Cloud computing plays an important role in today’s Internet environment,which meets the requirements of scalability,security and reliability by using virtualization *** technology is one of the two mainstream virtualization *** lightweight,high deployment efficiency make container technology widely used in large-scale cloud *** container technology has created huge benefits for cloud service providers and tenants,it cannot meet the requirements of security monitoring and management from a tenant ***,tenants can only run their security monitors in the target container,but it is not secure because the attacker is able to detect and compromise the security *** this paper,a secure external monitoring approach is proposed to monitor target containers in another management *** management container is transparent for target containers,but it can obtain the executing information of target containers,providing a secure monitoring *** monitors running inside management containers are secure for the cloud host,since the management containers are not *** implement the transparent external management containers by performing the one-way isolation of processes and *** process one-way isolation,we leverage Linux namespace technology to let management container become the parent of target *** mounting the file system of target container to that of the management container,file system one-way isolation is *** with the existing host-based monitoring approach,our approach is more secure and suitable in the cloud environment.

An interview with Professor Danny Pfeffermann is conducted during the conference of SmallArea Estimation 2018 (SAE 2018), an international conference held between June 16 and 18at East China Normal University, Shanghai, China. SAE 2018 is also a celebration of ProfessorPfeffermann’s 75th birthday. Our interview consists of eight questions, which focus on Professor Pfeffermann’s personal education background, research motivations, contributions to thedevelopment of statistics, opinions on big data and data science, and his future plan. Professor Pfeffemann used interesting examples to express his opinions on the future development ofstatistics.

The adsorption and decomposition of NO on the stoichiometric rutile-supported Cu surfaces have been studied by means of density functional calculations with an embedded cluster model. The calculation results indicate that NO is favorably adsorbed as O-down and could easily attach another NO molecule to form N2O intermediate or directly be dissociated into N2 and O2. On the basis of the calculated energetics, possible mechanism of NO decomposition reaction has been proposed.

To improve the nitriding resistance of Zr_(2)Fe alloy,the Ce-added Zr_(2)(Fe_(1-x)Ni_(x))(x=0,0.15,0.3,0.5)alloys were prepared by magnetic levitation melting *** effects of Ni substitution for Fe on the phase structure,hydrogen and nitrogen absorption properties of the alloys were investigated by X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy and p-c isotherm *** experimental results show that Ni substitution can effectively inhibit the formation of both α-Zr and ZrFe_(2) phases and promote the formation of C16 structure Zr_(2)(Fe,Ni)phase,causing Ni-substituted alloys to exhibit low nitrogen absorption rate and *** 623 K under 0.5 MPa nitrogen pressure,the nitrogen absorption capacity of Ce-added Zr_(2)(Fe_(0.5)Ni_(0.5))alloy reaches to 0.8 mL/g,much lower than that of Zr_(2)Fe alloy(1.5 mL/g).Ni substitution decreases the crystal cell volume of the C_(16)Zr_(2)(Fe,Ni)phase,resulting in an increase in the hydrogen absorption equilibrium *** 623 K under 0.05 MPa hydrogen pressure,the hydrogen absorption capacity decreases from 1.46 wt%of Zr_(2)Fe alloy to 1.41 wt%of Ce-added Zr_(2)(Fe_(0.5)Ni_(0.5))alloy.
