This article discusses the synchronization problem of singular neutral complex dynamical networks(sNCDN)with distributed delay and Markovian jump parameters via pinning *** control strategies are designed to make the singular neutral complex networks *** delay-dependent synchronization criteria are derived in the form of linear matrix inequalities based on a modified Lyapunov-krasovskii functional *** applying the Lyapunov stability theory,Jensen's inequality,schur complement,and linear matrix inequality technique,some new delay-dependent conditions are derived to guarantee the stability of the ***,numerical examples are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the obtained results.

Background:Informed consent has medicolegal implications and is imperative in presentday medical *** and Objectives:The objectives of this study were to estimate the awareness regarding informed consent in interns and to determine the effectiveness of sessions in interns’orientation programs about informed *** and Methods:Pretest-Posttest study was conducted with a validated questionnaire distributed through Google Forms to interns attending the orientation program at our *** were recorded on the Likert scale(−2 to+2).Paired t-test was used to compare the mean pretest and posttest *** number of interns with a positive score(+1,+2)for every question in pretest and posttest were also ***:One hundred and seventyone out of 232 interns who attended the program submitted both pretest and posttest *** the pretest,12 interns scoreds scored more than 75%.A significant increase in posttest responses was seen in the mean score(Pstions related to consent in research,radiological investigations,regarding the need for consent in the additional nonlifesaving *** was an increase in the number of interns having a positive score(+1,+2)for all the questions in posttest as compared to pretest,but a statistically significant increase was seen in questions related to consent in ultrasound and need for consent in the additional nonlifesaving ***:A wellstructured interns’orientation program is effective in improving awareness regarding *** gaps in knowledge regarding various aspects of consent need to be emphasized.

Essentially, it is significant to supply the consumer with reliable and sufficient power. since, power quality is measured by the consistency in frequency and power flow between control areas. Thus, in a power system operation and control,automatic generation control(AGC) plays a crucial role. In this paper, multi-area(Five areas: area 1, area 2, area 3, area 4 and area 5) reheat thermal power systems are considered with proportional-integral-derivative(PID) controller as a supplementary controller. Each area in the investigated power system is equipped with appropriate governor unit, turbine with reheater unit, generator and speed regulator unit. The PID controller parameters are optimized by considering nature bio-inspired firefly algorithm(FFA). The experimental results demonstrated the comparison of the proposed system performance(FFA-PID)with optimized PID controller based genetic algorithm(GAPID) and particle swarm optimization(PsO) technique(PsOPID) for the same investigated power system. The results proved the efficiency of employing the integral time absolute error(ITAE) cost function with one percent step load perturbation(1 % sLP) in area 1. The proposed system based FFA achieved the least settling time compared to using the GA or the PsO algorithms, while, it attained good results with respect to the peak overshoot/undershoot. In addition, the FFA performance is improved with the increased number of iterations which outperformed the other optimization algorithms based controller.

Tubulovillous adenoma of anal canal: A case report

Tumors arising from the anal canal are usually of epithelial origin and are mostly squamous cell carcinoma or basal cell carcinoma. We present a case of benign anal adenomas arising from the anus, an extremely rare diagnosis. A 78-year-old white man presented with rectal bleeding of several months duration. Examination revealed a 4 cm friable mass attached to the anus by a stalk. At surgery, the mass was grasped with a Babcock forceps and was resected using electrocautery. Microscopic examination revealed a tubulovillus adenoma with no areas of high grade dysplasia or malignant transformation. The squamocolumnar junction was visible at the edges of the lesion confirming the anal origin of the tumor. We believe the tubulovillus adenoma arose from either an anal gland or its duct that opens into the anus. Although seen rarely, it is important to recognize and treat these tumors at an early stage because of their potential to transform into adenocarcinoma.

In this paper, we deal with nonlinear ill-posed problems involving m-accretive mappings in Banach spaces. We consider a derivative and inverse free method for the imple- mentation of Lavrentiev regularization method. Using general Hslder type source condition we obtain an optimal order error estimate. Also we consider the adaptive parameter choice strategy proposed by Pereverzev and schock （2005） for choosing the regularization parameter.

In this study, sU-8 and its composites are fabricated by blending 10 wt.% hexagonal boron nitride(h-BN) fillers with/without lubricants, such as 10 wt.% base oil(sN150) and 20 wt.% perfluoropolyether(PFPE). The thickness of sU-8 and its composites coating is fabricated in the range ~100–105 μm. Further, sU-8 and its composites are characterized by a 3D optical profilometer, atomic force microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, a thermal gravimetric analyzer, a goniometer, a hardness tester, and an optical microscope. Under a tribology test performed at different normal loads of 2, 4, and 6 N and at a constant sliding speed of 0.28 m/s, the reduction in the initial and steady-state coefficient of friction is obtained to be ~0.08 and ~0.098, respectively, in comparison to sU-8(~0.42 and ~0.75), and the wear resistance is enhanced by more than 103 times that of pure sU-8. Moreover, the thermal stability is improved by ~80–120 ℃, and the hardness and elastic modulus by ~3 and ~2 times that of pure sU-8, respectively. The sU-8 composite reinforced with 10 wt.% h-BN and 20 wt.% PFPE demonstrated the best thermo-mechanical and tribological properties with a nano-textured surface of high hydrophobicity.

The present study proposes a novel and simplified methodology to assess the seismic bearing capacity(sBC) of a shallow strip footing by incorporating strength non-linearity arising due to partial saturation of a soil matrix. Furthermore, developed methodology incorporates the modal response analysis of soil layers to assess sBC. A constant matric suction distribution profile has been considered throughout the depth of the soil. The Van Genuchten equation and corresponding fitting parameters have been considered to quantify matric suction in the analysis. sBC has been obtained for three different geomaterials;viz. sand, fly ash and clay, based on their predominant grain size and diverse soil water characteristics curve(sWCC) attributes. Variation of sBC with different modes of vibration and damping ratio are reported for ranges of matric suction pertinent to the geomaterials considered in the study. The relative significance of matric suction on sBC has been reported for suction values within the transition zone of each geomaterial. It is observed that the sBC of sand is drastically reduced, with matric suction reaching beyond the residual suction value. The sBC of fly ash remains constant beyond the residual suction value, whereas the sBC of clay shows an increasing trend toward the practical range of matric suction values.
