Plant root-nodule symbiosis(RNS)with mutualistic nitrogen-fixing bacteria is restricted to a single clade of angiosperms,the Nitrogen-fixing Nodulation Clade(NfNC),and is best understood in the legume *** species share many commonalities,explained either by divergence from a common ancestor over 100 million years ago or by convergence following independent origins over that same time ***,comparative analyses of diverse nodulation syndromes can provide insights into constraints on nodulation—what must be acquired or cannot be lost for a functional symbiosis—and the latitude for Plant Communications Genomic landscape of nodulation variation in the ***,much remains to be learned about nodulation,especially outside of ***,we employed a large-scale phylogenomic analysis across 88 species,complemented by 151 RNA-seq libraries,to elucidate the evolution of *** phylogenomic analyses further emphasize the uniqueness of the transcription factor NIN as a master regulator of nodulation and identify key muta-tions that affect its function across the *** transcriptomic assessment revealed nodule-specific upregulated genes across diverse nodulating plants,while also identifying nodule-specific and nitrogen-response *** 70%of symbiosis-related genes are highly conserved in the four representative species,whereas defense-related and host-range restriction genes tend to be lineage *** study also identified over 900000 conserved non-coding elements(CNEs),over 300000 of which are unique to sampled NfNC ***-specific CNEs are enriched with the active H3K9ac mark and are correlated with accessible chromatin regions,thus representing a pool of candidate regula-tory elements for genes involved in ***,our results provide novel insights into the evolution of nodulation and lay a foundation for engineering of RNS traits in agriculturally important crops.

Directed x-rays produced in the interaction of sub-picosecond laser pulses of moderate relativistic intensity with plasma of near-critical density are investigated. Synchrotron-like (betatron) radiation occurs in the process of direct laser acceleration (DLA) of electrons in a relativisticlaser channel when the electrons undergo transverse betatron oscillations in self-generated quasi-static electric and magnetic fields. In anexperiment at the PHELIX laser system, high-current directed beams of DLA electrons with a mean energy ten times higher than the ponderomotive potential and maximum energy up to 100 meV were measured at 10^(19) W/cm^(2)laser intensity. The spectrum of directed x-raysin the range of 5–60 keV was evaluated using two sets of Ross filters placed at 0°and 10°to the laser pulse propagation axis. The differential x-ray absorption method allowed for absolute measurements of the angular-dependent photon fluence. We report 10^(13) photons/sr withenergies >5 keV measured at 0°to the laser axis and a brilliance of 10^(21) photons s^(−1) mm^(−2) mrad−2(0.1%BW)−1. The angular distributionof the emission has an fWHm of 14°–16°. Thanks to the ultra-high photon fluence, point-like radiation source, and ultra-short emissiontime, DLA-based keV backlighters are promising for various applications in high-energy-density research with kilojoule petawatt-class laserfacilities.

Spatial analysis of vegetation cover response to climate trends in Khakassia(South Siberia)

An analysis of the changes in vegetation cover on the territory of the Republic of Khakassia in 2000–2021 due to climatic trends was carried out based on the mODIS *** changes in vegetation cover were estimated based on trends in Normalized Difference Vegetation Index(NDVI)and Enhanced Vegetation Index(EVI).In general,in the 21st century,an increase in the biomass of vegetation cover is *** trends were observed in 16%–22%of the territory,and negative only in 1%–3%.for about 20%of the analyzed territory,a significant influence of climate on the changes in vegetation cover was *** most pronounced negative impact on vegetation cover was caused by summer air and soil temperatures,spring temperature,and summer winds,and the positive impact was caused by summer precipitation and soil *** response of the vegetation cover to climate was non-uniform concerning the ***,a significant correlation with the amount of precipitation was observed for~20%–35%of vegetation growing below 600 m above sea level and for less than 5%above this *** negative effect of summer temperatures on plants prevailed mainly at an elevation below~1400 m above sea *** climate change is likely to lead to significant degradation of vegetation in the steppe and foreststeppe in Khakassia in the coming decades.

A hard/soft SmCo5/ fe nanocomposite magnetic bilayer system is fabricated on x-ray transparent 100-200 nm thin SiaN4 films by magnetron sputtering. The microscopic magnetic domain pattern and its behaviours during magnetization reversal in the hard and the soft magnetic phases are studied separately by element specific magnetic soft x-ray microscopy at a spatial resolution of better than 25 Nm. We observe that the domain patterns for the soft and hard phases show coherent behaviours in varying magnetic fields. We derive local m（H） curves from the images of fe and SmCo5 separately and find the switches for hard and soft phases to be the same.

