A comparative study of liquid and solid inner contact roxatidine acetate ion-selective electrode membranes

A comparative study was conducted using two designs of a roxatidine acetate （ROX）-selective electrode; a conventional liquid inner contact called electrode A and a graphite-coated solid contact called electrode 13. The fabrication of electrodes was based on roxatidine-tetraphenylborate （ROX-TPB） as an ion-association complex in a PVC matrix using different plasticizers. electrode A has a linear dynamic range of 2.2 ×10^-5 mol/L to 1.0 ×10^-2 mol/L, with a nernstian slope of 54.7 mV/decade and a detection limit of 1.4 ×10^-6 mol/L. electrode B shows linearity over the concentration range of 1.0×10^-6 mol/L to 1.0×10^-2 tool/L, with a nernstian slope of 51.2 mV/decade and a limit of detection of 1.1×10^7 mol/L which is remarkably improved as a result of diminishing ion fluxes in this solid contact, ion-selective electrode. The proposed sensors display useful analytical characteristics for the determination of ROX in bulk powder and its pharmaceutical formulation. The present electrodes show clear discrimination of ROX from several inorganic, organic ions, sugars, some common drug excipients and the degradation product （3-[3-（1-piperidinyl methyl） phenoxy] propyl amine） of ROX. Furthermore, the proposed electrodes were utilized for the determination of ROX in human plasma, where electrode B covers drug Cmax which indicated its applicability to pharmacokinetic, bioavailability and bioequivalent studies. The results obtained by the proposed electrodes were statistically analyzed and compared with those obtained by a reported HPLC method. no significant difference for either accuracy or precision was observed.

The burning of agricultural waste is a major cause of environmental *** this study,we sought to prepare biochar from agricultural waste as a source material for the preparation of carbon nanoparticles(CnPs).Surface morphology,hydrodynamic particle size,and purity and crystallinity of CnPs were extensively investigated using transmission electron microscopy(TEM),zeta sizing,and X-ray diffraction(XRD)spectroscopy,*** CnPs were subsequently immersed in a solution of potassium nitrate(knO_(3))to prepare a CnPs/nk nanocomposite(CnPs loaded with nitrogen(n)and potassium(k))as a nanocomposite fertilizer for common bean(Phaseolus vulgaris L.).The CnPs/nk nanocomposite was sprayed as a foliar fertilizer at 0,10,20,30,and 40 mg L^(-1) on common bean plants 25 d after sowing on a farm in Shebin el-kom,el-Monifia,*** growth,yield,and quality of common bean were investigated during two successive growing seasons(2017 and 2018).The highest seed yields of 2.04 and 2.01 t ha^(-1) and the highest values of growth parameters including plant height of 61.5 and 59.2 cm,number of leaves per plant of 35 and 35,number of flowers per plant of 83.3 and 82.7,and plant fresh weight of 148.7 and 152.8 g plant^(-1) were obtained when using the CnPs/nk nanocomposite at a concentration of 20 mg L^(-1) during the 2017 and 2018 growing seasons,respectively.

Sero-Prevalence of Peste des Petits Ruminants Virus Antibodies in Sudanese Sheep and Goats before and after Vaccination

