We define a new Markov chain on the symbolic space representing the Sierpinski gasket (SG),and show that the corresponding Martin boundary is homeomorphic to the SG while the minimal Martin boundary is the three vertices of the *** addition,the harmonic structure induced by the Markov chain coincides with the canonical one on the *** suggests another approach to consider the existence of Laplacians on those self-similar sets for which the problem is still not settled.

There is a well established multifractal theory for self-similar measures generated by non-overlapping contractive similutudes. Our report here concerns those with overlaps. In particular we restrict our attention to the important classes of self-similar measures that have matrix representations. The dimension spectra and the L q -spectra are analyzed through the product of matrices. There are abnormal behaviors on the multifractal structure and they will be discussed in detail.

A prototype of full-color active-matrix micro-light-emitting diode(micro-LED)micro-display with a pixel density of 391 pixel per inch(ppi)using InGaN/AlGaInP heterogeneous integration is *** blue/green dual-color micro-LED arrays realized on a single metal organic chemical vapor deposition(MOCVD)-grown GaN-on-Si epiwafer and AlGaInP red micro-LED arrays are both monolithically fabricated,followed by the integration with a common complementary metal oxide semiconductor(CMOS)backplane via flip-chip bonding technology to form a doublelayer thin-film display ***-color images with decent color gamut and brightness are successfully displayed through the fine adjustment of driving current densities of RGB *** full-color display combines the advantages of high quantum efficiency of InGaN material on blue/green light and AlGaInP material on red light through heterogeneous integration and high pixel density through monolithic fabrication approach,demonstrating the feasibility and prospects of high brightness,good color performance,and high-resolution micro-LED microdisplays in future metaverse applications.

The precise building performance assessment of residential housings in subtropical regions is usually more difficult than that for the commercial premises due to the much more complicated behavior of the occupants with regard to the change in indoor *** conventional use of a fixed schedule for window opening,clothing insulation and cooling equipment operation cannot reflect the real situation when the occupants respond to the change in thermal comfort,thus affecting the appropriateness of the assessment *** rectify the situation,a new modeling strategy in which the modification of the various operation schedules was based on the calculated thermal comfort(TC),was developed in this *** this new TC-based strategy,the realistic building performances under different cooling provision scenarios applied to a high-rise residential building under the near extreme weather conditions were investigated and *** was found that sole provision of ventilation fans could not meet the zone thermal comfort by over 68%of the time,and air-conditioning was *** optimal use of ventilation fans for cooling could only help reduce the total cooling energy demand by less than 12%at best which could only be realistically evaluated by adopting the present *** studies were conducted which revealed that some design factors could offer opportunities for reducing the total cooling energy under the near extreme weather conditions.

Autoreactive B cells are one of the key immune cells that have been implicated in the pathogenesis of systemic lupus erythematosus （SLE）. In addition to the production of harmful auto-antibodies （auto-Abs）, B cells prime autoreactive T cells as antigen-presenting cells and secrete a wide range of pro-inflammatory cytokines that have both autocrine and paracrine effects. Agents that modulate B cells may therefore be of potential therapeutic value. Current strategies include targeting B-cell surface antigens, cytokines that promote B-cell growth and functions, and B- and T-cell interactions. In this article, we review the role of B cells in SLE in animal and human studies, and we examine previous reports that support B-cell modulation as a promising strategy for the treatment of this condition. In addition, we present an update on the clinical trials that have evaluated the therapeutic efficacy and safety of agents that antagonize CD20, CD22 and B-lymphocyte stimulator （BLyS） in human SLE. While the results of many of these studies remain inconclusive, belimumab, a human monoclonal antibody against BLyS, has shown promise and has recently been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration as an indicated therapy for patients with mild to moderate SLE. Undoubtedly, advances in B-cell immunology will continue to lead us to a better understanding of SLE pathogenesis and the development of novel specific therapies that target B cells.

Substitute of Expensive Pt with Improved Electrocatalytic Performance and Higher Resistance to CO Poisoning for Methanol Oxidation: the Case of Synergistic Pt-Co_3O_4 Nanocomposite

In this paper, Pt-Co_3O_4 nanocomposite was synthesized by a sol gel process combined with electrodeposition method. Its electrocatalytic activity towards methanol oxidation was investigated at room temperature using cyclic voltammetry(CV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS) and current density time curve. It is found that the resultant Pt-Co_3O_4 catalysts with minute amount of Pt exhibite attractive electrocatalytic activity for methanol oxidation reaction(MOR) but with a high resistance CO poisoning due to the synergistic effects from Pt and Co_3O_4. Together with the low manufacturing cost of Co_3O_4, the reported nanostructured Pt-Co_3O_4 catalyst is expected to be a promising electrode material for direct methanol fuel cells(DMFC).

