Aluminum alloy 5083(AA5083)processed by large-scale Equal-channel angular pressing(ECAP)is an excellent engineering material with great prospects for industrial *** accurate assessment of the underlying constitutive relationships with easily determined material constants is critical for the predictive design and informed processing of such structural *** develop such a design framework,uniaxial dynamic compressive tests over a wide range of temperatures(293-573 K)were carried out for an ECAP-processed AA5083 ***,the microstructure before and after dynamic loading was characterized by SEM and *** on the experimental results,a new dynamic constitutive model,based on thermal activation theory,was established to describe the plastic flow behavior of the AA5083 alloy that incorporates the effects of plastic strain,temperature,and strain *** input parameters of the new model were determined using a particle swarm optimization(PSO)*** model predictions show excellent agreement with experimental results,which suggests that the current predictive constitutive model is highly effective in reproducing the dynamic deformation behavior of the large-scale ECAP-processed AA5083.

Refractory high-entropy alloys present attractive mechanical properties,i.e.,high yield strength and fracture toughness,making them potential candidates for structural *** of atomic and electronic interactions are important to reveal the origins for the formation of high-entropy alloys and their structure−dominated mechanical properties,thus enabling the development of a predictive approach for rapidly designing advanced ***,we report the atomic and electronic basis for the valence−electron-concentration-categorized principles and the observed serration behavior in high-entropy alloys and highentropy metallic glass,including MoNbTaW,MoNbVW,MoTaVW,HfNbTiZr,and Vitreloy-1 MG(Zr_(41)Ti_(14)Cu_(12.5)Ni_(10)Be_(22.5)).We find that the yield strengths of high-entropy alloys and high-entropy metallic glass are a power-law function of the electron-work function,which is dominated by local atomic ***,a reliance on the bonding-charge density provides a groundbreaking insight into the nature of loosely bonded spots in *** presence of strongly bonded clusters and weakly bonded glue atoms imply a serrated deformation of high-entropy alloys,resulting in intermittent avalanches of defects movement.

A 61-year-old female patient suffering from recent onset palpitations and dyspnea on exertion with hypertension and mitral valve prolapse in her past history came to our outpatient department. Echocardiography revealed a mild mitral valve prolapse, slightly decreased left ventricular （LV） function （LV ejection fraction： 51%） and a mild mitral regurgitation.

Novel activated carbon-zeolite composite adsorbent was prepared from macadamia shell bio-waste and synthetic zeolite X using hydrothermal *** studies revealed mainly mesoporous structure with 418 m^2·g^(-1) BET surface area with faujasite clusters on the carbon *** capacity for methylene blue model pollutant increased from 85 to 97 mg·g^(-1) with the temperature increase from 25 to 45 ℃, and improved with increasing *** regression analyses found accurate fit to the pseudo-first-order kinetics model and intra-particle diffusion rate controlling *** fits to the jovanovic isotherm model indicated monolayer coverage on chiefly homotattic surfaces with variable *** thermodynamic analysis confirmed spontaneous and endothermic physisorption *** spent adsorbent was regenerated with 20% capacity loss over five reuse *** the adsorbent was developed for ammonia, heavy metal and organic matter removal from water sources, the results also indicate good performance in cationic dye removal from wastewaters.

The study of human-environment relationships in mountain areas is important for both theoretical and practical reasons, as many mountain areas suffer similar problems, such as depopulation, unemployment and natural hazards. Medium mountains constitute a special case within mountains, because they are more populated but less attractive as tourist destinations than high mountains. In this context, the Apuseni Mts （Romania） are considered as a ease study. In this paper, we apply GIS-based, quantitative methods to characterize the strength and dynamics of human-environment interactions, taking into consideration some environmental factors （elevation, relative height, slope, river distance, lithology, land cover, natural attractions） as well as historical population and recent tourism data. We found that population density has strong （r2〉0.8） relationships with all relief factors （elevation, relative height, slope, river distance）, and that best-fit functions are nonlinear. We outlined the varying demographic scenarios by elevation zones and interpreted the historically switching sign of population change versus elevation relationship. We demonstrated that lithology also has an impact on the spatial distribution of population, although it is not independent from the relief effect. The land cover of the mainly cultural landscape is very strongly correlated with relief parameters （especially slope）, which suggests good adaptation. We pointed out the dominance of karst objects in the natural tourism potential of the Apuseni Mts and also explored further components of real tourism （spas, heritage, towns）. Finally, we concluded that the environmental settings investigated do in fact constrain the spatial framework of society, but soeio-economic changes in history can be explained from the side of society, which conforms to the theory of cultural possibilism.

In order to determine the theoretical minimum clamping pressure required in carton clamp handling of heavyweight corrugated package(HCP)such as large packages or unitized agricultural product packages,a numerical model of clamping pressure was *** develop the model,the dynamic load factor was measured at the handling test course which was designed on the basis of actual handling environment of the target ***,the static-frictional coefficients between the HCPs and between the HCP and a rubber contact pad of carton clamp arm were *** main factors in the developed numerical model of clamping pressure were the handling load weight and the effective contact area of the carton clamp *** addition,field tests were performed to validate the theoretical minimum clamping pressure calculated from the *** slip distance from the single package and two packages handling was estimated as a 3.2 mm through field test,and it is expected that the 3.2 mm slip distance will be acceptable for a safe operation in the handling *** suggested analytical approach with the numerical model can be a useful means for estimating the clamping pressure of the carton clamps used to handle the HCP.

AIM:To compare the anterior and posterior corneal parameters before and after collagen cross-linking therapy for ***:Collagen cross-linking was performed in31 eyes of 31 keratoconus patients(mean age 30.6±8.9y).Prior to treatment and an average 7mo after therapy,Scheimpflug analysis was performed using Pentacam *** addition to corneal thickness assessments,corneal radius,elevation,and aberrometric measurements were performed both on anterior and posterior corneal *** obtained before and after surgery were statistically ***:In terms of horizontal and vertical corneal radius,and central corneal thickness no deviations were observed an average 7mo after *** higher order aberration showed no difference neither on anterior nor on posterior corneal *** follow-up period,no significant deviation was detected regarding elevation values obtained by measurement in mm units between the 3.0-8.0 ***:Corneal stabilization could be observed in terms of anterior and posterior corneal surfaces,elevation and higher order aberration values 7mo after collagen cross-linking therapy for keratoconus.
