In this study,we aim to contribute an understanding of the pathway of formation of Fe species during top-down synthesis of dispersed Fe on N-functionalized few layer graphene,widely used in *** use X-ray absorption spectroscopy to determine the electronic structure and coordination geometry of the Fe species and in situ high angle annular dark field scanning transmission electron microscopy combined with atomic resolved electron energy loss spectroscopy to localize these,identify their chemical configuration and monitor their dynamics during thermal *** show the high mobility of peripheral Fe atoms,first diffusing rapidly at the trims of the graphene layers and at temperatures as high as 573 k,diffusing from the edge planes towards in-plane locations of the graphene layers forming three-,four-coordinated metal sites and more complexes polynuclear Fe *** process occurs via bond C-C breaking which partially reduces the extension of the graphene ***,the vast majority of Fe is segregated as a metal *** dynamic interconversion depends on the structural details of the surrounding graphitic environment in which these are formed as well as the Fe loading.N species appear stabilizing isolated and polynuclear Fe species even at temperatures as high as 873 *** significance of our results lies on the fact that single Fe atoms in graphene are highly mobile and therefore a structural description of the electroactive sites as such is insufficient and more complex species might be more relevant,especially in the case of multielectron transfer *** we provide the experimental evidence of the formation of these polynuclear Fe-N sites and their structural characteristics.

Preparation of large mesoporous tin dioxide (lm-SnO_2) under various conditions was attempted by utilizing a self-assembly of a triblock copolymer,P123:(EO)_(20)(PO)_(70)(EO)_(20) or F127:(EO)_(106)(PO)_(70)(EO)_(106)(EO:ethylene oxide and PO: propylene oxide).The sensor fabricated from calcined lm-SnO_2 powder,which had been prepared by using P123 as a template,Na_2SnO_3 as a tin source,and TEOS as an additive ([TEOS]/[Na_2SnO_3]=0.5 in the precursor solution),showed the largest response to 1×10^(-3) hydrogen at 350℃among the sensors *** existence of two kinds of SnO_2 particles with different sizes (ca.100 nm and several nm in diameter) may be important to improve the hydrogen sensing properties drastically.

Organic solar cells based on copper naphthalocyanine(CuNc) and fullerene(C60) were fabricated, and their photovoltaic properties were investigated. C60 and CuNc were used as n-type and p-type semiconductors, respectively. In addition, the effect of Au nanoparticle addition on a hole transfer layer was investigated, and the power conversion efficiency of the devices was improved after blending the Au nanoparticles into the hole transport layer. Nanostructures of Au nanoparticles were investigated by transmission electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction. Energy levels of molecules were calculated by molecular orbital calculations, and the nanostructure and electronic properties were discussed.& 2014 Chinese Materials Research Society. In response to the ratio of available carbon （C） and nitrogen （N） nutrients, plants regulate their metabolism, growth, and development, a process called the C/N-nutrient response. However, the molecular basis of C/N-nutrient signaling remains largely unclear. In this study, we identified three CALCINEURIN B-LIkE （CBL）-INTERACTING PROTEIN kINASES （CIPks）, CIPk7, CIPk12, and CIPk14, as key regulators of the C/N-nutrient response during the post-germination growth in Arabidopsis. Single-knockout mutants of ClPk7, CIPk12, and CIPk14 showed hypersensitivity to high C/low N conditions, which was enhanced in their triple-knockout mutant, indicating that they play a negative role and at least partly function redun- dantly in the C/N-nutrient response. Moreover, these CIPks were found to regulate the function of ATL31, a ubiquitin ligase involved in the C/N-nutrient response via the phosphorylation-dependent ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation of 14-3-3 proteins. CIPk7, CIPk12, and CIPk14 physically interacted with ATL31, and CIPk14, acting with CBL8, directly phosphorylated ATL31 in a Ca2＋-dependent manner. Further analyses showed that these CIPks are required for ATL31 phosphorylation and stabilization, which medi- ates the degradation of 14-3-3 proteins in response to C/N-nutrient conditions. In many clinical studies,laparoscopic surgery(LS) for colon cancer has been shown to be less invasive than open surgery(OS) while maintaining similar ***,there are no significant differences between LS and OS in long-term ***,LS has been accepted as one of the standard treatments for colon *** the treatments of rectal cancer as well,LS has achieved favorable outcomes,with many reports showing long-term outcomes comparable to those of ***,the magnification in laparoscopy improves visualization in the pelvic cavity and facilitates precise manipulation,as well as providing excellent educational *** these reasons,rectal cancer has seemed to be well indicated for LS,as has been colon *** indication for LS in the treatment of locally advanced rectal cancer,which is relatively unresectable(e.g.,cancer invading other organs),remains an open *** recent years,new techniques such as singleport and robotic surgery have begun to be introduced for ***,various clinical studies in our country as well as in most Western countries have demonstrated that LS,with these new techniques,are gradually showing long-term outcomes.

Fabrication and characterization of TiO2-based dye-sensitized solar cells

AIM To verify the current status of super-extended lymph node dissection for advanced gastric cancer according to a questionnaire *** One-hundred and five institutions responded to the *** survey included the following items: Number of experiences,whether performed prophylactically and/or therapeutically,whether preoperative chemotherapy was provided,number of preoperative chemotherapy rounds,and therapeutic options after *** Eighty-seven of the 105 institutions(83%) had performed D3 gastrectomy in the past or continued to perform D3 gastrectomy at ***,D3 gastrectomy was rarely performed prophylactically in clinical ***-eight institutions(74%) indicated that preoperative chemotherapy with curative intent was required for patients suspected of having para-aortic node(PAN) *** chemotherapy,a D3 gastrectomy was scheduled for patients with a complete or partial response,stable disease,and progressive disease at 36(46%),28(36%),and 13(17%) of the institutions,*** For patients with apparent PAN metastasis,a D3 gastrectomy is typically planned if a few courses of preoperative chemotherapy yield at least a stable disease condition.

We investigated the effects of integrated organic and inorganic fertilizers on the growth and yield of indica rice variety Manawthukha and japonica rice variety *** a split-plot design,the two rice varieties were assigned as main plot factors,and the integrated treatments were the subplot factors,including no-N fertilizer(N0),50%chemical fertilizer(CF)(CF50),100%CF(CF100),50%CF+50%poultry manure(PM)(CF50PM50),50%CF+50%cow manure(CM)(CF50CM50),and 50%CF+50%compost(CP)(CF50CP50).CF100 was equivalent to N at 85 kg/*** was applied based on the estimated mineralizable nitrogen(EMN)level,which is dependent on total N(%)of each manure *** rice plants were taller with higher tiller number and dry matter ***,higher soil-plant analysis development(SPAD)values were measured in Genkitsukushi throughout the crop growth period,resulting in higher seed-setting rate(%)and greater *** the same N level,CF50PM50 application in both rice varieties resulted in higher SPAD values,plant height and tiller number than ***50PM50 containing total N more than 4%supplied synchronized N for the demands of the rice plants,resulting in maximum dry matter,yield and yield ***50CM50 and CF50CP50 treatments containing total N less than 4%resulted in lower yields which were similar to *** results indicated that integrating organic and inorganic fertilizers enhanced growth parameters and yields of Manawthukha and Genkitsukushi,while reducing the dose of chemical fertilizer.