Laser surface texturing is a versatile approach for manufacturing implants with suitable surfaces for *** work explores the use of laser to fabricate NiTi textured implants,testing two dif-ferent groove-based *** performance was evaluated in vivo through implantation in Sprague Dawley rats’femur,being then analyzed after 4 and 12 weeks of ***-out experiments and histological characterization allowed to assess bone-implant bond and osseointegration and to compare the laser textured solutions with non-textured *** showed that,at 4 weeks of implantation,mainly immature woven bone was present whilst at 12 weeks a more mature bone had ***-sidering the largest implantation time(12 weeks),results showed extraction forces considerably higher for textured implants(G2 and G3).moreover,when comparing G2 and G3,it was found that G2(having the highest textured surface area)displayed the maximum extraction force among all groups,with an increase of 212%when compared to non-textured implants(G1).These results prove that the design and manufacturing technology are effective to promote an im-proved bone-implant bond,aiming the development of orthopedic implants.

Aim： To investigate the role of small intestinal carcinoid tumor-derived fibrotic mediators, TGfβ1 and CTGf, in the mediation of fibrosis via activation of an ＂intestinal＂ stellate cell. mETHODS： GI carcinoid tumors were collected for Q RT-PCR analysis of CTGf and TGfβ1. markers of stellate cell desmoplasia were identified in peritoneal fibrosis by immunohistochemistry and stellate cells cultured from fresh resected fibrotic tissue. CTGf and TGfβ1 were evaluated using quantitative tissue array profiling （AQUA analysis） in a GI carcinoid tissue microarray （TmA） with immunostaining and correlated with clinical and histologically documented fibrosis. Serum CTGf was analyzed using a sandwich ELISA assay. RESULTS： message levels of both CTGf and TGfβ1 in SI carcinoid tumors were significantly increased （〉 2-fold, P 〈 0.05） versus normal mucosa and gastric （non-fibrotic） carcinoids. Activated stellate cells and markers of stellate cell-mediated fibrosis （vimentin, desmin） were identified in histological fibrosis. An intestinal stellate cell was immunocytochemically and biochemically characterized and its TGfβ1 （10-7m） initiated CTGf transcription response （〉 3-fold, P 〈 0.05） demonstrated. In SI carcinoid tumor patients with documented fibrosis, TmA analysis demonstrated higher CTGf immunostaining （AQUA Score： 92 ± 8, P 〈0.05）, as well as elevated TGfβ1 （90.6 ± 4.4, P 〈 0.05）. Plasma CTGf （normal 12.5 ± 2.6 ng/mL） was increased in SI carcinoid tumor patients （31 ± 10 ng/mL, P 〈 0.05） compared to non-fibrotic GI carcinoids （〈 15 ng/mL） CONCLUSION： SI carcinoid tumor fibrosis is a CTGf/ TGfβl-mediated stellate cell-driven fibrotic response. The delineation of the biology of fibrosis will facilitate diagnosis and enable development of agents to obviate its local and systemic complications.

Relationship between Obsessive-Compulsive Symptoms and Anxiety Levels during the COVID-19 Pandemic in Healthcare Professionals ***-Healthcare Professionals

The present study investigated the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on anxiety levels,contamination and responsibility/control obsessions and associated OC behaviors in healthcare versus non-healthcare *** study also aimed to examine the relationship between anxiety levels and obsessive-compulsive(OC)symptom levels,gender,age,educational level,and personal and family history of chronic *** 664 participants included 395(59.5%)men and 269(40.5%)women and comprised 180(27.1%)healthcare professionals and 484(72.9%)non-healthcare *** survey included three data collection tools:(i)Sociodemographic data form,(ii)Beck Anxiety Inventory(BAI),and(iii)the Dimensional Obsessive-Compulsive Scale Abriged(DOCS-A)pre-and post-pandemic *** BAI scores established a moderate positive correlation with post-pandemic DOCS-A total scores and a weak positive correlation with pre-pandemic DOCS-A total scores(pfor both).Pre-and post-pandemic DOCS-A total and subdimension scores were significantly higher in women than in men(pf chronic diseases had higher BAI and DOCS-A scores compared to participants with no such history(pficant increase in OC symptoms during the pandemic period compared to the pre-pandemic period and a moderate correlation between the anxiety levels and OC symptom *** was also revealed that female gender and personal or family history of chronic diseases posed a higher risk for the increase in anxiety and OC symptoms and healthcare professionals had a higher risk of developing anxiety symptoms compared to non-healthcare professionals.

