Encapsulating perovskite quantum dots into 3D COF for visible light-driven CO2 reduction

Lead halide perovskite quantum dots（LHP QDs） have been revealed to possess great potential in photocatalytic applications including CO2reduction, which however suffer from poor stability. Herein, a high crystalline hydrazine-linked three-dimensional（3D） covalent organic framework, USTB-17, was fabricated from the reaction between 12-connected building block and 4-connected 3,5,7-tetrakis（4-aldophenyl）-adamantane. Post-modification with Ni2+affords the metallic framework USTB-17（Ni）followed by sequential deposition of the CH3NH2PbI3（MAPbI3） perovskite QDs into its pores, generating the USTB-17（Ni）@MAPbI3composite. Powder X-ray diffraction analysis together with theoretical simulations and transmission electron microscopy discloses the crystalline nature of USTB-17, USTB-17（Ni）, and USTB-17（Ni）@MAPbI3with an unprecedented noninterpenetrated hpt topology. The close contact of QDs inside the COF pores with the Ni catalytic site locating at the pore surface of COF allows a rapid transfer of the photogenerated electrons in QDs to the Ni catalytic sites, enhancing the photocatalytic activity for CO2reduction. This endows USTB-17（Ni）@MAPbI3with efficient photocatalysis performance for photocatalytic CO2reduction with CO generation rate of 365 μmol g-1h-1and CO selectivity up to 96% under visible-light irradiation, 7 times higher than that of USTB-17（Ni）. After four cycles of reactions, the photocatalytic CO generation rate remains almost unchanged, demonstrating its excellent cycle stability.

Background:Immune checkpoint inhibitors play an important role in the treatment of solid tumors,but the currently used immune checkpoint inhibitors targeting programmed cell death-1(PD-1),programmed cell death ligand-1(PD-L1),and cytotoxic T-lymphocyte antigen-4(CTLA-4)show limited clinical efficacy in many breast cancers.B7H3 has been widely reported as an immunosuppressive molecule,but its immunological function in breast cancer patients remains ***:We analyzed the expression of B7H3 in breast cancer samples using data from the Cancer Genome Atlas Program(TCGA)and the Gene Expression Omnibus(GEO)*** were selected using the TarBase,miRTarBase,and miRBase *** regulatory role of the microRNA hsa-miR-214-3p on B7H3 was investigated through dual-luciferase reporter assays,which identified the specific action sites of *** expression levels of B7H3 and hsa-miR-214-3p in human breast cancer tissues and adjacent normal tissues were quantified using Western blotting and quantitative PCR(qPCR).In vitro experiments were performed to observe the effects of modulating the expression of B7H3 or hsa-miR-214-3p on breast cancer cell proliferation and ***,the regulatory impact of hsa-miR-214-3p on B7H3 was ***-linked immunosorbent assays(ELISA)and flow cytometry were employed to assess the effects of co-cultured breast cancer cells and normal human peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs)on immune cells and associated ***:In breast cancer tissues,the expression level of B7H3 is inversely correlated with that of hsa-miR-214-3p,as well as with the regulatory effects on breast cancercell ***-miR-214-3p was found to inhibit breast cancer cell growth by downregulating ***,our research identified,for the first time,two binding sites for hsa-miR-214-3p on the 3’UTR of B7H3,both of which exert similar effects ***-culture experiments revealed that hsamiR-214-3p

On the new exact traveling wave solutions of the time-space fractional strain wave equation in microstructured solids via the variational method

In this paper,we mainly study the time-space fractional strain wave equation in microstructured ***’s variational method,combined with the two-scale transform are implemented to seek the solitary and periodic wave solutions of the time-space strain wave *** main advantage of the variational method is that it can reduce the order of the differential equation,thus simplifying the equation,making the solving process more intuitive and avoiding the tedious solving ***,the numerical results are shown in the form of 3D and 2D graphs to prove the applicability and effectiveness of the *** obtained results in this work are expected to shed a bright light on the study of fractional nonlinear partial differential equations in physics.

