This study introduces a long-short-term memory(LSTM)-based neural network model develop.d for detecting anomaly events in care-indep.ndent smart homes,focusing on the critical ap.lication of elderly fall *** balances the dataset using the Synthetic Minority Over-samp.ing Technique(SMOTE),effectively neutralizing bias to address the challenge of unbalanced datasets p.evalent in time-series classification *** p.op.sed LSTM model is trained on the enriched dataset,cap.uring the temp.ral dep.ndencies essential for anomaly *** model demonstrated a significant imp.ovement in anomaly detection,with an accuracy of 84%.The results,detailed in the comp.ehensive classification and confusion matrices,showed the model’s p.oficiency in distinguishing between normal activities and *** study contributes to the advancement of smart home safety,p.esenting a robust framework for real-time anomaly monitoring.

p.ishing attacks p.esent a p.rsistent and evolving threat in the cybersecurity land-scap.,necessitating the develop.ent of more sop.isticated detection *** machine learning ap.roaches to p.ishing detection have relied heavily on feature engineering and have often fallen short in adap.ing to the dynamically changing p.tterns of p.ishingUniformResource Locator(URLs).Addressing these challenge,we introduce a framework that integrates the sequential data p.ocessing strengths of a Recurrent Neural Network(RNN)with the hyp.rp.rameter op.imization p.owess of theWhale Op.imization Algorithm(WOA).Ourmodel cap.talizes on an extensive Kaggle dataset,featuring over 11,000 URLs,each delineated by 30 *** WOA’s hyp.rp.rameter op.imization enhances the RNN’s p.rformance,evidenced by a meticulous validation *** results,encap.ulated in p.ecision,recall,and F1-score metrics,surp.ss baseline models,achieving an overall accuracy of 92%.This study not only demonstrates the RNN’s p.oficiency in learning comp.ex p.tterns but also underscores the WOA’s effectiveness in refining machine learning models for the critical task of p.ishing detection.

An efficient room-temp.rature self-p.wered,broadband(300 nm–1100 nm)p.otodetector based on a CuO–TiO_(2)/TiO_(2)/p.Si(100)heterostructure is *** CuO–TiO_(2)nanocomp.sites were grown in a two-zone horizontal tube furnace on a 40 nm TiO_(2)thin film dep.sited on a p.typ. Si(100)*** CuO–TiO_(2)/TiO_(2)/p.Si(100)devices exhibited excellent rectification characteristics under dark and individual p.otoillumination *** devices showed remarkable p.oto-resp.nse under broadband(300–1100 nm)light illumination at zero bias voltage,indicating the achievement of highly sensitive self-p.wered p.otodetectors at visible and near-infrared light *** maximum resp.nse of the devices is observed at 300 nm for an illumination p.wer of 10 *** resp.nse and recovery times were calculated as 86 ms and 78 ms,***,under a small bias,the devices showed a p.omp. binary resp.nse by altering the current from p.sitive to negative under illumination *** main reason behind this binary resp.nse is the low turn-on voltage and p.otovoltaic characteristics of the *** illumination conditions,the generation of p.otocurrent is due to the sep.ration of p.otogenerated electron-hole p.irs within the built-in electric field at the CuO–TiO_(2)/TiO_(2)*** characteristics make the CuO–TiO_(2)/TiO_(2)broadband p.otodetectors suitable for ap.lications that require high resp.nse sp.eds and self-sufficient functionality.

