Magnetically impelled arc butt(MIAB) welding is a pressure welding process used for joining of pipes and tubes with an external magnetic field affecting arc rotation along the tube circumference. In this work, MIAB welding of low alloy steel(T11) tubes were carried out to study the microstructural changes occurring in thermo-mechanically affected zone(TMAZ). To qualify the process for the welding applications where pressure could be up to 300 bar, the MIAB welds are studied with variations of arc current and arc rotation time. It is found that TMAZ shows higher hardness than that in base metal and displays higher weld tensile strength and ductility due to bainitic transformation. The effect of arc current on the weld interface is also detailed and is found to be defect free at higher values of arc currents. The results reveal that MIAB welded samples exhibits good structural property correlation for high pressure applications with an added benefit of enhanced productivity at lower *** study will enable the use of MIAB welding for high pressure applications in power and defence sectors.

A transformer is an essential but expensive power delivery equipment for a distribution *** many distribution utilities worldwide,a sizable percentage of transformers are near the end of their designed *** the same time,distribution utilities are adopting smart inverter-based distributed solar photovoltaic(SPV)systems to maximize renewable *** central objective of this paper is to propose a methodology to quantify the effect of smart inverter-based distributed SPV systems on the aging of distribution *** proposed method is first tested on a modified IEEE-123 node distribution *** that,the procedure is applied to a practical distribution system,i.e.,the Indian Institute of Technology(IIT)Roorkee campus,*** transformer aging models,alongside advanced control functionalities of grid-tied smart inverter-based SPV systems,are implemented in *** open-source simulation tool(OpenDSS)is used to model distribution *** analyze effectiveness of various inverter functionalities,time-series simulations are performed using exponential load models,considering daily load curves from multiple seasons,load types,current harmonics,*** show replacing a traditional inverter with a smart inverter-based SPV system can enable local reactive power generation and may extend the life of a distribution *** results demonstrate,simply by incorporating smart inverter-based SPV systems,transformer aging is reduced by 15%to 22%in comparison to SPV systems operating with traditional inverters.

羧甲基纤维素水凝胶分子内含有大量的羧基和羟基官能团,能够高效吸附水体中的有机污染物,同时由于水凝胶的易回收和生物相容性,目前已被广泛应用于印染废水处理。但传统的羧甲基纤维素水凝胶制备方法存在耗时长、成本高、污染重等问题。该实验设计结合我国资源化发展和环境保护需要,以纤维素水凝胶为原料,以水代替部分传统有机溶剂,开发出一种室温下快速制备羧甲基纤维素水凝胶的绿色合成方案。合成时间从44 h缩短至约4h,制备成本降低约95%,同时减少了化学试剂的使用,避免了二次污染。实验选用典型染料亚甲基蓝作为模型污染物,考察了羧甲基纤维素水凝胶对其在不同水体环境中的吸附性能。

Worldwide,a majority of routine endoscopic procedures are performed under some form of sedation to maximize patient ***,benzodiazepines and opioids continue to be widely ***,in recent years,Remimazolam is gaining immense popularity for procedural sedation in gastrointestinal(GI)*** is an ultra-short-acting benzodiazepine sedative which was approved by the Food and Drug Administration in July 2020 for use in procedural *** has shown a favorable pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic profile in terms of its non-specific metabolism by tissue esterase,volume of distribution,total body clearance,and negligible drug-drug *** also has satisfactory efficacy and has achieved high rates of successful sedation in GI ***,studies have demonstrated that the efficacy of Remimazolam is non-inferior to Propofol,which is currently a gold standard for procedural sedation in most parts of the ***,the use of Propofol is associated with hemodynamic instability and respiratory *** contrast,Remimazolam has lower incidence of these adverse effects intra-procedurally and hence,may provide a safer alternative to Propofol in procedural *** this comprehensive narrative review,highlight the pharmacologic characteristics,efficacy,and safety of Remimazolam for procedural *** also discuss the potential of Remimazolam as a suitable alternative and how it can shape the future of procedural sedation in gastroenterology.

Past research has focused on the factors that influence liquefaction under normal shaking ***,studies on parameters that influence the reliquefaction potential of saturated deposits during repeated shaking events are *** this study,an attempt has been made to examine the influence of acceleration amplitude and shaking duration on liquefaction and reliquefaction potential under repeated shaking conditions is conducted.1-g uni-axial shaking table experiments were performed on saturated ground prepared with 40%and 60%relative *** prepared ground was subjected to alternate longer and shorter shaking durations(40 and 20 s)of repeated incremental 0.1 g,0.2 g,0.3 g and 0.4 g acceleration loading,*** variation in density,excess pore water pressure(EPWP),cyclic resistance ratio(CRR)and surface settlement were *** results showed that due to repeated incremental shaking events,reliquefaction was observed on the prepared *** longer shaking duration,the post-liquefied soil showed density improvement with improved soil ***,the application of shorter duration loading followed by longer shaking reduced the beneficial effect of density improvement by disturbing the densified *** to this,the ground was found to be more susceptible to reliquefaction in the subsequent incremental longer shaking event.

India is currently producing crude oil from matured fields because of insufficient discoveries of new ***,in order to control the energy crisis in India,enhanced oil recovery(EOR)techniques are required to reduce the import of crude from the OPEC(Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries).This review mentions chemical EOR techniques(polymers,surfactants,alkali,nanoparticles,and combined alkali-surfactant-polymer flooding)and operations in *** EOR methods are one of the most efficient methods for oil *** efficiency is enhanced by interfacial tension(IFT)reduction using surfactants and alkali,and mobility control of injected water is done by adding a polymer to increase the volumetric sweep *** paper also reviews the current trend of chemical EOR,prospects of chemical EOR in Indian oilfields,the development of chemical EOR in India with their challenges raising with economics,and screening criteria for chemical EOR implementation on the field ***,the review gives a brief idea about chemical EOR implementation in Indian oilfields in future prospects to increase the additional oil recovery from existing depleted fields to reduce the import of crude *** outcome of this review depicts all chemical EOR operations and recovery rates both at the laboratory scale and field scale around the *** additional recovery rates are compared from various chemical EOR methods like conventional chemical flooding methods and conventional chemicals combined with nanoparticles on a laboratory *** development of chemical EOR in the past few decades and the EOR policy given by the government of India has been mentioned in this *** analysis provides an idea about enhanced recovery screening and implementation of chemical EOR methods in existing fields will significantly reduce the energy crisis in India.
