The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19) is a global pandemic that has heavily impacted not only the health sector, but also the economic sector in *** countries have projected a negative economic impact, and the effect on micro-, small-, and medium-sized enterprises(MSMEs) is predicted to be significantly *** study estimated the regional resistance of MSME sales revenues and identified the regional economic factors that affect resistance by analyzing South Korea, a country with one of the lowest economic impact projections from COVID-19. Resistance was estimated by comparing sales revenues and changes in resistance observed during the early COVID-19 period to those recorded in the same weeks(weeks 6 to 9) of 2019. The factors that affect regional resistance were determined by conducting robust regression and spatial regression analyses. The results show that the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases, a direct risk factor, is negatively related to regional resilience, while diversity is positively related to regional resistance. To improve the regional resistance against uncertain events, this study recommends increased diversity among regional industrial structures to reduce the duration of the early shock of an unexpected adverse event.

A heterostructured electrocatalyst of small NiSe_(2) nanoparticles confined NiMoN nanorods(NiSe_(2)-NPs/NiMoN-NRs)is prepared to accelerate both the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)and oxygen evolution reaction(OER)in a same alkaline *** synergistic effects caused by the combination of merits derived from NiSe_(2) and NiMoN phases trigger an optimum electronic structure with high density of state at near Fermi level and enhance adsorption free energy,thereby resulting in excellent catalytic activities and strengthened working *** catalyst requires a low overpotential of 58 mV for HER and 241 mV for OER to reach 10 mA cm^(−2) in 1.0 M KOH electrolyte.A twoelectrode electrolyzer based on the developed catalyst shows outstanding cell voltage of 1.51 and 1.46 V to reach 10 mA cm^(−2) in 1.0 M and 30 wt%KOH solution at 25℃ for overall water splitting,*** addition,the solardriven water splitting process delivers a high solar-to-H_(2) conversion efficiency of∼18.4%,impressively unveiling that the developed bifunctional catalyst is highly potential for overall water splitting to produce green hydrogen fuel.

We report a rare case of a 74-year-old man with metachronous gallbladder cancer and bile duct cancer who underwent curative resection twice, with the operations nine years apart. At the age of 65 years, the patient underwent a cholecystectomy and resection of the liver bed for gallbladder cancer. This was a welldifferentiated adenocarcinoma, with negative resection margins （T2NOM0, stage Ⅰ B）. Nine years later, during a follow-up examination, abdominal computed tomography and MRCP showed an enhanced 1.7 cm mass in the hilum that extended to the second branch of the right intrahepatic bile duct. We diagnosed this lesion as a perihilar bile duct cancer, Bismuth type Ⅲ a, and performed bile duct excision, right hepatic Iobectomy and Roux-en-Y hepaticojejunostomy. The histological diagnosis was a well-differentiated adenocarcinoma with one regional lymph node metastasis （TINIM0, stage Ⅱ B）. Twelve months after the second operation, the patient is well, with no signs of recurrence. This case is compared with 11 other cases of metachronous biliary tract cancer published in the world medical literature.

In this paper, a new class of image texture operators is proposed. We firstly determine that the number of gray levels in each B × B subblock is a fundamental property of the local image texture. Thus, an occurrence histogram for each B × B sub-block can be utilized to describe the texture of the image. Moreover, using a new multi-bit plane strategy, i.e., representing the image texture with the occurrence histogram of the first one or more significant bit-planes of the input image, more powerful operators for describing the image texture can be obtained. The proposed approach is invariant to gray scale variations since the operators are, by definition,invariant under any monotonic transformation of the gray scale, and robust to rotation. They can also be used as supplementary operators to local binary patterns(LBP) to improve their capability to resist illuminance variation, surface transformations, etc.

During slow level flight of a pigeon, a caudal muscle involved in tail movement, the levator caudae pars vertebralis, is activated at a particular phase with the pectoralis wing muscle. Inspired by mechanisms for the control of stability in flying animals, especially the role of the tail in avian flight, we investigated how periodic tail motion linked to motion of the wings affects the longitudinal stability of ornithopter flight. This was achieved by using an integrative ornithopter flight simulator that included aeroelastic behaviour of the flexible wings and tail. Trim flight trajectories of the simulated omithopter model were calculated by time integration of the nonlinear equations of a flexible multi-body dynamics coupled with a semi-empirical flapping-wing and tail aerodynamic models. The unique trim flight characteristics of ornithopter, Limit-Cycle Oscillation, were found under the sets of wingbeat frequency and tail elevation angle, and the appropriate phase angle of tail motion was determined by parameter studies minimizing the amplitude of the oscillations. The numerical simulation results show that tail actuation synchronized with wing motion suppresses the oscillation of body pitch angle over a wide range of wingbeat frequencies.

The influence of fabrication on the tensile and fatigue behavior of copper films manufactured by 3 kinds of fabrication methods was investigated. The tensile and high cycle fatigue tests were performed using the test machine developed by authors. Young＇s moduli （72, 71 and 69 GPa, respectively） are lower than the literature values （108-145 GPa）, while the yield strengths were as high as 358, 350 and 346 MPa, respectively and the ultimate strengths as 462, 456 and 446 MPa, respectively. There is not much difference in the tensile properties of the 3 kinds of films. There is little difference in the fatigue properties of the 3 kinds of films but one of them has shorter fatigue life than others in high cycle region and longer fatigue life than others in low cycle region.

The characteristics of the upper-level circulation and thermodynamical properties for the period when two distinct cold surges broke out over East Asia during the 2005/06 winter are investigated. From early December 2005 to early January 2006, exceptionally cold weather lasted for approximately one month due to two successive cold surges that took place on 2 December 2005 and 2 January 2006, respectively. This study reveals that both involve the upper-tropospheric circulation, which induces the amplification and expansion of the surface Siberian high toward East Asia, but arose from different causes： the former is caused by the upper-level blocking originated from the North Pacific and the latter is caused by the upper-level wave train across the Eurasian Continent. In particular, it is suggested that the lower-tropospheric anomalous wind caused by upper-level circulation anomalies and a steep meridional temperature gradient amplified by phase-locked annual cycle combined to induce very strong cold advection in East Asia, which resulted in exceptionally cold weather that lasted for several weeks. The present results emphasize that the characteristics of the upper-tropospheric circulation can be considered as important precursors to cold surge occurrences in East Asia.
