In the present technological world,surveillance cameras generate an immense amount of video data from various sources,making its scrutiny tough for computer vision *** is difficult to search for anomalous events manually in thesemassive video records since they happen infrequently and with a low probability in real-world monitoring ***,intelligent surveillance is a requirement of the modern day,as it enables the automatic identification of normal and aberrant behavior using artificial intelligence and computer vision *** this article,we introduce an efficient Attention-based deep-learning approach for anomaly detection in surveillance video(ADSV).At the input of the ADSV,a shots boundary detection technique is used to segment prominent ***,The Lightweight ConvolutionNeuralNetwork(LWCNN)model receives the segmented frames to extract spatial and temporal information from the intermediate *** that,spatial and temporal features are learned using Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM)cells and Attention Network from a series of frames for each anomalous activity in a *** detect motion and action,the LWCNN received chronologically sorted ***,the anomaly activity in the video is identified using the proposed trained ADSV *** experiments are conducted on complex and challenging benchmark *** addition,the experimental results have been compared to state-ofthe-artmethodologies,and a significant improvement is attained,demonstrating the efficiency of our ADSV method.

Endurance Analysis of Automotive Vehicle’s Door W/H System Using Finite Element Analysis

In the automotive electronics industry, demand for low-cost, high strength-to in-service performance for electronic components continues to drive the development of vehicles’ door Wiring Harness (W/H) system for new applications. The problem of the fatigue strength estimation of materials or components containing natural defects, inclusions or in homogeneities is of great importance from both a scientific and industrial point of view. This article gives some insight into the dimensioning process, with special focusing on fatigue analysis of W/H in a vehicle’s door structures. An en-durance life prediction of door W/H was calculated using finite element analyses. Endurance test data for slim test specimens were compared with the predicted fatigue life for verification. The final life expectancy of the component combines the effects of these microstructural features with the complex stress state arising from the combined service loading and residual stresses.

Apoptotic cell clearance by phagocytes is essential in tissue *** demonstrated that conditioned medium(CM)from macrophages exposed to apoptotic cancer cells inhibits the TGFβ1-induced epithelial–mesenchymal transition(EMT),migration,and invasion of cancer *** 344SQ(ApoSQ)cell-induced PPARγactivity in macrophages increased the levels of PTEN,which was secreted in *** PTEN was taken up by recipient lung cancer ***-exposed CM from PTEN knockdown cells failed to enhance PTEN in 344SQ cells,restore cellular polarity,or exert anti-EMT and anti-invasive *** CM that was deficient in PPARγligands,including 15-HETE,lipoxin A4,and 15d-PGJ2,could not reverse the suppression of PPARγactivity or the PTEN increase in 344SQ cells and consequently failed to prevent the EMT ***,a single injection of ApoSQ cells inhibited lung metastasis in syngeneic immunocompetent mice with enhanced PPARγ/PTEN signaling both in tumorassociated macrophages and in tumor ***γantagonist GW9662 reversed the signaling by PPARγ/PTEN;the reduction in EMT-activating transcription factors,such as Snai1 and Zeb1;and the antimetastatic effect of the ApoSQ ***,the injection of apoptotic lung cancer cells may offer a new strategy for the prevention of lung metastasis.

Thioredoxin and thioredoxin-interacting protein as prognostic markers for gastric cancer recurrence