Endometrial response to conceptus-derived estrogen and interleukin-1β at the time of implantation in pigs

The establishment of pregnancy is a complex process that requires a well-coordinated interaction between the implanting conceptus and the maternal uterus. In pigs, the conceptus undergoes dramatic morphological and functional changes at the time of implantation and introduces various factors, including estrogens and cytokines,interleukin-1β2(IL1 B2), interferon-γ(IfNG), and IfN-δ(IfND), into the uterine lumen. In response to ovarian steroid hormones and conceptus-derived factors, the uterine endometrium becomes receptive to the implanting conceptus by changing its expression of cell adhesion molecules, secretory activity, and immune response. Conceptus-derived estrogens act as a signal for maternal recognition of pregnancy by changing the direction of prostaglandin(PG) f2αfrom the uterine vasculature to the uterine lumen. Estrogens also induce the expression of many endometrial genes,including genes related to growth factors, the synthesis and transport of PGs, and immunity. IL1 B2, a pro-inflammatory cytokine, is produced by the elongating conceptus. The direct effect of IL1 B2 on endometrial function is not fully understood. IL1 B activates the expression of endometrial genes, including the genes involved in IL1 B signaling and PG synthesis and transport. In addition, estrogen or IL1 B stimulates endometrial expression of IfN signaling molecules,suggesting that estrogen and IL1 B act cooperatively in priming the endometrial function of conceptus-produced IfNG and IfND that, in turn, modulate endometrial immune response during early pregnancy. This review addresses information about maternal-conceptus interactions with respect to endometrial gene expression in response to conceptus-derived factors, focusing on the roles of estrogen and IL1 B during early pregnancy in pigs.

A facile one-step approach to hierarchically assembled core-shell-like mnO2@mnO2 nanoarchitectures on carbon fibers： An efficient and flexible electrode material to enhance energy storage

Hierarchical core-shell-like mnO2 nanostructures （NSs） were used to anchor mnO2 hexagonal nanoplate arrays （HNPAs） on carbon cloth （CC） fibers. The NSs were prepared by a novel one-step electrochemical deposition method. Under an external cathodic voltage of -2.0 V for 30 min, hierarchical core-shell-like mnO2-NS-decorated mnO2 HNPAs （mnO2 NSs@mnO2 HNPAs） were uniformly grown on CC with reliable adhesion. The phase purity and morphological properties of the samples were characterized by various physicochemical techniques. At a constant external cathodic voltage, growth of mnO2 NSs@mnO2 HNPAs on CC was carried for different time periods. When utilized as a flexible, robust, and binder-free electrode for pseudocapacitors, the hierarchical core-shell-like mnO2 NSs@mnO2 HNPAs on CC showed clearly enhanced electrochemical properties in 1 m Na2SO4 electrolyte solution. The results indicate that the mnO2 NSs@mnO2 HNPAs on CC have a maximum specific capacitance of 244.54 f/g at a current density of 0.5 A/g with excellent cycling stability compared to that of bare mnO2 HNPAs on CC （112.1 f/g at 0.5 A/g current density）. We believe that the superior charge storage performance of the pseudocapacitive electrode can be mainly attributed to the hierarchical mnO2 NSs@mnO2 HNPAs building blocks that have a large specific surface area, offering additional electroactive sites for efficient electrochemical reactions. The facile and single-step approach to growth of hierarchical pseudocapacitive materials on textile based electrodes opens up the possibility for the fabrication of high-performance flexible energy storage devices.

White organic light-emitting diodes based on electroplex from polyvinyl carbazole and carbazole oligomers blends

White organic light-emitting diodes with a blue emitting material fluorene-centred ethylene-liked carbazole oligomer （Cz6f） doped into polyvinyl carbazole （PVK） as the single light-emitting layer are reported. The optical properties of Cz6f, PVK, and PVK：Cz6f blends are studied. Single and double layer devices are fabri- cated by using PVK： Cz6f blends, and the device with the configuration of indium tin oxide （ITO）/PVK：Cz6f/ tris（8-hydroxyquinolinate）aluminium （Alq3）/Lif/A1 exhibits white light emission with Commission Internationale de l＇Eclairage chromaticity coordinates of （0.30, 0.33） and a brightness of 402 cd/m^2. The investigation reveals that the white light is composed of a blue-green emission originating from the excimer of Cz6f molecules and a red emission from an electroplex from the PVK：Cz6f blend films.
