Steady Characteristics of the Water-Lubricated Conical Bearings

The water-lubricated conical bearing has attracted attentions of researchers for its simple structure, easily adjusted gap （fdm thickness ）, lower friction loss, and less pollution in application. A mathematic model with consideration of the effects of turbulence, two-phase flow, and temperature on the pressure field at bearing surface is proposed here. Using this model, the Reynolds＇ equation and energy equation are solved in which the thermo- physical properties of the water as lubricant are taken into account. The dependency of characteristics of bearing, such as load-earrying capacity, flow rate （pumping losses ）, and frictional losses, on angular velocity, conical angle, and radial eccentricities, is presented. The research results are beneficial to the improvement of the efficiency of conical bearing and the environmental protection.

Interaction of 1,2-Diaminoimidazoles with Ethoxymythelene-Containing Compounds

Interaction of 1, 2-diaminoimidazole with ethoxymethylene-containing derivatives has been studied. It is determined that the interaction malondinitrile, cyanoacetic ester, acetylacetone leads to linearly linked products: 2-[[(2-amino-4-phenyl-1Н-imidazole-1-yl)amino] methylene] propanedinitrile, ethyl ester 2-[(2-emino-4-phenyl-1Н-imidazole-1-yl)amino]-2-cyano-2-propanoic acid and 2-[[(2-amino-4-phenyl-1Н-imodazole-1-yl)amino] methylene]-2,4-pentanedoine. An exception is the reaction of ethoxymethylene ester, in the result of which 7-amino-2-methyl-5-phenyl-imidazol [1, 5-b] pyridine-3-carboxylic acid ethyl ester is regioselectively formed. The products are obtained regardless of reaction condition. The structures of resulting compound are confirmed by NMR 1H and mass spectroscopy. Further cyclization of linear intermediates with acetic acid, triethylamine, dimethylformamide and dioxane has led to asphaltization that implies difficulties of further individualize derived substances.

Molecular Transformation of C-, Si- and Ge-tetrachlorides in Liquid Phase

The FTIR study of liquid tetrachlorides of carbon, silicon and germanium indicates the presence of additional absorbance, which is not predicted by theory of normal vibrations. The behavior of bands, as well as heavy masses of oscillating atoms disprove the anharmonic nature of that absorbance, and it should mean the change of the molecular symmetry and bonds order in liquid phase. DFT quantum chemical calculations verify such assignment and indicate the step-type transformation of initial molecule with quite low energy barriers.
