Recently,Cooperative Spectrum Sensing(CSS)for Cognitive Radio Networks(CRN)plays a significant role in efficient 5G wireless *** sensing is a significant technology in CRN to identify underutilized *** CSS technique is highly applicable due to its fast and efficient performance.5G wireless communication is widely employed for the continuous development of efficient and accurate Internet of Things(IoT)networks.5G wireless communication will potentially lead the way for next generation IoT *** has established significant consideration as a feasible resource to improve identification performance by developing spatial diversity in receiving signal strength in *** this paper,an optimal CSS for CRN is performed using Offset Quadrature Amplitude Modulation Universal Filtered Multi-Carrier Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access(OQAM/UFMC/NOMA)*** of spectrum and bandwidth utilization is a key challenge in CRN for IoT 5G wireless *** optimal solution for CRN in IoT-based 5G communication should be able to provide optimal bandwidth and CSS,low latency,Signal Noise Ratio(SNR)improvement,maximum capacity,offset synchronization,and Peak Average Power Ratio(PAPR)*** Energy Efficient All-Pass Filter(EEAPF)algorithm is used to eliminate *** deployment approach improves Quality of Service(QoS)in terms of system reliability,throughput,and energy *** in-depth experimental results show that the proposed methodology provides an optimal solution when directly compares against current existing methodologies.

Mnemonics for diagnostic criteria of DSM-5 mental disorders:a scoping review

A multitude of psychiatric disorders have been described in classification systems like the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders Fifth Edition(DSM-5).Diagnosing a specific mental disorder requires memorising specific symptom criteria,and their improper recall may result in *** may use mnemonics,considering them as narratives or anecdotes of the diagnostic criteria.A scoping review of previously described mnemonics for DSM diagnostic criteria was carried *** electronic search was done in PubMed,Google Scholar,Google Books and Google Search engine using a prespecified search *** lists of relevant articles and chapters were hand searched to identify original and additional *** retrieved from websites were manually searched in Google to identify published journal articles or chapters for the same ***,some mnemonics were developed,modified or added based on the author's *** comprehensive search identified 93 records(44 journal articles,45 books and 4 websites)eligible for the *** of the mnemonics retrieved were related in some way to the disorder *** were listed under the heading of their respective disorders and indexed in the same order as in *** mnemonics that reflect a facet of their respective disorders were elaborated in detail.

Mass Spectrometry-based Quantitative Proteomic Profiling of Human Pancreatic and Hepatic Stellate Cell Lines

The functions of the liver and the pancreas differ; however, chronic inflammation in both organs is associated with fibrosis. Evidence suggests that fibrosis in both organs is partially regu- lated by organ-specific stellate cells. We explore the proteome of human hepatic stellate cells （hHSC） and human pancreatic stellate cells （hPaSC） using mass spectrometry （MS）-based quanti- tative proteomics to investigate pathophysiologic mechanisms. Proteins were isolated from whole cell lysates of immortalized hHSC and hPaSC. These proteins were tryptically digested, labeled with tandem mass tags （TMT）, fractionated by OFFGEL, and subjected to MS. Proteins significantly different in abundance （P 〈 0.05） were classified via gene ontology （GO） analysis. We identified 1223 proteins and among them, 1222 proteins were quantifiable. Statistical analysis determined that 177 proteins were of higher abundance in hHSC, while 157 were of higher abundance in hPaSC. GO classification revealed that proteins of relatively higher abundance in hHSC were associated with protein production, while those of relatively higher abundance in hPaSC were involved in cell structure. Future studies using the methodologies established herein, but with further upstream fractionation and/or use of enhanced MS instrumentation will allow greater proteome coverage, achieving a comprehensive proteomic analysis of hHSC and hPaSC.

Protecting Water Quality and Public Health Using a Smart Grid

After the attacks on September 11, 2001 and the follow-up risk assessments by utilities across the United States, securing the water distribution system against malevolent attack became a strategic goal for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Following 3 years of development work on a Contamination Warning System (CWS) at the Greater Cincinnati Water Works, four major cities across the United States were selected to enhance the CWS development conducted by the USEPA. One of the major efforts undertaken was to develop a process to seamlessly process “Big Data” sets in real time from different sources (online water quality monitoring, consumer complaints, enhanced security, public health surveillance, and sampling and analysis) and graphically display actionable information for operators to evaluate and respond to appropriately. The most significant finding that arose from the development and implementation of the “dashboard” were the dual benefits observed by all four utilities: the ability to enhance their operations and improve the regulatory compliance of their water distribution systems. Challenge: While most of the utilities had systems in place for SCADA, Work Order Management, Laboratory Management, 311 Call Center Management, Hydraulic Models, Public Health Monitoring, and GIS, these systems were not integrated, resulting in duplicate data entry, which made it difficult to trace back to a “single source of truth.” Each one of these data sources can produce a wealth of raw data. For most utilities, very little of this data is being translated into actionable information as utilities cannot overwhelm their staffs with manually processing the mountains of data generated. Instead, utilities prefer to provide their staffs with actionable information that is easily understood and provides the basis for rapid decision-making. Endosonography in the diagnosis and management of pancreatic cysts

Rapid advances in radiologic technology and increased cross-sectional imaging have led to a sharp rise in incidental discoveries of pancreatic cystic lesions. These cystic lesions include non-neoplastic cysts with no risk of malignancy, neoplastic non-mucinous serous cystadenomas with little or no risk of malignancy, as well as neoplastic mucinous cysts and solid pseudopapillary neoplasms both with varying riskof malignancy. Accurate diagnosis is imperative as management is guided by symptoms and risk of malignancy. Endoscopic ultrasound(EUS) allows high resolution evaluation of cyst morphology and precise guidance for fine needle aspiration(FNA) of cyst fluid for cytological, chemical and molecular analysis. Initially, clinical evaluation and radiologic imaging, preferably with magnetic resonance imaging of the pancreas and magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography, are performed. In asymptomatic patients where diagnosis is unclear and malignant risk is indeterminate, EUSFNA should be used to confirm the presence or absence of high-risk features, differentiate mucinous from non-mucinous lesions, and diagnose malignancy. After analyzing the cyst fluid for viscosity, cyst fluid carcinoembryonic antigen, amylase, and cyst wall cytology should be obtained. DNA analysis may add useful information in diagnosing mucinous cysts when the previous studies are indeterminate. New molecular biomarkers are being investigated to improve diagnostic capabilities and management decisions in these challenging cystic lesions. Current guidelines recommend surgical pancreatic resection as the standard of care for symptomatic cysts and those with high-risk features associated with malignancy. EUSguided cyst ablation is a promising minimally invasive, relatively low-risk alternative to both surgery and surveillance.
