Polychelates of Mn（Ⅱ）, Fe（Ⅱ）, Co（Ⅱ）, Ni（Ⅱ）, Cu（Ⅱ）, Zn（Ⅱ） and Cd（Ⅱ） with the bis salen-type ligand derived from 4,4＇-bis[（salicylaldehyde-5）azo]biphenyl and 1,4-diaminobutane have been synthesized. All the polychelalls have been characllrized by elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility measurements, IR, electronic spectra and thennogravirncuic studies. All the complexes isolated in solid stall are dark coloured and insoluble in water and common organic solvents. The ligand behaves as a bis-bidentall molecule coordinating through the phenolic oxygen and azomethine nitrogen atoms. The thermal decomposition of these metal complexes was investigated by thermogravimetric analysis and data have been analyzed for kinetic parameters using Broido equation. The solid-state electrical conductivity of the ligand and its polychelalls in the form of compressed pellet was studied in the temperaturc range from 313 to 413 k All the polychelalls were found to show semiconducting nature. The Mn（Ⅱ）, Fe（Ⅱ）, Co（Ⅱ） and Ni（Ⅱ） polychelalls have been assessed for the catalytic epoxidation of styrene.

Osteonecrosis(ON) is caused by inadequate blood supply leading to bone death, which results in the collapse of the architectural bony structure. Femoral head is the most common site involved in ON. Magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) is a commonly used imaging modality to detect early ON. When MRI is inconclusive, bone scan is helpful in detecting ON during early phase of the disease. As newer nuclear medicine equipment, like single photon emission computed tomography/computed tomography(CT) and positron emission tomography/CT, are emerging in medical science, we review the role of these imaging modalities in ON of femoral head.

The present study reported the effect of filler metals on the microstructure and mechanical properties of pulsed current gas tungsten arc-welded Inconel 718 plates. Two different filler metals such as ERNiCr-3 and ERNiCrMo-4 were employed for welding Inconel 718. The primary objective of this study is to suppress or eradicate the deleterious phase such as Laves or δ （delta） which is considered to be detrimental to the weld properties. Microstructure examination corroborated the presence of unmixed zone at the HAZ for both the weldments. Tensile test trials envisaged that ERNiCrMo-4 weldments offered better tensile properties compared to ERNiCr-3 weldments, whereas the impact toughness was found to be better for ERNiCr-3 weldments. Line mapping analysis was carried out to study the elemental migration across the weldments. The structure-property relationships of the weldments were arrived at using the combined tech- niques of optical and scanning electron microscopy. Optical and sEM/EDAX analysis showed that there is no prominent occurrence of deleterious phases at the weld zone on employing these filler metals.

In this paper, the effect of adding an antiox- idant mixture in Jatropha biodiesel as fuel, in a single cylinder, direct injection compression ignition engine was experimentally investigated and the level of pollutants in the exhaust and performance characteristics of the engine were analyzed. Nine test fuels were prepared with three antioxidants, namely, suecinimide （C4H5NO2）, N,N-dimethyl-p-phenylenediamine-dihydrochloride （C8H14C12N2）, and N-phenyl-p-phenylenediamine （C6H5NHC6H4NH2） added to neat biodiesel at 500 parts per million （ppm）, 1000ppm and 2000ppm and the observed experimental results were compared with those of neat biodiese! and neat diesel as base fuels. The comparison showed that NO emission was reduced drastically for the test fuels with the antioxidant addition of 2000ppm. The maximum reduction of 10% of NO emission was observed for the antioxidant mixture in neat biodiesel, with a slight increase in unburned HC, CO and smoke opacity. In addition, the obtained experimental results reveal that the addition of two antioxidants as mixture in neat biodiesel caused improved NO emission reduction for all test fuels.

Amyotrophi c lateral s c lerosis(ALs)and frontotemporal dementia(FTD)are two closely related disorders with overlapping clinical,genetic,and neuropathological features,forming a continuous disease spectrum(Ling et al.,2013).The major pathological hallmark of ALs and FTD are the depletion from the nucleus of the RNA-binding proteins TAR DNA‐binding protein 43(TDP-43)and FUsed in sarcoma(FUs)and their abnormal accumulation in ubiquitin-positive cytoplasmic inclusions(Ling et al.,2013).

