Over the past few y.ars,quantum computation based on superconducting circuits has achieved remarkable progress.A milestone occurred in 2019 when Google released Sy.amore,a processor with 54 qubits,and claimed quantum supremacy.by.performing in just 100 s a specific computation which would take a classical supercomputer,as stated by.Google’s team,10000 y.ars to complete.[1]In 2021,a strong quantum advantage was demonstrated by.Pan and his colleagues from the University.of Science and Technology.of China,using a quantum processor named Zuchongzhi,which has 66 functional qubits.[2]This y.ar,the record of the number of quantum qubits has been lifted to 127 qubits.[3]Indeed,the number of qubits is limited to a few hundreds due to the finite space of dilution refrigerators,where the superconducting qubits must be placed to be isolated from thermal ***,this number is still several orders of magnitude away.from the requirement of quantum error correction,which is essential for general-purpose quantum computers.[4–8].

Lead-free K_(x)Na_(1-x)NbO_(3)(KNN)perovskites have garnered increasing attention due to their exceptional ferropiezoelectric properties,which are effectively.tuned via poly.orphic structures and domain ***,atomic insights into the underly.ng nanomechanisms governing the ferroelectricity.of KNNs amidst vary.ng factors such as composition,phase,and domain are still ***,we perform molecular dy.amics simulations of phase transitions and domain dy.amics for KNNs with various K/Na ratios(x=0.25∼1.0)by.using ab-initio accuracy.deep learning potential(DP).As a demonstration of its transferability.the newly.developed DP model shows quantum accuracy.in terms of the equation of states,elastic constants,and phonon dispersion relations for various KNbO_(3)and K_(0.5)Na_(0.5)NbO_(3).Furthermore,intricate temperature-dependent phase transitions and domain formation of KNNs are extensively.and quantitatively.*** indicate that for KNNs with compositions x ranging from 0.25 to 1.0,the paraelectric-to-ferroelectric phase transition of KNNs is driven primarily.by.the order-disorder effect,while the displacive effect is dominant in the subsequent ferroelectric phase ***,flux-closure or herringbone-like nanodomain patterns arranged with 90°domain walls formed close to the experimental *** analy.es reveal that favorable 90°domain wall formation becomes more challenging with increasing Na content due to distinct oxy.en octahedron distortion arising from the different ionic radii of K/Na *** is envisioned that the combination of unified DP and atomistic simulations will help offer a robust solution for more accurate and efficient in silico explorations of complex structural,thermody.amic,and ferroelectric properties for relevant energy.storage and conversion materials.

High-timing-precision detection of single X-ray.photons by.superconducting nanowires

Precisely.acquiring the timing information of individual X-ray.photons is important in both fundamental research and practical applications. The timing precision of commonly.used X-ray.single-photon detectors remains in the range of one hundred picoseconds to microseconds. In this work, we report on high-timing-precision detection of single X-ray.photons through the fast transition to the normal state from the superconductive state of superconducting nanowires. We successfully.demonstrate a free-running X-ray.single-photon detector with a timing resolution of 20.1 ps made of 100-nm-thick niobium nitride film with an active area of 50 μm by.50 μm. By.using a repeated differential timing measurement on two adjacent X-ray.single-photon detectors, we demonstrate a precision of 0.87 ps in the arrival-time difference of X-ray.photon measurements. Therefore, our work significantly.enhances the timing precision in X-ray.photon counting, opening a new niche for ultrafast X-ray.photonics and many.associated applications.

Ebola virus(EBOV)and Marburg virus(MARV),members of the Filoviridae family.are highly.pathogenic and can cause hemorrhagic fevers,significantly.impacting human *** are considered reservoirs of these viruses because related filoviruses have been discovered in ***,due to the requirement for maximum containment laboratories when study.ng infectious viruses,the characterization of bat filoviruses often relies on pseudoviruses and minigenome *** this study.we used RACE technology.to sequence the 30-leader and 50-trailer of Mengla virus(MLAV)and constructed a *** to MARV,the transcription activities of the MLAV minigenome are independent of *** further assessed the effects of poly.orphisms at the 50 end on MLAV minigenome activity.and identified certain mutations that decrease minigenome reporter efficiency.probably.due to alterations in the RNA secondary.*** reporter activity.upon recombination of the 30-leaders and 50-trailers of MLAV,MARV,and EBOV with those of the homologous or heterologous minigenomes was compared and it was found that the poly.erase complex and leader and trailer sequences exhibit intrinsic ***,we investigated whether the poly.erase complex proteins from EBOV and MARV support MLAV minigenome RNA sy.thesis and found that the homologous sy.tem is more efficient than the heterologous *** efficiently.inhibited MLAV as well as EBOV *** summary.this study.provides new information on bat filoviruses and the minigenome will be a useful tool for high-throughput antiviral drug screening.

Genomic profiling of colorectal cancer in large-scale Chinese patients:amplification and somatic mutations in ERBB2

Objectives:Human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2)-targeted therapies have demonstrated potential benefits for metastatic colorectal cancer(mCRC)patients with HER2 amplification,but are not satisfactory.in cases of HER2 mutant ***:Consequently.further elucidation of amplifications and somatic mutations in ery.hroblastic oncogene B-2(ERBB2)is *** genomic profiling was conducted on 2454 Chinese CRC cases to evaluate genomic alterations in 733 cancer-related genes,tumor mutational burden,microsatellite instability.and programmed death ligand 1(PD-L1)***:Among 2454 CRC patients,85 cases(3.46%)exhibited ERBB2 amplification,and 55 cases(2.24%)carried ERBB2 mutation.p.R678Q(28%),p.V8421(24%),and p.S310F/y.12%)were the most prevalent of the 16 detected mutation *** comparison to the ERBB2 altered(alt)group,KRAS/BRAF mutations were more prevalent in ERBB2 wild-ty.e(wt)samples(ERBB2wt ***2alt,KRAS:50.9%vs.25.6%,py.high(MSI-H),while no cases with HER2 amplification display.d *** genes varied between ERBB2 copy.number variation(CNV)and ERBB2 single nucleotide variant(SNV);TP53 alterations tended to co-occur with ERBB2 amplification(92.3%)as opposed to ERBB2 mutation(58.3%).KRAS and PIK3CA alterations were more prevalent in ERBB2 SNV cases(KRAS/PIK3CA:45.8%/31.2%)compared to ERBB2 amplification cases(KRAS/PIK3CA:14.1%/7.7%).Conclusion:Our study.delineates the landscape of HER2 alterations in a large-scale cohort of CRC patients from *** findings enhance our understanding of the molecular features of Chinese CRC patients and offer valuable implications for further investigation.