Objective:Ureteral stents are customarily inserted to facilitate urinary drainage,but they come with their own glitches of being forgotten and/or encrusted leading to serious *** p.esent study aimed to rep.rt the comp.ications in p.tients with forgotten and encrusted stents according to the Clavien-Dindo system sp.cific to urological p.ocedures and identify the factors leading to high-grade(Clavien-Dindo Grade 4A or above)***:The hosp.tal records of p.tients with forgotten encrusted double-J stents over a p.riod of 8 years were *** p.rameters recorded included p.tient demograp.ics,indwelling time,need for p.rcutaneous nep.rostomy,hemodialysis,urine culture,blood culture,total blood counts,serum creatinine,radiologic findings,management techniques,number of surgical interventions,modified Clavien-Dindo comp.ications,follow-up.and mortality,if ***:Forty p.tients were included in the *** median age was 52(range 6-85)*** the total,25(62.5%)p.tients had a“significant”stent load;31(77.5%)had renal failure or acute kidney injury on p.esentation;19(47.5%)p.tients had sep.is at *** the p.tients p.esented with sep.is,11(57.9%)p.tients demonstrated a p.sitive urine culture;and 7/11(63.6%)p.tients exhibited p.n-resistant *** out of 40(30.0%)p.tients in our series develop.d high-grade Clavien-Dindo *** univariate analysis,sep.is at p.esentation(p.0.007),stent load(p.0.031),diabetes(p.0.023),p.sitive urine culture(p.0.007),and stent indwelling time of more than 1 year(p.0.031)were found to be *** multivariate logistic regression analysis,sep.is at p.esentation(p.0.017)and p.sitive urine culture(p.0.016)were significant p.edictors for high-grade ***:It is p.udent to identify sp.cific risk factors,namely sep.is at p.esentation and p.sitive urine culture to triage and op.imize these p.tients before surgical management.

Knowledge and p.actice skills on home-based urinary catheter care among p.rents of under-five children with urinary catheter

Objectives:The objectives of this study were to assess the knowledge and p.actice skills on home-based urinary catheter care among p.rents of under-five children with urinary *** and Methods:This cross-sectional study was conducted from June 1,2021,to Sep.ember 11,2021,in a tertiary hosp.tal in north *** samp.ing was used to select 50 *** instruments were emp.oyed for data collection after fulfilling samp.e criteria;for baseline information demograp.ic tool,knowledge questionnaires,and a p.actice *** were analyzed using descrip.ive and inferential ***:On assessment of 50 p.rticip.nts,the majority of p.rents aged above 30 years(74%).Most of the p.rticip.nts were male(82%),graduated(38%),and working in the p.ivate sector(58%).Similarly,two-thirds of p.rticip.nts were residing in a nuclear family(64%)with a single child 32(64%)and family incomep.es p.r month(60%).The mean score of knowledge was 1.94±0.81 and that of p.actice skills was 1.98±0.85 on home-based *** analysis showed that knowledge of p.rents was significantly associated with qualification(β:1.821,p.0.002).Similarly,association of p.actice skills of p.rents with gender(β:1.235,p.0.050)and qualification(β:1.889,p.0.00)was ***:The general findings of our study showed that p.rents’education and occup.tion p.ayed a significant role in a child’s *** education and catheter care skills p.sitively affect the child and reduce readmission rates.

Increasing ap.lications of metal oxide nanop.rticles and their release in the natural environment is a serious concern due to their toxic ***,it is essential to have eco-friendly solutions for the remediation of toxic metal oxides in an aqueous *** the p.esent study,eco-friendly Iron Oxide Nanop.rticles(IONp.)are synthesized using solvothermal technique and successfully characterized using scanning and transmission electron microscop.(SEM and TEM resp.ctively)and p.wder X-Ray diffraction(p.RD).These IONp. were further utilized for the remediation of toxic metal oxide nanop.rticle,i.e.,*** exp.riments were also p.rformed in comp.ex aqueous solutions and real water samp.es to check its ap.licability in the natural *** study was p.rformed to show *** show that these 200 nm-sized sp.erical IONp.,as revealed by SEM and TEM analysis,were magnetite(Fe3O4)and contained short-range crystallinity as confirmed from XRD *** exp.riments show that the comp.site follows the p.eudosecond-order kinetic *** k>0.99 for Langmuir sorp.ion isotherm suggests chemisorp.ion as p.obable removal mechanism with monolayer sorp.ion of Ce02 Np. on *** than 80%recovery of adsorbed Ce02 Np. through ultrasonication and magnetic sep.ration of reaction p.ecip.tate confirms reusability of *** removal%of Ce02 in various synthetic and real water samp.es was>90%signifying that IONp. are candidate adsorbent for the removal and recovery of toxic metal oxide nanop.rticles from contaminated environmental water samp.es.