The prediction of mild cognitive impairment or Alzheimer’s disease(AD)has gained the attention of huge researchers as the disease occurrence is increasing,and there is a need for earlier ***,due to the highdimensionality nature of neural data and the least available samples,modelling an efficient computer diagnostic system is highly *** approaches,specifically deep learning approaches,are essential in disease *** Learning(DL)approaches are successfully demonstrated for their higher-level performance in various fields like medical imaging.A novel 3D-Convolutional Neural Network(3D-CNN)architecture is proposed to predict AD with Magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)*** proposed model predicts the AD occurrence while the existing approaches lack prediction accuracy and perform binary *** proposed prediction model is validated using the Alzheimer’s disease Neuro-Imaging Initiative(ADNI)*** outcomes demonstrate that the anticipated model attains superior prediction accuracy and works better than the brain-image dataset’s general *** predicted model reduces the human effort during the prediction process and makes it easier to diagnose it intelligently as the feature learning is ***’experimentation is carried out,and the model’s superiority is compared with various advanced approaches for multi-level *** proposed model gives better prediction accuracy,precision,recall,and F-measure than other systems like Long short Term Memory-Recurrent Neural Networks(LsTM-RNN),stacked Autoencoder with Deep Neural Networks(sAE-DNN),Deep Convolutional Neural Networks(D-CNN),Two Dimensional Convolutional Neural Networks(2D-CNN),Inception-V4,ResNet,and Two Dimensional Convolutional Neural Networks(3D-CNN).

This study evaluates the effectiveness of phase change materials(PCMs) inside a storage tank of warm water for solar water heating(sWH) system through the theoretical simulation based on the experimental model of *** et *** model is explained by five fundamental equations for the calculation of various parameters like the effectiveness of PCMs,the mass of hot water,total heat content,and duration of *** study simulated eleven PCMs to analyze their effectiveness like sodium hydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate(sHPD),OM 37,N-Eicosane(NE),Lauric acid(LA),Paraffin wax(PW),OM 48,Paraffin wax C_(20-33)(PW-C20-33),sodium acetate trihydrate(sAT),Palmitic acid(PA),Myristic acid(MA),and stearic acid(sA).Among all PCMs,the sHPD has found the highest value of effectiveness factor of ***,it is the most recommended PCM for the storage tank of the sWH *** study also includes the melt fraction analysis of all enumerated PCMs corresponding to container materials of stainless steel,glass,aluminum mixed,tin,aluminum,and *** melt fraction analysis is performed by making a coding program in the FORTRAN programming *** the analysis,copper container material is found to have high melting rate for all PCMs so it is superior to other container materials.

Objective: To evaluate the comparative effects of fenugreek(Trigonel a foenum graecum) seed extract(FsE) alone and in combination with an antidiabetic conventional medicine,glibenclamide(GLB),on the inhibition of in vitro lipid peroxidation(LPO) in liver,the major target organ of a ***: LPO was induced by ferrous sulphate(Fe so4),hydrogen peroxide(H2 O2) and carbon tetrachloride(CCl4) and the effects of test seed extract and/or GLB were ***: While Fe so4,H2 O2 and CCl4 markedly enhanced the hepatic LPO,simultaneous administration of FsE reduced it in a concentration dependent ***,when both FsE and GLB were added to the incubation mixture,chemical y induced hepatic LPO was further *** test extract also exhibited high antioxidative activity in 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl radical and in 2,2'-azino-bis,3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulphonic acid radical scavenging ***: FsE therapy in moderate concentration along with a hypoglycemic drug may prove to be advantageous in ameliorating diabetes mel itus and other diseases that are LPO mediated.

Objective:To evaluate the anti-hyperlipidemic activity of lemongrass oil against in dexamethasone induced hyperlipidemia in ***:Administration of dexamethasone was given at 10 mg/kg,*** the adult rats for 8 d induces hyperlipidemia characterized by marked increase in serum cholesterol and triglyceride levels along with increase in atherogenic ***:Lemongrass oil(100 and 200 mg/kg,po.) treatment has showed significant inhibition against dexamethasone hyperlipidemia by maintaining the serum levels of cholesterol, triglycerides and atherogenic index near to the normal levels and the antihyperlipidemic effect of the lemongross oil was comparable with atorvastatin 10 mg/kg,*** possible mechanism may be associated with decrease in lecithin cholesterol acetyl transferase(LCAT) ***:These results suggested that Lemon gross oil possess significant antihyperlipidemic activity.
