Nonmetric Traits in Permanent Teeth as Clues to Ethnicity in Vidarbha subpopulation to Aid Forensic Profiling:Pilot study

Background Globally, the cultivation of cotton is constrained by its tendency for extended periods of growth. Early maturity plays a potential role in rainfed-based multiple cropping system especially in the current era of climate change. In the current study, a set of 20 diverse Gossypium hirsutum genotypes were evaluated in two crop seasons with three planting densities and assessed for 11 morphological traits related to early maturity. The study aimed to identify genotype(s) that mature rapidly and accomplish well under diverse environmental conditions based on the two robust multivariate techniques called multi-trait stability index(MTsI) and multi-trait genotype-ideotype distance index(MGIDI).Results MTsI analysis revealed that out of the 20 genotypes, three genotypes, viz., NNDC-30, A-2, and s-32 accomplished well in terms of early maturity traits in two seasons. Furthermore, three genotypes were selected using MGIDI method for each planting densities with a selection intensity of 15%. The strengths and weaknesses of the genotypes selected based on MGIDI method highlighted that the breeders could focus on developing early-maturing genotypes with specific traits such as days to first flower and boll opening. The selected genotypes exhibited positive genetic gains for traits related to earliness and a successful harvest during the first and second pickings. However, there were negative gains for traits related to flowering and boll *** The study identified three genotypes exhibiting early maturity and accomplished well under different planting densities. The multivariate methods(MTsI and MGIDI) serve as novel approaches for selecting desired genotypes in plant breeding programs, especially across various growing environments. These methods offer exclusive benefits and can easily construe and minimize multicollinearity issues.

Objective:To prospectively follow up a cohort of anterior urethral stricture disease patients managed with balloon dilation(BD)for 3 years to evaluate the long-term outcomes and to study factors that contribute to ***:This study included men who had urethral BD for significant anterior urethral stricture disease between January 2017 and March *** about the patient age,stricture characteristics,and recurrence date were recorded,along with information on postoperative indwelling catheter use and operative ***,information about the self-calibration procedure was collected and where available,free flow(FF)measurements during the follow-up period were recorded and *** was defined as a lack of symptoms and acceptable FF rates(maximum flow rate>12 mL/s).Results:The final analysis was conducted on 187 *** mean follow-up period was 37 *** long-term overall success rate at the end of our study was 66.8%.Our recurrence rate was 7.4%at 12 months,24.7%at 24 months,and reached 33.2%at the end of our *** time to recurrence ranged from 91 days to 1635 days,with a mean of 670 *** stricture-free survival was significantly shorter with lengthy peno-bulbar(p=0.031)and multiple strictures(p=0.015),and in the group of patients who were not committed to self-calibration protocol(pst-procedural self-calibration was the most important factor that may have decreased the incidence of recurrence(odds ratioZ5.85).Adjuvant self-calibration after BD not only reduced the recurrence rate from 85.4%in the non-self-calibration group to 15.1%in the self-calibration one(pso improved the overall stricture-free survival and FF parameters.

We study the non-spherical gravitational collapse of the strange quark null fluid. The interesting feature which emerges is that the non-spherical collapse of charged strange quark matter leads to a naked singularity whereas the gravitational collapse of neutral quark matter proceeds to form a black hole. We extend the earlier work of Harko and Cheng [Phys. Lett. A 266 （2000） 249] to the non-spherical case.

We investigate the possibility of cosmic censorship violation in the gravitational collapse of radiating dyon solution. It is shown that the final outcome of the collapse depends sensitively on the electric and magnetic charge parameters. The graphs of the outer apparent horizon, inner Cauchy horizon for different values of parameters are drawn. It is found that the electric and magnetic components push the apparent horizon towards the retarded time-coordinate axis, which in turn reduces the radius of the apparent horizon in Valdya spacetime. Also, we extend the earlier work of Chamorro and Virbhadra [Pramana, J. Phys. 45 （1995） 181].

spur gears are widely used in the power transmission mechanism of several *** to the transmitted torque,spur gears experience high stresses which could cause gear tooth failure by surface pitting or root *** relief and other gear profile modification have been considered for reducing the induced stresses in the gear *** this work,the influence of tip relief on stresses on a pair of identical spur gear was analyzed using commercial FEA software ANsYs,and formulae for estimating contact and bending stresses were *** cases of gear sets were analyzed;a non-modified pair and another two sets with linear and parabolic tip relief *** non-modified gear set frictionless contact stress was validated against the calculated AGMA pitting resistance,Hertzian contact stress and a reported contact stress value in the *** four methods agreed well with each ***,bending stress was also compared with the AGMA bending strength and Lewis bending stress for ***,friction coefficient was varied from 0.0 to 0.3 with increment of *** gear contact stress increased up to 11%relative to the frictionless case,whereas bending stress decreased by 6%.Linear tip relief modification was carried out for increasing normalised tip relief values of 0.25 to 1.0 with increment of *** gear frictionless contact and bending stresses decreased by a maximum of 4%and 2%,*** contact stress increased by up to 7.1%and the bending stress is almost identical with the frictionless *** tip relief was also carried out with similar normalised tip relief *** contact stress decreased by 5%while frictional contact stress increased by up to 11.5%and the bending stress is also almost identical with the frictionless ***,four formulae were introduced for estimating the contact and bending stresses for a tip modified spur gear.
