The Al-5Cu alloys were prepared by different treatment methods,including adding a refiner Al-5Ti-1B,exerting a rotating magnetic field(RMF),and compound treatment of both refiner and *** effects of treatment methods on the microstructure,properties,and solid solubility of the Al-5Cu alloy were *** optimal magnetic field parameters and addition amount of refiner were confirmed by *** show that either RMF or adding refiner Al-5Ti-1B alone can refine the grain size,and the refining effect can be further improved by a compound refining treatment with optimized magnetic field parameters(120 A current and 8 Hz frequency) and 1.0wt.% Al-5Ti-1B refiner(RMF*+Al-5Ti-1B*).The average grain size is decreased to 68.1 μm,which is 60.8%,21.1%,and 83.5% lower than that of the alloy treated by the optimized rotating magnetic field,the Al-5Ti-1B refiner,and the alloy without any treatment,*** tensile strength and elongation of the alloy reach 232.5 MPa and 18.6%,respectively,which are obviously higher than those of the alloys treated by rotating magnetic field,Al-5Ti-1B refiner,and the alloy without any treatment,***,the solid solubility of the alloy is also obviously improved compared to the alloys treated by other methods.

We have precisely derived a ＂rigorous instantaneous formulation＂ for transitions between two bound states when the bound states are well-described by instantaneous Bethe-Salpeter （BS） equation （i.e. the kernel of the equation is instantaneous ＂occasionally＂）. The obtained rigorous instantaneous formulation, in fact, is expressed as an operator sandwiched by two ＂reduced BS wave functions＂ properly, while the reduced BS wave functions appearing in the formulation are the rigorous solutions of the instantaneous BS equation, and they may relate to Schroedinger wave functions straightforwardly. We also show that the rigorous instantaneous formulation is gauge-invariant with respect to the Uem（1） transformation precisely, if the concerned transitions are radiative. Some applications of the formulation are outlined.

This work studied the microstructure,mechanical properties and damping properties of Mg_(95.34)Ni_(2)Y_(2.66) and Mg_(95.34)Zn_(1)Ni_(1)Y_(2.66)alloys *** difference in the evolution of the long-period stacked ordered(LPSO)phase in the two alloys during heat treatment was the *** morphology of the as-cast Mg_(95.34)Ni_(2)Y_(2.66)presented a disordered *** heat treatment at 773 K for 2 hours,the eutectic phase was integrated into the matrix,and the LPSO phase maintained the 18R *** Zn partially replaced Ni,the crystal grains became rounded in the cast alloy,and lamellar LPSO phases and more solid solution atoms were contained in the matrix after heat treatment of the Mg_(95.34)Zn_(1)Ni_(1)Y_(2.66)*** Zn and the heat treatment had a significant effect on *** dislocation internal friction peaks and grain boundary internal friction peaks were found after temperature-dependent damping of the Mg_(95.34)Ni_(2)Y_(2.66)and Mg_(95.34)Zn_(1)Ni_(1)Y_(2.66)*** heat treatment,the dislocation peak was significantly increased,especially in the alloy Mg_(95.34)Ni_(2)Y_(2).*** annealed Mg_(95.34)Ni_(2)Y_(2.66)alloy with a rod-shaped LPSO phase exhibited a good damping performance of 0.14 atε=10^(−3),which was due to the difference between the second phase and solid solution atom *** factors also affected the dynamic modulus of the *** results of this study will help in further development of high-damping magnesium alloys.

The outbreak of infectious diseases often arouses public health emergencies of international *** the past several decades,we have witnessed the outbreaks of various epidemics and pandemics,such as AIDS,Ebola,SARS,dengue,Zika,bird flu,and particularly the recent coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)caused by *** have been generally regarded as the first defense for the prevention and control of infectious *** the representative course of these diseases,bioassays against certain biomarkers are suitable for distinct stages of infection in diverse scenarios(Figure 1).However,the deployed bioassays still possess inherent ***,we briefly summarize the pros and cons of state-of-the-art bioassays for infectious diseases caused by pathogenic viruses and provide an outlook on the advances in the context of public health emergencies.

Structurally reconfigurable RNA structures enable dynamic transitions of the functional states in response to diverse molecular stimuli, which are fundamental in genetic and epigenetic regulations. Inspired by nature, rationally designed RNA structures with responsively reconfigurable motifs have been developed to serve as switchable components for building engineered nanomachines, which hold promise in synthetic biological applications. In this review, we summarize recent progress in the design, synthesis, and integration of engineered reconfigurable RNA structures for nanomachines. We highlight recent examples of their targeted applications such as biocomputing and smart *** also discuss their advantages, challenges as well as possible solutions. We further provide an outlook of their potential in future synthetic biology.

Salvianolic acids improve liver lipid metabolism in ovariectomized rats via blocking STAT-3/SREBP1 signaling

Postmenopausal women, who have reduced circulating estrogen levels, are more prone to develop obesity and related metabolic diseases than premenopausal women. The absence of safe and effective treatments for postmenopausal obesity has changed the focus to natural products as alternative remedies. Total salvianolic acids(TSA) are the major water-soluble ingredients of Danshen. Salvianolic acid(SA) is the major constituent of the TSA. Salvianolic acids, including TSA and SA, are widely used in traditional Chinese medicine. In the present study, ovariectomized rats and LO2 cells were used to study the effects of salvianolic acids on body weight gain and hepatic steatosis. Salvianolic acids reduced ovariectomy(OVX)-induced body weight gain, attenuated the expressions of hepatic lipogenic genes, such as sterol regulatory element binding protein(SREBP)1, fatty acid synthase(FAS), and stearoyl-CoA desaturase(SCD)1, and decreased the liver triglyceride(TG) and total cholesterol(TC). For the molecular mechanisms, OVX and high glucose-induced phosphorylation of signal transducer and activator of transcription(STAT)-3 was inhibited by salvianolic acids treatment. In LO2 cells, inhibition of STAT-3 by siRNA attenuated the increased expression of SREBP1 and TG induced by high glucose. Salvianolic acids reduced the upregulation of SREBP1 and TG induced by high glucose in LO2 cells. In conclusion, these findings illustrated that salvianolic acids markedly alleviated the lipid metabolism disorders and protected against the postmenopausal obesity. The underlying mechanism was probably associated with the regulation of STAT-3 signaling.

Post-extraction bleeding and alveolar bone resorption are the two frequently encountered complications after tooth extraction that result in poor healing and rehabilitation *** present study covalently bonded polyphosphate onto a collagen scaffold(P-CS)by *** P-CS demonstrated improved hemostatic property in a healthy rat model and an anticoagulant-treated rat *** improvement is attributed to the increase in hydrophilicity,increased thrombin generation,platelet activation and stimulation of the intrinsic coagulation *** addition,the P-CS promoted the in-situ bone regeneration and alveolar ridge preservation in a rat alveolar bone defect *** promotion is attributed to enhanced osteogenic differentiation of bone marrow stromal *** was improved by both polyphosphate and blood *** together,P-CS possesses favorable hemostasis and alveolar ridge preservation *** may be used as an effective treatment option for post-extraction bleeding and alveolar bone *** of significance:Collagen scaffold is commonly used for the treatment of post-extraction bleeding and alveolar bone loss after tooth ***,its application is hampered by insufficient hemostatic and osteoinductive *** polyphosphate with collagen produces a modified collagen scaffold that possesses improved hemostatic performance and augmented bone regeneration potential.