Objective:To establish that the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region(HKSAR)government is actively promoting Chinese medicine(CM)and to examine turnover rate of Chinese medicine practitioners(CMPs)in Hong Kong,China in light of this governmental ***:This study covered two major areas:reviewing CM development in Hong Kong,and assessing the turnover rate of CMPs in Hong *** first part of the paper is a historical *** investigation of turnover rate had two *** 1,quantitative method,involved online questionnaires;Section 2,qualitative method comprised interviews with CMPs from different types of CM clinics to ascertain the reasons for the turnover among ***:A total of 123 online questionnaires were received in Section 1(55 from male CMPs;66 from female CMPs;2 respondents were unwilling to disclose their sex).The proportion of CMPs who had resigned in 2018e19 was 22.8%(28),of whom 5.7%(7)had resigned twice in one *** rates of resignation in 3 years and 5 years were up to 40.7%(50)and 56.9%(70),*** CMPs were interviewed in Section *** CMPs were more likely to resign than *** large gap between actual salary and expectations appeared to be the main reason for the high rate of ***:HKSAR government keenly desires to promote CM in Hong Kong,however,high turnover rate of CMPs was detected even under this positive governmental *** is an urgent need to conduct a more representative study of the reasons for the inclination of CMPs in Hong *** study highlights an important issue in CM development,and these results should remind different stakeholders in the CM industry and the government that CMPs need better career prospects and support in various areas.

BACKGROUND： Acupuncture has been used as a treatment for cognitive impairment. OBJECTIVE： This review assesses clinical evidence for or against acupuncture as a treatment for cognitive impairment. This review also discusses the proposed mechanism（s） that could link acupuncture to improved cognitive function. METHODS： We searched the literature using PolyUone search from its inception to January 2013, with full text available and language limited to English. Levels of evidence were examined using Oxford Centre for Evidence-based Medicine-Levels of Evidence （March, 2009）. RESULTS： Twelve studies met the inclusion criteria： 3 human studies and 9 animal studies. Levels of evidence ranged from level lb to level 5. CONCLUSION： Most animal studies demonstrated a positive effect of acupuncture on cognitive impairment. However, the results of human studies were inconsistent. Further high-quality human studies with greater statistical power are needed to determine the effectiveness of acupuncture and an optimal protocol.

Portal venous gas and thrombosis in a Chinese patient with fulminant Crohn’s colitis: A case report with literature review

Ever since its earliest reports, portal venous gas (PVG) has been associated with numerous intraabdominal catastrophes and has served as an indication for urgent surgical exploration. It is traditionally regarded to be an ominous finding of impending death, with highest mortality reported in patients with underlying bowel ischemia. Today, computed tomography has demonstrated a wider range of clinical conditions associated with PVG, some of which are ‘benign’ and do not necessarily require surgery, unless when there are signs of intraabdominal catastrophe or systemic toxicity. One of these ‘benign’ conditions is Crohn’s disease. The present report describes a 19-year-old Chinese boy with Crohn’s pancolitis who presented with septic shock associated with PVG and portal vein thrombosis, and was successfully managed surgically. To our knowledge, this is the fi rst report of PVG and portal vein thrombosis associated with Crohn’s disease in a Chinese patient. In addition, we have also reviewed the reports of another 18 Crohn’s patients with PVG previously described in the English literature. Specifi c predisposing factors for PVG were identified in 8 patients, including barium enema, colonoscopy, blunt abdominal trauma, and enterovenous f istula. The patients who developed PVG following barium enema and blunt trauma were all asymptomatic and no specifi c treatment was necessary. Eleven patients (58%) who presented with signs of intraabdominal catastrophe or systemic toxicity required either immediate or eventual surgery. The overall mortality rate among the 19 patients was only 11%. The present literature review has shown that the f inding of PVG associated with Crohn’ s disease does not always mandate surgical intervention. It is the clinical features and the related complications that ultimately determine the treatment approaches. The overall outcome of PVG associated with Crohn’s disease has been favourable.
