MXene Hybridized Polymer with Enhanced Electromagnetic Energy Harvest for sensitized Microwave Actuation and self-Powered Motion sensing

Polymeric microwave actuators combining tissue-like softness with programmable microwave-responsive deformation hold great promise for mobile intelligent devices and bionic soft robots. However, their application is challenged by restricted electromagnetic sensitivity and intricate sensing coupling. In this study, a sensitized polymeric microwave actuator is fabricated by hybridizing a liquid crystal polymer with Ti3C2Tx (MXene). Compared to the initial counterpart, the hybrid polymer exhibits unique space-charge polarization and interfacial polarization, resulting in significant improvements of 230% in the dielectric loss factor and 830% in the apparent efficiency of electromagnetic energy harvest. The sensitized microwave actuation demonstrates as the shortened response time of nearly 10 s, which is merely 13% of that for the initial shape memory polymer. Moreover, the ultra-low content of MXene (up to 0.15 wt%) benefits for maintaining the actuation potential of the hybrid polymer. An innovative self-powered sensing prototype that combines driving and piezoelectric polymers is developed, which generates real-time electric potential feedback (open-circuit potential of similar to 3 mV) during actuation. The polarization-dominant energy conversion mechanism observed in the MXene-polymer hybrid structure furnishes a new approach for developing efficient electromagnetic dissipative structures and shows potential for advancing polymeric electromagnetic intelligent devices.

Enteromorpha prolifera polysaccharide-Fe(Ⅲ) complex promotes intestinal development as a new iron supplement

Iron is a crucial micronutrient, and its deficiency can have detrimental effects on the health of infants. Dietary polysaccharide-iron(Ⅲ) complexes(PICs) are promising for addressing iron deficiency due to their minimal adverse reactions and high iron absorption rate. This study aimed to investigate the effects of dietary Enteromorpha prolifera polysaccharide-Fe(Ⅲ) complex(EP-Fe) on newborns, using 3-day weaned piglets as the iron-deficiency model. Results showed that EP-Fe improved iron levels and promoted intestinal development in piglets. Transcriptome sequencing revealed that EP-Fe increased the survival of intestinal epithelial cells under hypoxia by upregulating the expression of genes that promote the development of the vascular system. Additionally, EP-Fe enhanced the mucosal barrier functions by inhibiting myosin light chain kinase(MLCk)/phosphorylated myosin light chain(p-MLC) signaling pathway to increase the expression of intestinal tight junction proteins. Furthermore, the 16s r RNA gene sequencing of gut microbiota showed that EP-Fe promoted the enrichment of Bacteroides＿fragilis and other gut microbes that can metabolize carbohydrates. In conclusion, EP-Fe is an effective iron supplement for newborns, and it can be developed as a comprehensive nutritional supplement.

Nanograting-Based Dynamic structural Colors Using Heterogeneous Materials

A 2.5-dimensional dynamic structural color based on nanogratings of heterogeneous materials was proposed by interweaving a pH-responsive hydrogel with IP-L *** nanogrid structures exhibit brilliant tuneable structural color, high sensitivity, and ultrafast recovery speeds in response to *** 4D printing-based grayscale design approach was proposed for the patterned encoding and array printing of dynamic structural colors, promoting their application in patterned printing, information encryption, and microfluidic chip sensing. Dynamic structural colors can change in response to different environmental stimuli. This ability remains effective even when the size of the species responsible for the structural color is reduced to a few micrometers, providing a promising sensing mechanism for solving microenvironmental sensing problems in micro-robotics and microfluidics. However, the lack of dynamic structural colors that can encode rapidly, easily integrate, and accurately reflect changes in physical quantities hinders their use in microscale sensing applications. Herein, we present a 2.5-dimensional dynamic structural color based on nanogratings of heterogeneous materials, which were obtained by interweaving a pH-responsive hydrogel with an IP-L photoresist. Transverse gratings printed with pH-responsive hydrogels elongated the period of longitudinal grating in the swollen state, resulting in pH-tuned structural colors at a 45 degrees incidence. Moreover, the patterned encoding and array printing of dynamic structural colors were achieved using grayscale stripe images to accurately encode the periods and heights of the nanogrid structures. Overall, dynamic structural color networks exhibit promising potential for applications in information encryption and in situ sensing for microfluidic chips.