AIM:To evaluate the potential of thioredoxin (TXN) and thioredoxin-interacting protein (TXNIP) expression as biomarkers for predicting gastric cancer recurrence. METHODS:TXN and TXNIP expression levels were acquired from gene expression microarray data for 65 human gastric cancer tissues. We determined whether each gene expression level was associated with cancer recurrence and investigated the relationship between the two genes. For validation, the expression levels of TXN and TXNIP were measured by quantitative real- time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction in 68 independent stage Ⅲ gastric cancer patients. The correlation between gene expression and cancer prognosis was evaluated. Immunohistochemical staining was performed to investigate the protein expression levels of TXN and TXNIP and to characterize the expression patterns of each protein. RESULTS:TXN was a prognosis-related gene (P = 0.009), whereas TXNIP, a TXN inhibitor, demonstrated a negative correlation with TXN in the gene expression microarray data. In the 68 stage Ⅲ patients, the expression levels of both TXN and TXNIP had a statistically significant effect on recurrence-free survival (RFS, P = 0.008 and P = 0.036, respectively). The low TXN and high TXNIP expression group exhibited a better prognosis than the other groups, and the high TXN and low TXNIP expression group exhibited a poorer prognosis (P < 0.001 for RFS and P = 0.001 for overall survival). More than half of the patients in the simulta-neously high TXN and low TXNIP expression group ex- perienced a recurrence within 1 year after curative surgery, and the 5-year survival rate of the patients in this group was 29%, compared with 89% in the low TXN and high TXNIP expression group. The TXN protein was overexpressed in 65% of the gastric cancer tissues, whereas the TXNIP protein was underexpressed in 85% of the cancer cells. Changes in microorganisms and metabolites during long-term fermentation of commercially manufactured anchovy sauce

This study was performed to investigate the changes in microbial communities and metabolites during the long-term fermentation of commercially manufactured anchovy sauce. Samples of commercial anchovy sauce were collected from large-scale fermentation tanks with fermentation periods of up to 7.87 years. The complex bacterial community was simplified to two genera， Tetragenococcus and Halanaerobium， after approximately 0.55 years of fermentation. Although genera， such as Saccharomyces， Cladosporium， Candida， and Aspergillus， were relatively dominant， no clear pattern was identified in fungal community analysis. The longitudinal metabolite profile demonstrated that approximately half (55.8%) of the metabolites present in anchovy sauce were produced within a year of fermentation due to rapid fermentation. Despite the static microbial community， the contents of several metabolites including amino acids and biogenic amines changed continuously during the long-term fermentation of anchovy sauce. This study provides novel insights into the changes in microbiota and metabolites in fish sauce produced without any starter inoculation.

Effects of smoking on cerebral and ventricular volumes in healthy males

Previous studies have reported decreased cerebral volume as a result of smoking. However, little is known about accompanying changes in ventricular volume for healthy subjects who smoke, although ventricular volume is increased in patients with multiple sclerosis who smoke. The present study analyzed whether cerebral volume decreased with smoking through the use of magnetic resonance imaging. In addition, accompanying changes in ventricular volume that resulted from decreased cerebral volume and smoking were analyzed in healthy subjects. When multivariate analysis of covariance was performed by integrating the 2 age groups, aged 20-28 years and 40-49 years, with statistical significance, results showed that cerebral volume of smokers was smaller and ventricular volume was greater compared with the non-smokers. These findings suggest that ventricular volume changes could be utilized to characterize the effects of smoking.

Finite Difference Preconditioners for Legendre Based Spectral Element Methods on Elliptic Boundary Value Problems

Finite difference type preconditioners for spectral element discretizations based on Legendre-Gauss-Lobatto points are analyzed. The latter is employed for the approximation of uniformly elliptic partial differential problems. In this work, it is shown that the condition number of the resulting preconditioned system is bounded independently of both of the polynomial degrees used in the spectral element method and the element sizes. Several numerical tests verify the h-p independence of the proposed preconditioning.

Effect of heat treatment on LPSO morphology and mechanical properties of Mg-Zn-Y-Gd alloys

The mechanical properties and microstructure were investigated under different Zn content and heat treatment conditions in a Mg-Zn-YGd cast alloy.A part of the long period stacking order(LPSO)phases transformed to W-M^ZnaRE?phases with an increase in Zn content from 0.9 at.%to 1.8 at.%,and the ultimate tensile strength(UTS)increased from 229 MPa to 248 *** solution treatment at 480°C,the content of the LPSO phase and strength sharply decreased in the Mg-1.8Zn-0.8Y-0.8Gd alloy,whereas this change was not significantly observed in the Mg-0.9Zn-O.8Y-O.8Gd *** solution treatment,the elongation significantly improved and the UTS sharply decreased in both *** lamellar and filminess LPSO phases were observed with aging treatment at 200℃.Moreover,the strengthening efficiency of lamellar and filminess LPSO phases was lower than that of the block LPSO ***,the UTS of the T6 state was lower than that of the as-cast alloy.