Peste des petits ruminants virus (PPRV) antibodies were studied in Sudanese sheep and goats (n = 855) before and after vaccination with a locally produced nigeria 75/1 vaccine using a commercial competitive elISA (celISA) kit. Animals were kept healthy under field conditions, in four states: Blue nile (n = 250), north kordofan (n = 189), South Darfur (n = 225) and the northern State (n = 191). Before vaccination, the overall sero-prevalence of PPRV antibodies was 54.6% (53.2% - 56%, 95% CI);high (64.8% - 76.4%, 95% CI) in Blue nile State, medium (50.5% - 61.9%, 95% CI) in north kordofan State and South Darfur State and low (28.6% - 35.2% 95%, CI) in northern State. In high-risk areas (high sero-prevalence), Blue nile (70.4%) and north kordofan (57.7%), middle age groups (7 - 12 and 13 - 18 months) were identified as high-risk age. Middle age groups showed lower sero-prevalence than preceding (3 - 6 months) and subsequent (>18 months) age groups while the risk of exposure increased with age. Current and previous findings suggested a transmission pathway of PPRV involving the South Eastern border (Blue nile) and neighbouring Central Sudan to north kordofan. One month after vaccination 88.4% (343/388) of sero-negative animals were sero-converted suggesting the efficacy of the locally produced nigeria 75/1 vaccine. Even if only individuals in the high-risk age group (7 - 18 months) were vaccinated, the overall population immunity (OPI) in high-risk areas (the Blue nile and north kordofan) would have surpassed the threshold of 70%, which is indicated for blocking PPRV transmission. However, lower vaccination coverage is expected in wider vaccination programmes. These findings primarily justified the targeting of PPR control in Sudan through the vaccination of high-risk age groups in high-risk areas.

The 5G network has been intensively investigated to realize the ongoing early deployment stage as an effort to match the exponential growth of the number of connected users and their increasing demands for high throughput,bandwidth with Quality of Service(QoS),and low *** that most of the spectrums below 6 GHz are nearly used up,it is not feasible to employ the traditional spectrum,which is currently in ***,a promising and highly feasible effort to satisfy this insufficient frequency spectrum is to acquire new frequency bands for next-generation mobile *** this end,the primary effort has been focused on utilizing the millimeter-wave(mmWave)as the most promising candidate for the frequency ***,though the mmWave frequency band can fulfill the desired bandwidth requirements,it has been demonstrated to endure several issues like scattering,atmospheric absorption,fading,and especially penetration losses compared to the existing sub-6 GHz frequency ***,it is fundamental to optimize the mmWave band propagation channel to facilitate the practical 5G implementation for the network ***,this study intends to investigate the outdoor channel characteristics of 26,28,36,and 38 GHz frequency bands for the communication infrastructure at the building to the ground floor in both Line of Sight(LOS)and non-Line of Sight(nLOS)*** experimental campaign has studied the propagation path loss models such as Floating-Intercept(FI)and Close-In(CI)for the building to ground floor environment in LOS and nLOS *** findings obtained from the field experiments clearly show that the CI propagation model delivers much better performance in comparison with the FI model,thanks to its simple setup,accuracy,and precise function.

The alignment operation between many protein sequences or DnAsequences related to the scientific bioinformatics application is very *** is a trade-off in the objectives in the existing techniques of MultipleSequence Alignment (MSA). The techniques that concern with speed ignoreaccuracy, whereas techniques that concern with accuracy ignore speed. Theterm alignment means to get the similarity in different sequences with highaccuracy. The more growing number of sequences leads to a very complexand complicated problem. Because of the emergence;rapid development;anddependence on gene sequencing, sequence alignment has become importantin every biological relationship analysis process. Calculating the numberof similar amino acids is the primary method for proving that there is arelationship between two sequences. The time is a main issue in any alignmenttechnique. In this paper, a more effective MSA method for handling themassive multiple protein sequences alignment maintaining the highest accuracy with less time consumption is proposed. The proposed method dependson Artificial Fish Swarm (AFS) algorithm that can break down the mostchallenges of MSA problems. The AFS is exploited to obtain high accuracyin adequate time. ASF has been increasing popularly in various applicationssuch as artificial intelligence, computer vision, machine learning, and dataintensive application. It basically mimics the behavior of fish trying to getthe food in nature. The proposed mechanisms of AFS that is like preying,swarming, following, moving, and leaping help in increasing the accuracy andconcerning the speed by decreasing execution time. The sense organs that aidthe artificial fishes to collect information and vision from the environmenthelp in concerning the accuracy. These features of the proposed AFS make thealignment operation more efficient and are suitable especially for large-scaledata.