A quantum-search-based multi-classifier for image recognition

The multi-class classification of images is a pivotal challenge within the realm of image processing. As the volume of visual data continues to expand, there is a burgeoning interest in harnessing the unique capabilities of quantum computation to augment the efficiency of classification tasks. However, many existing methods for training quantum image multi-classifiers parallel classical machine learning techniques, where the requisite circuit measurements increase linearly with the volume of training data. This work introduces a novel approach for training a quantum image multi-classifier based on the quantum search algorithm. We have meticulously conducted rigorous experiments on a handwritten digit dataset, a classic benchmark in the field. The results have been meticulously compared with previous works, and the comparative analysis not only validates the efficiency of our proposed approach, requiring only O(N/b) measurements during training, but also highlights a significant quadratic speedup of the algorithm.

sarcastic sentiment detection in tweets streamed in real time： a big data approach

sarcasm is a type of sentiment where people express their negative feelings using positive or intensified positive words in the text. While speaking, people often use heavy tonal stress and certain gestural clues like rolling of the eyes, hand movement, etc. to reveal sarcastic, In the textual data, these tonal and gestural clues are missing, making sarcasm detection very difficult for an average human. Due to these challenges, researchers show interest in sarcasm detection of social media text, especially in tweets. Rapid growth of tweets in volume and its analysis pose major challenges. In this paper, we proposed a Hadoop based framework that captures real time tweets and processes it with a set of algorithms which identifies sarcastic sentiment effectively. We observe that the elapse time for analyzing and processing under Hadoop based framework.s.gnificantly outperforms the conventional methods and is more suited for real time streaming tweets.

Regression analysis of squeezing-induced hybrid nanofluid flow in Darcy-Forchheimer porous medium

This article presents a mathematical model addressing a scenario involving a hybrid nanofluid flow between two infinite parallel plates. One plate remains stationary, while the other moves downward at a squeezing velocity. The space between these plates contains a Darcy-Forchheimer porous medium. A mixture of water-based fluid with gold(Au) and silicon dioxide(si O2) nanoparticles is formulated. In contrast to the conventional Fourier's heat flux equation, this study employs the Cattaneo-Christov heat flux equation. A uniform magnetic field is applied perpendicular to the flow direction, invoking magnetohydrodynamic(MHD) effects. Further, the model accounts for Joule heating, which is the heat generated when an electric current passes through the fluid. The problem is solved via NDsolve in MATHEMATICA. Numerical and statistical analyses are conducted to provide insights into the behavior of the nanomaterials between the parallel plates with respect to the flow, energy transport, and skin *** findings of this study have potential applications in enhancing cooling systems and optimizing thermal management strategies. It is observed that the squeezing motion generates additional pressure gradients within the fluid, which enhances the flow rate but reduces the frictional drag. Consequently, the fluid is pushed more vigorously between the plates, increasing the flow velocity. As the fluid experiences higher flow rates due to the increased squeezing effect, it spends less time in the region between the plates. The thermal relaxation, however, abruptly changes the temperature, leading to a decrease in the temperature fluctuations.

ROLE OF α-PsEUDO-UNIVEX FUNCTIONs IN VECTOR VARIATIONAL-LIkE INEQUALITY PROBLEMs

In this paper, we introduce a new class of generalized convex function, namely, a-pseudounivex function, by combining the concepts of pseudo-univex and α-invex functions. Further, we establish some relationships between vector variational-like inequality problems and vector optimization problems under the assumptions of α-pseudo-univex functions. Results obtained in this paper present a refinement and improvement of previously known results.
