Colorectal cancer in inflammatory bowel disease:What is the real magnitude of the risk?

The association between inflammatory bowel disease(IBd) and colorectal cancer(CRC) has been recognised since 1925 and still accounts for 10%-15% of deaths in ***-associated CRC(IBd-CRC) affects patients at a younger age than sporadic *** prognosis for sporadic CRC and IBd-CRC is similar,with a 5-year survival of approximately 50%.Identifying at risk patients and implementing appropriate surveillance for these patients is central to managing the CRC risk in *** increased risk of colorectal cancer in association with IBd is thought to be due to genetic and acquired *** link between inflammation and cancer is well recognised but the molecular biology,immune pathobiology and genetics of IBd-CRC are areas of much ongoing *** review examines the literature relating to IBd-CRC,focusing on the incidence of IBd-CRC and examining potential risk factors including age at diagnosis,gender,duration and extent of colitis,severity of inflammation,family history of sporadic CRC and co-existent primary sclerosing cholangitis(PSC).Confirmed risk factors for IBd-CRC are duration,severity and extent of colitis,the presence of co-existent PSC and a family history of *** is insufficient evidence currently to support an increased frequency of surveillance for patients diagnosed with IBd at a younger ***-based guidelines advise surveillance colonoscopy for patients with colitis 8 to 10 years after diagnosis,with the interval for further surveillance guided by risk factors(extent of disease,family history of CRC,post-inflammatory polyps,concomitant PSC,personal history of colonic dysplasia,colonic strictures).There is a move away from using random colonic biopsies towards targeted biopsies aimed at abnormal areas identified by newer colonoscopic techniques(narrow band imaging,chromoendoscopy,confocal microendoscopy).

An Analysis of the Proton Structure Function and the Gluon distributions at Small x

Recently, we reported an analysis of Proton structure function at small x based on Taylor approximated dGLAP equations assuming a plausible relationship between the singlet and the gluon distributions. In this paper, we report a generalised version of the previous work. A corresponding study of the suggested gluon distribution is also *** present generalised version of the model for the structure function results in a wider x range of phenomenological validity than the earlier one. A comparison of both the models of the proton structure function and the gluon distribution is made with exact result as well as with the Froissart saturated models of Block, durand and Mckay.

Educational institutions showing interest to find the opinion of the students about their course and the instructors to enhance the teaching-learning *** this,most research uses sentiment analysis to track students’*** sentence-level sentiment analysis focuses on the whole sentence *** studies show that the sentiments alone are not enough to observe the feeling of the students because different words express different sentiments in a *** is a need to extract the targets in a given sentence which helps to find the sentiment towards those *** extraction is the subtask of targeted sentiment *** this paper,we proposed the innovative model to find the targets of the given sentence using Bi-Integrated Conditional Random Fields(CRF).A Parallel fusion neural network model is designed to perform this *** evaluate the model using the Michigan dataset and we build a dataset for target extraction from student *** experimental results show that our proposed fusion model achieves better results compared to baseline models.

We analyse the interaction of a relativistic electron with a uniform magnetic field in the spiral dislocation *** show that analytical solutions to the dirac equation can be obtained,where the spectrum of energy corresponds to the relativistic Landau *** also analyse the influence of the spiral dislocation on the relativistic Landau levels by showing that there exists an analogue of the Aharonov–Bohm effect for bound states.

Synthesis of Nano-sized Barium Titanate Powder by Solid-state Reaction between Barium Carbonate and Titania

Size control of BaTiO3 in solid-state reaction between BaCO3 and TiO2 was demonstrated by varying the size of TiO2 and milling conditions of BaCO3. The smaller TiO2 particles had higher surface area, resulting in faster initial reaction. The mechanically milled BaCO3 particles accelerated the diffusion process and decreased the calcinations temperature. It can be deduced from the results that the size control is possible and nano-sized BaTiO3 particles with about 60 nm can be synthesized by using the conventional solid-state reaction between BaCO3 and TiO2.

Free vibration of layered cylindrical shells filled with fluid

The vibration of the layered cylindrical shells filled with a quiescent, incompressible, and inviscid fluid is analyzed. The governing equations of the cylindrical shells are derived by Love＇s approximation. The solutions of the displacement functions are assumed in a separable form to obtain a system of coupled differential equations in terms of the displacement functions. The displacement functions are approximated by Bickley-type splines. A generalized eigenvalue problem is obtained and solved numerically for the frequency parameter and an associated eigenvector of the spline coefficients. Two layered shells with three different types of materials under clamped-clamped （C-C） and simply supported （S-S） boundary conditions are considered. The variations of the frequency parameter with respect to the relative layer thickness, the length-to-radius ratio, the length-to-thickness ratio, and the circumferential node number are analyzed.

Two-dimensional(2d)semiconducting materials and transition-metal oxides are promising materials for nonvolatile memory and brain-inspired neuromorphic computing ***,it remains chal-lenging to obtain high-quality stacked 2d films with low energy consumptions(or drive currents)be-cause of their high interfacial *** this study,we synthesized 2d Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)MXene-derived three-dimensional(3d)TiO_(2)nanoflowers(NFs)as a feasible resistive switching(RS)material with outstanding electronic properties and synaptic learning *** electrical and optical characteristics of the synthesized material were determined through density functional theory *** measure-ments of the Al/Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)-TiO_(2)NF/Pt memory device indicated the occurrence of forming-free switching phenomena with extremely low switching voltages(0.68-0.53 V),stable ON/OFF ratio(2.3×103),and retention greater than 105 *** Holt-Winters exponential smoothing technique was used for mod-eling and predicting the switching voltages of the RS *** mechanism underlying the reliable RS was confirmed by observing the dense conductive filaments through conductive atomic force ***,the 2d Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)MXene-derived 3d TiO_(2)NF-based RS device mimicked the po-tentiation/depression and spike-time-dependent plasticity of a biological ***,a convolutional neural network was implemented based on the observed synaptic weights of Al/Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)-TiO_(2)NF/Pt for image-edge detection.
