Inflammatory bowel disease(IBD),consisting primarily of ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease,is a group of debilitating auto-immune disorders,which also increases the risk of colitis-associated ***,due to the chronic nature of the disease and inconsistent treatment outcomes of current anti-IBD drugs(e.g.,approximately 30%non-responders to anti-TNFαagents),and related serious side effects,about half of all IBD patients(in millions)turn to alternative treatment *** this regard,mucosal healing is gaining acceptance as a measure of disease activity in IBD patients as recent studies have correlated the success of mucosal healing with improved ***,despite the increasing clinical realization of the significance of the concept of mucosal healing,its regulation and means of therapeutic targeting remain largely ***,stemcell therapy,which uses hematopoietic stem cells or mesenchymal stem cells,remains a promising *** cells are the pluripotent cells with ability to differentiate into the epithelial and/or immune-modulatory *** overreaching concept is that the stem cells can migrate to the damaged areas of the intestine to provide curative help in the mucosal healing ***,by differentiating into the mature intestinal epithelial cells,the stem cells also help in restoring the barrier integrity of the intestinal lining and hence prevent the immunomodulatory induction,the root cause of the *** this article,we elaborate upon the current status of the clinical management of IBD and potential role of the stem cell therapy in improving IBD therapy and patient’s quality of life.

Arthropod-borne diseases such as malaria and dengue virus afflict billions of people worldwide imposing major economic and social *** of such pathogens is mainly performed by vector management and treatment of affected individuals with *** failure of these conventional approaches due to emergence of insecticide-resistant insects and drug-resistant parasites demonstrate the need of novel and efficacious control strategies to combat these *** modification(GM) of mosquito vectors to impair their ability to be infected and transmit pathogens has emerged as a new strategy to reduce transmission of many vector-borne diseases and deliver public health *** advances in developing transgenic mosquitoes unable to transmit pathogens have gained support,some of them attempt to manipulate the naturally occurring endogenous refractory mechanisms,while others initiate the identification of an exogenous foreign gene which disrupt the pathogen development in insect vectors. Heterologous expression of transgenes under a native or heterologous promoter is important for the screening and effecting of the transgenic *** effect of the transgene on mosquito fitness is a crucial parameter influencing the success of this transgenic *** review examines these two aspects and describes the basic research work that has been accomplished towards understanding the complex relation between the parasite and its vector and focuses on recent advances and perspectives towards construction of transgenic mosquitoes refractory to vector-borne disease transmission.

Breast cancer detection heavily relies on medical imaging, particularly ultrasound, for early diagnosis and effectivetreatment. This research addresses the challenges associated with computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) of breastcancer fromultrasound images. The primary challenge is accurately distinguishing between malignant and benigntumors, complicated by factors such as speckle noise, variable image quality, and the need for precise segmentationand classification. The main objective of the research paper is to develop an advanced methodology for breastultrasound image classification, focusing on speckle noise reduction, precise segmentation, feature extraction, andmachine learning-based classification. A unique approach is introduced that combines Enhanced speckle ReducedAnisotropic Diffusion (sRAD) filters for speckle noise reduction, U-NET-based segmentation, Genetic Algorithm(GA)-based feature selection, and Random Forest and Bagging Tree classifiers, resulting in a novel and efficientmodel. To test and validate the hybrid model, rigorous experimentations were performed and results state thatthe proposed hybrid model achieved accuracy rate of 99.9%, outperforming other existing techniques, and alsosignificantly reducing computational time. This enhanced accuracy, along with improved sensitivity and specificity,makes the proposed hybrid model a valuable addition to CAD systems in breast cancer diagnosis, ultimatelyenhancing diagnostic accuracy in clinical applications.

Nadi Yantra: a robust system design to capture the signals from the radial artery for assessment of the autonomic nervous system non-invasively

Ayurvedic and other alternative medical practi-tioners throughout the world have been using pulse diagnosis to detect disease and the organ at distress by feeling the palpations at three close yet precise positions of the radial artery. This paper presents a robust electro-mechanical system, ‘Nadi Yantra’ which uses piezoelectric based pressure sensors to capture the signals from the radial artery. Morphology of the waveforms obtained from our system concurs with standard physiological arterial signals. Reproducibility and stability of the system has been verified. signal processing techniques were applied to obtain features such as amplitude, power spectral density, bandpower and spectral centroid to reflect variations in signals from the three channels. Further, wavelet based techniques were used to process the pressure signals and percussion peaks were identified. The interval between the percussion peaks was used to calculate Heart Rate Varibility (HRV), a useful tool for assessing the status of the autonomic nervous system of the human body non-invasively. Time domain indices were calculated from direct measurement of peak-peak (PP) intervals and from differences between the PP intervals. Frequency domain indices such as very low frequency (VLF) power, low frequency (LF) power, high frequency (HF) power, LF/HF ratio were also calculated. Thereafter, nonlinear Poincare analysis was carried out. A map of consecutive PP intervals was fitted to an ellipse using least squares method. Results from 7 datasets are depicted in this paper. A novel pressure pulse recording instrument is deve loped for the objective assessment of the ancient sci-ence of pulse diagnosis. The features calculated using multi resolution wavelet analysis show potential in the evaluation of the autonomic nervous system of the human body.

Nucleobase-metal coordination polymers(CPs)have been the target of much recent research owing their interesting properties and ease of *** nucleobases are nonfluorescent,and 2-aminopurine(2AP)is a strongly fluorescent analog of *** this work,we compared the CPs formed by adenine,2AP and adenosine with various *** Au3+produced CP nanoparticles with both adenine and *** products were similar in terms of size,suggesting that the position of the exocyclic amine is unimportant for coordination with *** 2AP is fluorescent,the dissolution of the nanoparticles in the presence of various chemicals including kCN,GsH,iodide,bromide and chloride,was studied and compared to fluorescent adenosine-Au *** appears that the 2AP CP was more robust than the adenosine one since even chloride can quench the fluorescence of the adenosine/Au ***,the adenine and 2AP nanoparticles exhibited weak oxidase-like activity for oxidation of TMB possibly by the Au3+exposed on the surface.

The 3PAkE(Three-Party Authenticated key Exchange)protocol is a valuable cryptographic method that offers safe communication and permits two diverse parties to consent to a new safe meeting code using the trusted *** have been explored numerous 3PAkE protocols earlier to create a protected meeting code between users employing the trusted ***,existing modified 3PAkE protocols have numerous drawbacks and are incapable to provide desired secrecy against diverse attacks such as manin-the-middle,brute-force attacks,and many others in social *** this article,the authors proposed an improved as well as safe 3PAkE protocol based on the hash function and the symmetric encryption for the social *** authors utilized a well-acknowledged AVIsPA tool to provide security verification of the proposed 3PAkE technique,and findings show that our proposed protocol is safer in opposition to active as well as passive attacks namely the brute-force,man-in-the-middle,parallel attack,and many ***,compared to other similar schemes,the proposed protocol is built with a reduced computing cost as our proposed protocol consumes less time in execution and offers high secrecy in the social networks with improved *** a result,this verified scheme is more efficient as well as feasible for implementation in the social networks in comparison to previous security *** multifarious authors carried out extensive research on 3PAkE protocols to offer safe communication,still there are vital opportunities to explore and implement novel improved protocols for higher safety in the social networks and mobile commerce environment in the future in opposition to diverse active as well as passive attacks.
