-term neurogenesis in the dentate gyrus and contributes to spatial memory retrieval dysfunction.

The (singular) orthogonal graph O(2ν + δ,q) over a field with q elements and of characteristic 2 (where ν 1, and δ = 0,1 or 2) is introduced. When ν = 1, O(2 · 1,q), O(2 · 1 + 1,q) and O(2 · 1 + 2,q) are complete graphs with 2, q + 1 and q2 + 1 vertices, respectively. When ν 2, O(2ν + δ,q) is strongly regular and its parameters are computed. O(2ν + 1,q) is isomorphic to the symplectic graph Sp(2ν,q). The chromatic number of O(2ν + δ,q) except when δ = 0 and ν is odd is computed and the group of graph automorphisms of O(2ν + δ,q) is determined.

Compressed Sensing of IR-UWB Wireless Sensor Network Data Based on Two-Dimensional Measurements

A novel Compressed sensing(CS) method based on two-dimensional measurements is proposed that can be effectively utilized in Impulse radio ultra-wideband wireless sensor networks(IR-UWB WSNs) to significantly reduce the energy consumption and sampling rate in sensor data transferring. We start by establishing the CS measurement model by taking both spatial and temporal correlations of Wireless sensor network(WSN) data into account. Since our model incorporates a new type of measurement matrix: the block quasi-Toeplitz structured matrix, we derive the Restricted isometry property(RIP)of the block quasi-Toeplitz structured matrix to ensure the performance of the two-dimensional recovery of WSNs data. We substantiate our mathematical analysis by numerical examples in the context of ideal spares vector and real WSN data, and results demonstrate that the approach achieves significantly saving of energy and sampling rate with small reconstruction error.

Label fusion for segmentation via patch based on local weighted voting

Label fusion is a powerful image segmentation strategy that is becoming increasingly popular in medical imaging. However, satisfying the requirements of higher accuracy and less running time is always a great challenge. In this paper we propose a novel patch-based segmentation method combining a local weighted voting strategy with Bayesian inference. Multiple atlases are registered to a target image by an advanced normalization tools(ANTs) algorithm. To obtain a segmentation of the target, labels of the atlas images are propagated to the target image. We first adopt intensity prior and label prior as two key metrics when implementing the local weighted voting scheme, and then compute the two priors at the patch level. Further, we analyze the label fusion procedure concerning the image background and take the image background as an isolated label when estimating the label prior. Finally, by taking the Dice score as a criterion to quantitatively assess the accuracy of segmentations, we compare the results with those of other methods, including joint fusion, majority voting, local weighted voting, majority voting based on patch, and the widely used Free Surfer whole-brain segmentation tool. It can be clearly seen that the proposed algorithm provides better results than the other methods. During the experiments, we make explorations about the influence of different parameters(including patch size, patch area, and the number of training subjects) on segmentation accuracy.

Formation of Well-Mixed Warm Water Column in Central Bohai Sea During Summer: Role of High-Frequency Atmospheric Forcing

The influence of high-frequency atmospheric forcing on the formation of a well-mixed summer warm water column in the central Bohai Sea is investigated comparing model simulations driven by daily surface forcing and those using monthly forcing data. In the absence of high-frequency atmospheric forcing, numerical simulations have repeatedly failed to reproduce this vertically uniform column of warm water measured over the past 35 years. However, high-frequency surface forcing is found to strongly influence the structure and distribution of the well-mixed warm water column, and simulations are in good agreement with observations. Results show that high frequency forcing enhances vertical mixing over the central bank, intensifies downward heat transport, and homogenizes the water column to form the Bohai central warm column. Evidence presented shows that high frequency forcing plays a dominant role in the formation of the well-mixed warm water column in summer, even without the effects of tidal and surface wave mixing. The present study thus provides a practical and rational way of further improving the performance of oceanic simulations in the Bohai Sea and can be used to adjust parameterization schemes of ocean models.

Deep learning-based LPI radar signals analysis and identification using a Nyquist Folding Receiver architecture

Nyquist Folding Receiver(NYFR)is a perceptron structure that realizes a low probability of intercept(LPI)signal analog to *** at the problem of LPI radar signal receiving,the time domain,frequency domain,and time-frequency domain problems of signals intercepted by NYFR structure are *** with the time-frequency analysis(TFA)method,a radar recognition scheme based on deep learning(DL)is introduced,which can reliably classify common LPI radar ***,the structure of NYFR and its characteristics in the time domain,frequency domain,and time and frequency domain are ***,the received signal is then converted into a time-frequency image(TFI).Finally,four kinds of DL algorithms are used to classify LPI radar *** results demonstrate the correctness of the NYFR structure,and the effectiveness of the proposed recognition method is verified by comparison experiments.

Compressed Sensing of Wireless Sensor Networks Data with Missed Measurements

In Wireless sensor networks(WSNs),missed measurements may be caused by the sensor malfunction and interruption of communication between sensor nodes. The feasibility of exact recovery of WSNs data with missed measurements is analyzed in the framework of compressed sensing. A new incomplete measurement model was developed and the data reconstruction algorithm was proposed. The required number of the missing measurements and the sparsity condition of network data are found for exact compressed sensing of WSNs *** derivation shows that a WSNs data of length N with no more than M/(log(N/M) + 1) nonzero coefficients can be exactly recovered with M Gaussian measurements,provided that fraction of the missed measurements is less than a quarter of the Restricted isometry property(RIP)constant squared. Simulation results validate the theoretical results.