Precipitation of α-Fe from Fe_(84-x)Si_(4)B_(12+x)(x=1,3) Amorphous Alloys Under High Magnetic Field Annealing

This work aims to investigate the effects of high magnetic field annealing(HMFA) on the precipitation of α-Fe from Fe_(84-x)Si_(4)B_(12+ x)( x = 1, 3) amorphous precursors. Isothermal annealing process for Fe_(81)Si_(4)B_(15) and Fe_(83)Si_(4)B_(13) amorphous ribbons has been performed with and without the magnetic field. The magnetic field shows the effects of increasing the nucleation rate and decreasing the grain size of α-Fe crystals simultaneously, during the crystallization processes of the investigated amorphous alloys. By applying HMF, α-Fe crystals with more homogeneous distribution and smaller grain size are achieved in the amorphous matrix, which is crucial helpful to improve the magnetic properties for Fe–Si–B amorphous alloys. The mechanism of HMFA affecting the crystallization microstructure is also discussed in the present work.

“Relay-mode”promoting permeation of water-based fire extinguishing agent in granular materials porous media stacks

Water-based fire extinguishing agent is the main means to deal with smoldering ***,due to the hydrophobic properties of the particle surface,the porous medium channel provide resistance and slow down the extinguishing agent flow during the downward permeation *** promote the liquid permeation process in such porous media,this work studied liquid imbibition process and analyzed the oscillating and attenuating process of liquid level in capillary channel by theoretical,experimental,and numerical *** empirical mathematical equation was proposed to describe the oscillating process,and the effects of the capillary diameter and contact angle parameters on the transportation process were *** on this,the“relay-mode”was proposed to promote the liquid transportation ***,the transient simulation results of liquid permeation in coal stacks showed when the liquid flowed through the channel with changed diameter from large to small ones,the transportation distance was several times longer than that through the unidiameter *** trend of liquid“relay-mode”in capillaries can be used to promote the permeation in granular materials porous media *** relevant results also provide new thoughts to develop the water-based fire extinguishing agents and then improve the firefighting efficiency of deep-seated fire in porous media stacks.

Effects of supply air temperature and inlet location on particle dispersion in displacement ventilation rooms

The effects of supply temperature and vertical location of inlet air on particle dispersion in a displacement ventilated （DV） room were numerically modeled with validation by experimental data from the literature. The results indicate that the temperature and vertical location of inlet supply air did not greatly affect the air distribution in the upper parts of a DV room, but could significantly influence the airflow pattern in the lower parts of the room, thus affecting the indoor air quality with contaminant sources located at the lower level, such as particles from working activities in an office. The numerical results also show that the inlet location would slightly influence the relative ventilation efficiency for the same air supply volume, but particle concentration in the breathing zone would be slightly lower with a low horizontal wall slot than a rectangular diffuser. Comparison of the results for two different supply temperatures in a DV room shows that, although lower supply temperature means less incoming air volume, since the indoor flow is mainly driven by buoyancy, lower supply temperature air could more efficiently remove passive sources （such as particles released from work activities in an office）. However, in the breathing zone it gives higher concentration as compared to higher supply air temperature. To obtain good indoor air quality, low supply air temperature should be avoided because concentration in the breathing zone has a stronger and more direct impact on human health.

Impact of preparation conditions on hydrogen storage performance of metallic Ti-doped NaAlH_4

Contrary to the popular opinion, it has been found that metallic Ti powder can be directly utilized as dopant precursor to prepare catalytically enhanced NaAlH4 through mechanical milling. As a novel method for preparation of catalytically enhanced NaAlH4, direct metallic Ti-doping possesses practical advantage over the state-of-the-art doping technology: elimination of the inactive by-products and the gas impurities that are highly detrimental to fuel cell operation. A systematic investigation along this new approach was performed under various preparation conditions, including different starting materials, milling atmosphere and milling time. The materials thus prepared under different conditions were found to share some common features, while at the meantime, differ significantly from each other on hydrogen storage performance. A comprehensive understanding of these results provides valuable insight into a series of fundamental questions in catalytically enhanced Ti-NaAlH4 system.
