In this work, the electronic, optical, and mechanical properties of bN, AlN, and InN under the action of pressure are calculated. For each of these compounds, the energy band structure, band gaps（e^L_g, e~Γ_g, e^X_g）, refractive index（n）,dielectric constants（ε_∞, ε_0）, elastic constants（C_11, C_12, C_44）, and relevant parameters such as bulk（b_u）, shear（S_h）, and Young＇s（Y_0） moduli are studied, and other important parameters such as bond-stretching（α）, bond-bending（β） force constant, internal-strain parameter（ζ）, effective charges（e~＊_T, Z~＊）, anisotropy factor（I_s）, Poisson＇s ratio（P_o）, Cauchy ratio（C_a）, the ductility index（μ_D）, and linear compressibility（C0_） are also calculated. The effects of pressure on all studied properties are investigated. Our results are in good agreement with the available experimental and theoretical data for bN,AlN, and InN.

The paper represents a rigorous treatment of the underlying quantum theory, not just in words but providing the underlying technical details, as to why matter occupies so large a volume and its intimate connection with the Pauli exclusion principle, as more and more matter is put together, as well as of the contraction or shrinkage of ＂bosonic matter＂, upon collapse, for which the Panli exclusion is abolished. From the derived explicit bounds of integrals of powers of the particle number densities, explicit bounds on probabilities of the occurrences of the events just described are extracted. These probabilities lead one to infer the change of the ＂size＂ or extension of such matter, upon expansion or contraction, respectively, as their content is increased.

Synthesis of five 7-membered compounds containing silane, sulfur and phosphorus groups was achieved by using endo, endo-bicyclo[3.3.0]octanediol 2. These tricyclic molecules are considered as ideal substrates far kinetic resolution of the diol. A discussion of the spectral data about these compounds was given and four of them would be substrate molecules containing an sp(3) hybridized prochiral center and could be used for molecules for a kinetic resolution combining configurational diastereotopos-differentiating and diastereoisomer-differentiating reactions.

A series of aluminoborosilicate glasses were prepared amounts of SiO2, A1203, H3bO3, Na2CO3, and ZrO2 with adding using the melt-quenching technique for mixture of stoichiometric of different amounts of CeO〉 The samples were investigated by means of luminescence spectroscopy. Tunable luminescence from violet to blue/green was observed from these glasses with different Xe-lamp excitation wavelengths ranging from 370 to 480 nm as well as with laser excitation of 266 and 355 nm. Moreover it was found that the possibility of tuning the light by changing of excitation wavelength was not unique. The same effect was observed by adjusting conditions for luminescence measurements as well as under exposure to β-irradiation. The obtained phenomena could be explained taking into account structural characteristics of this glass and it could be concluded that tunable luminescence results from the presence of different Ce-sites the glass matrix. Thus the results suggest that Ce-doped glasses could be considered as conversion materials for blue light-emitting diode chips to generate white light-emitting diodes.

The mechanical properties, such as the elastic constants C11, C12, C44, and bulk, Young＇s, and shear moduli, of a Ga x In1-x As y P1-y alloy lattice matching to a Ga As substrate are calculated for various As concentrations. The calculations are based on the pseudo-potential method within the virtual crystal approximation containing the effective disorder potential. The variations of the studied properties with pressure and temperature are investigated. A comparison between the calculated results and the available published data for binary parent compounds shows that they have good agreement,while the calculated results for the quaternary alloys at various temperature and pressure may be taken as a reference.

The electronic band structure of GaxIn1-xAs alloy is calculated by using the local empirical pseudo-potential method including the effective disorder potential in the virtual crystal approximation. The compositional effect of the electronic energy band structure of this alloy is studied with composition x ranging from 0 to 1. Various physical quantities such as band gaps, bowing parameters, refractive indices, and high frequency dielectric constants of the considered alloys with different Ga concentrations are calculated. The effects of both temperature and hydrostatic pressure on the calculated quantities are studied. The obtained results are found to be in good agreement with the available experimental and published data.

The Schrodinger equation is solved with general molecular potential via the improved quantization *** for bound state energy eigenvalues,radial eigenfunctions,mean kinetic energy,and potential energy are obtained in compact *** modeling the centrifugal term of the effective potential,a Pekeris-like approximation scheme is ***,we use the Hellmann–Feynman theorem to derive the relation for expectation *** state energy eigenvalues,wave functions and meanenergies of Woods–Saxon potential,Morse potential,Mobius squared and Tietz–Hua oscillators are deduced from the general molecular *** addition,we use our equations to compute the bound state energy eigenvalues and expectation values for four diatomic molecules viz.H_(2),CO,HF,and O_(2).Results obtained are in perfect agreement with the data available from the literature for the potentials and *** also show that as the vibrational quantum number increases,the mean kinetic energy for the system in a Tietz–Hua potential increases slowly to a threshold value and then *** in a Morse potential,the mean kinetic energy increases linearly with vibrational quantum number increasing.

Recently, a conformable fractional derivative has been proposed to calculate the derivative of non-integer order of time functions. It has been shown that this new fractional derivative definition obeys many advantages over the preceding definitions. For mathematical models in applied sciences and to preserve the dimensionality of the physical quantities, an auxiliary parameter （~r） which has the dimension of seconds should be implemented in the fractional derivative definition. We obtain analytic solutions for the resulting conformable fractional differential equations describing the vertical velocity and the height of the falling body. It is shown that the dimensions of velocity and height are always correct without any restrictions on the auxiliary parameter cr which contradicts with the results in the literature when applying the Caputo definition to the same problem. This may open the door for many future works either to describe the role of such an auxiliary parameter or to derive a more suitable definition for the fractional derivative.
