Using NH_(2)-MIL-125(Ti)for efficient removal of Cr(Ⅵ)and Rh B from aqueous solutions:Competitive and cooperative behavior in the binary system

The coexistence of inorganic and organic contaminants is a challenge for real-life water treatment applications.Therefore,in this research,we used NH_2-MIL-125(Ti)to evaluate the single adsorption of hexavalent chromium(Cr(Ⅵ))or Rhodamine B(RhB)in an aqueous solution and further investigate simultaneous adsorption experiments to compare the adsorption behavior changes.The main influencing factors,for example,reaction time,initial concentration,reaction temperature,and pH were studied in detail.In all reaction systems,the pseudo-second-order kinetic and Langmuir isotherm models were well illuminated the adsorption progress of Cr(Ⅵ)and RhB.Thermodynamic studies showed that the adsorption process was spontaneous and endothermic.As compared to the single system,the adsorption capacity of Cr(Ⅵ)in the binary system gradually decreased as the additive amount of RhB increased,whereas the adsorption capacity of RhB in the binary system was expanded brilliantly.When the binary reaction system contained 100 mg/L Cr(Ⅵ),the removal rate of RhB increased to 97.58%.The formation of Cr(Ⅵ)-RhB and Cr(Ⅲ)-RhB complexes was the cause that provided facilitation for the adsorption of RhB.These findings prove that the interactions during the water treatment process between contaminants may obtain additional benefits,contributing to a better adsorption capacity of co-existing contaminant.

A Comprehensive Overview of CFN From a Commonsense Perspective

Chinese FrameNet(CFN)is a scenario commonsense knowledge base(CKB)that plays an important role in research on Chinese language understanding.It is based on the theory of frame semantics and English FrameNet(FN).The CFN knowledge base contains a wealth of scenario commonsense knowledge,including frames,frame elements,and frame relations,as well as annotated instances with rich scenario-related labels on Chinese sentences and discourses.In this paper,we conduct a comprehensive overview of CFN from a commonsense perspective,covering topics such as scenario commonsense representation,CFN resources,and its applications.We also summarize recent breakthroughs and identify future research directions.First,we introduce the concept of scenario commonsense,including its definitions,examples,and representation methods,with a focus on the relationship between scenario commonsense and the frame concept in CFN.In addition,we provide a comprehensive overview of CFN resources and their applications,highlighting the newly proposed frame-based discourse representation and a human-machine collaboration framework for expanding the CFN corpus.Furthermore,we explore emerging topics such as expanding the CFN resource,improving the interpretability of machine reading comprehension,and using scenario CKBs for text generation.

The homogeneity-breaking instability of the periodic solutions triggered by Hopf bifurcations of a diffusive Gierer-Meinhart system is studied in this paper.Sufficient conditions on the diffusion coefficients and the cross diffusion coefficients were derived to guarantee the occurrence of the aforementioned homogeneity-breaking instability.

Differential metabolite analysis of the pharmacodynamic differences between different ratios of Dahuang(Radix Et Rhizoma Rhei Palmati)-Taoren(Semen Persicae) herb pair

OBJECTIVE: To explore the material basis of the difference of efficacy of Dahuang(Radix Et Rhizoma Rhei Palmati)-Taoren(Semen Persicae)(DT) drugs with different proportions. METHODS: Samples of different ratios of Dahuang(Radix et Rhizoma Rhei Palnati, DH) to Taoren(Semen Persicae, TR)(Group A 1∶1, B 2∶3, C 3∶2) were analyzed based on gas chromatography time-of-flight mass spectrometry untargeted metabolomics technique. RESULTS: A total of 240 primary metabolites were detected. Forty-one differential metabolites involved nine differential metabolic pathways, of which four were closely related to the efficacy of DT in the treatment of heat and blood stasis syndrome. These pathways included the biosynthesis of amino acid(phenylalanine tyrosine and tryptophan), flavonoids, unsaturated fatty acids, and the glycolysis/glycogenesis pathway. CONCLUSION: There are significant differences in the efficacy of different ratios of DT drugs, and their optimal ratio for the treatment of heat and blood stasis syndrome should be 1∶1.

Knowledge of the function of growth-regulating factors(GRFs)in sugarcane(Saccharum officinarum and S.spontaneum)growth and development could assist breeders in selecting desirable plant architectures.However,limited information about GRFs is available in Saccharum due to their polyploidy.In this study,22 GRFs were identified in the two species and their conserved domains,gene structures,chromosome location,and synteny were characterized.GRF7 expression varied among tissues and responded to diurnal rhythm.SsGRF7-YFP was localized preferentially in the nucleus and appears to act as a transcriptional cofactor.SsGRF7 positively regulated the size and length of rice leaves,possibly by regulating cell size and plant hormones.Of seven potential transcription factors binding to the SsGRF7 promoter in S.spontaneum,four showed positive expression patterns,and two showed negative expression patterns relative to SsGRF7.

Targeting LTA4H facilitates the reshaping of the immune microenvironment mediated by CCL5 and sensitizes ovarian cancer to Cisplatin

Ovarian cancer is the most lethal and aggressive gynecological cancer with a high recurrence rate and is often diagnosed late.In ovarian cancer,multiple metabolic enzymes of lipid metabolism are abnormally expressed,resulting in metabolism disorder.As a characteristic pathway in polyunsaturated fatty acid(PUFA)metabolism,arachidonic acid(AA)metabolism is disturbed in ovarian cancer.Therefore,we established a 10-gene signature model to evaluate the prognostic risk of PUFA-related genes.This 10-gene signature has strong robustness and can play a stable predictive role in datasets of various platforms(TCGA,ICGC,and GSE17260).The high association between the risk subgroups and clinical characteristics indicated a good performance of the model.Our data further indicated that the high expression of LTA4H was positively correlated with poor prognosis in ovarian cancer.Deficiency of LTA4H enhanced sensitivity to Cisplatin and modified the characteristics of immune cell infiltration in ovarian cancer.Additionally,our results indicate that CCL5 was involved in the aberrant metabolism of the AA/LTA4H axis,which contributes to the reduction of tumor-infiltrating CD8+T cells and immune escape in ovarian cancer.These findings provide new insights into the prognosis and potential target of LTA4H/CCL5 in treating ovarian cancer.

New Problems of Boiler Corrosion after Coupling Combustion of Coal and Biomass and Anti-Corrosion Technologies

This study explores the corrosion issues arising from the coupled combustion of coal and biomass and proposes potential solutions.Biomass,as a renewable energy source,offers advantages in energy-saving and carbon reduction.However,the corrosive effects of alkali metal compounds,sulfur(S)and chlorine(Cl)elements in the ash after combustion cannot be underestimated due to the high volatile content of biomass fuels.We investigate the corrosion mechanisms,as well as the transfer of Cl and alkali metal elements during this process.Comparative corrosion analyses are conducted among coal-fired boilers,pure biomass boilers and boilers with coupled combustion.Various biomass types in co-firing are studied to understand different corrosion outcomes.The main factors influencing corrosion include the physicochemical properties of biomass feedstock,furnace temperature and heating surface materials,with the chemical composition and ash content of biomass playing a dominant role.Currently,the methods used for anti-corrosion include water washing pretreatment of biomass feedstock,application of novel alloys and coatings and the development of additives to inhibit fouling,ash deposition and corrosion.Efficient inhibitors are economical and easy to produce.Additionally,biomass can be converted into biomass gasification gas,although challenges related to tar still need to be addressed.

Study on the Application Effect of Flexible Nursing Care in Patients with Postpartum Urinary Retention and its Effect on Lactation

Objective: To study the application effect of flexible nursing in patients with postpartum urinary retention and its effect on lactation. Methods: A total of 200 cases of postpartum urinary retention patients admitted between January 2021 and January 2022 were selected and randomly grouped into two groups, a control group (conventional nursing) and an observation group (flexible nursing), of 100 cases each. The time of onset of lactation, the lactation volume score, urinary indicators, the amount of post-partum hemorrhage, and the quality of life score of the two groups were compared. Results: The observation group’s lactation initiation time (21.41 ± 1.52) h and lactation volume score (2.11 ± 0.52) were better than that of the control group (P < 0.05). The observation group’s first urination time (2.11 ± 0.51) min was lower than the control group, while the urinary retention completely relieved time (33.12 ± 8.61) h, and first urinary volume (262.17 ± 52.41) mL was higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05). The amount of postpartum hemorrhage in the observation group (151.21 ± 22.12) mL was less than that in the control group (P < 0.05). The scores of somatic functioning (86.25 ± 2.20), psychological functioning (91.56 ± 1.45), social functioning (89.25 ± 2.45), and material life (89.75 ± 1.45) of the observation group were higher than those of the control group after nursing (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Flexible nursing care in patients with postpartum urinary retention exhibited significant nursing effects and lactation function was effectively improved.

T-box transcription factor T(TBXT;T)is required for mesodermal formation and axial skeletal development.Although it has been extensively studied in various model organisms,human congenital vertebral malformations(CVMs)involving T are not well established.Here,we report a family with 15 CVM patients distributed across 4 generations.All affected individuals carry a heterozygous mutation,T c.596A>G(p.Q199R),which is not found in unaffected family members,indicating co-segregation of the genotype and phenotype.In vitro assays show that T p.Q199R increases the nucleocytoplasmic ratio and enhances its DNA-binding affinity,but reduces its transcriptional activity compared to the wild-type.To determine the pathogenicity of this mutation in vivo,we generated a Q199R knock-in mouse model that recapitulates the human CVM phenotype.Most heterozygous Q199R mice show subtle kinked or shortened tails,while homozygous mice exhibit tail filaments and severe vertebral deformities.Overall,we show that the Q199R mutation in T causes CVM in humans and mice,providing previously unreported evidence supporting the function of T in the genetic etiology of human CVM.
