The influence of single walled carbon nanotube（SWCNT）on the series resistanceof Rose Bengal（RB）and Methyl Red（MR）dye-based organic diodes has been *** has been revealed from experimental results that SWCNT has a significant effect on *** values of Rs are measured from current–voltage（I–V）characteristics and also by utilizing the Cheung *** values from the Cheung method have been verified using H（I）–I plots for all dye-based *** extracted values using these two processes show a good consistency with each *** is observed that Rs is reduced significantly by incorporating SWCNT for both *** estimated amounts of reduction of Rs using SWCNT are 76.08%and 64.23%obtained from the I–V relationship whereas the value of Rs shows a reduction of 83.5%and 67.1%when measured by using the Cheung method for RB and MR dyes *** ideality factor and barrier height of the diodes have also been *** ideality factor has decreased with incorporation of SWCNT.A reduction in barrier height for the devices has also been observed in the presence of SWCNT.

Functionalized single-walled carbon nanotubes(f-SWCNTs)hybridized with freshly prepared zinc oxide(ZnO)nanocrystals have been found to be good luminescent material with tuned emission properties.A three-phase nanocomposite of sulfonated polyaniline embedded with such SWCNT/ZnO nanostructures has been prepared by a simple solution mixing chemical process and characterized by using high-resolution transmission electron microscopy,X-ray diffractometry,Raman spectroscopy,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,and thermogravimetric *** study of UVvisible absorption and photoluminescence spectroscopies reveal that the ternary polymer nanocomposite is a luminescent material with enhanced emission *** an increase in DC conductivity indicates that the nanocomposite is also a good conductive material,satisfying Mott’s variable range hopping model for a two-dimensional *** a three-phase nanocomposite may find extensive application in dye-sensitized solar cells,sensors,and supercapacitors.

In this paper,we present the effective distance between T-cell and B-cell in an immune system using Stop and Wait(S/W)Automatic Repeat Request(ARQ).The concentration of the molecules can be increased by increasing the transmitting number of molecules but it may reduce the performance of communication due to higher collision or interference with other *** is also reported in the literature that the concentration of the emitted molecules reduces if the distance from Transmitter(Tx)to Receiver(Rx)***,this paper mainly focuses on enhancing the receiver’s capture probability and higher successful complete transmission of the desired molecules by obtaining the effective distance from T-cell to *** order to find the effective distance,T-cell transmits the molecules 1(Interleukins-2)to B-cell,upon successful reception of molecules 1,antibodies(molecules 2)transmit back to ***,the effective distance of an immune system can be obtained after T-cell detects the concentration of the molecules 2 with respect to *** schemes of S/W ARQ protocols have implemented in Molecular Communication(MC)but it requires retransmission of duplicate copies due to the lack of addressing an effective ***,the simulations are performed in MATLAB and the results obtain higher capture probability and also successful complete transmission of the desired molecules.

Pencycuron is a non-systemic protective fungicide for controlling sheath blight of rice. However, information on the fate of pencycuron in rice plant is lacking. The degradation of pencycuron in waterlogged tropic rice field was *** was applied at recommended field dose (187.5 g a.i./ha) and double recommended dose to cropped plots for three consecutive years. Pencycuron was rapidly degraded in rice plant at all doses of pencycuron application with first order half-lives of 1.57～2.77 d. The study revealed that pencycuron is safe from the human and environmental contamination point of view.

The influence of discharge voltage on ion collecting surfaces in the form of a metal plate and a mesh grid is investigated in a multi-dipole *** the experiment,a solid metal plate and a mesh grid are placed alternately at one end of the multi-dipole *** is seen that except for high negative bias,the ion space charge layer in front of the grid gets depleted with the increase in discharge voltage whereas it gets thickened in front of the *** is also observed that the electron loss at the cusp(anode current)changes accordingly in both the *** increase in discharge voltage can enhance the Bohm speed of ions towards the ion collecting ***,the negative potential applied to the ion collecting surfaces lowers the bulk plasma potential,which in turn affects the anode current.

DMR-249 A is an indigenously developed high strength low alloy steel for Indian ship building industry for making ship-hull and is extensively used in the construction of war ships and submarines. Welding electrodes conforming to SFA 5.5 AWS E8018 C1 has been indigenously developed for welding of this steel using shielded metal arc welding process. In the present study, susceptibility to hydrogen assisted cracking of DMR-249 A steel welds made using this electrode has been assessed using implant test. Implant tests were conducted using this electrode at two different levels of diffusible hydrogen, measured using gas chromatography technique. It is observed that both the steel and the welding consumable are not susceptible to hydrogen assisted cracking even with a high diffusible hydrogen level of 9 m L/100 g of weld metal. In implant tests, specimen did not fracture even after loading to stress levels higher than the yield strength of the base metal. The good resistance of this steel and the welding consumable, even with high levels of diffusible hydrogen, is attributed to absence of a susceptible microstructure in both the weld metal and heat affected zone. Hence, this study shows that, in the absence of a susceptible microstructure, hydrogen assisted cracking is unlikely to occur even if hydrogen level is high. It also confirms that in welding of DMR-249 A with indigenously developed E8018 C1 electrode, hydrogen assisted cracking is not a concern and no preheating is required to avoid it during welding.

Unaided authentication services provide the flexibility to login without being dependent on any additional *** power of recording attack resilient unaided authentication services(RARUAS)is undeniable as,in some aspects,they are even capable of offering better security than the biometric based authentication ***,high login complexity of these RARUAS makes them far from usable in *** adopted information leakage control strategies have often been identified as the primary cause behind such high login *** recent proposals have made some significant efforts in designing a usable RARUAS by reducing its login complexity,most of them have failed to achieve the desired usability *** this paper,we have introduced a new notion of controlling the information leakage *** maintaining a good security standard,the introduced idea helps to reduce the login complexity of our proposed mechanism—named as Textual-Graphical Password-based Mechanism or TGPM,by a significant *** with resisting the recording attack,TGPM also achieves a remarkable property of threat *** the best of our knowledge,TGPM is the first RARUAS,which can both prevent and detect the activities of the opportunistic recording attackers who can record the complete login activity of a genuine user for a few login *** study reveals that TGPM assures much higher session resiliency compared to the existing authentication services,having the same or even higher login ***,TGPM stores the password information in a distributed way and thus restricts the adversaries to learn the complete secret from a single compromised server.A thorough theoretical analysis has been performed to prove the strength of our proposal from both the security and usability *** have also conducted an experimental study to support the theoretical argument made on the usability standard of TGPM.

The northwestern Himalaya harbors high levels of biodiversity due to its unique topography, climatic conditions and heterogeneity. Forest fragmentation is one of the major threats causing a decline in biodiversity in the Himalayan region. We assesses forest fragmentation and changes in land use land cover（LULC） patterns using multi-temporal satellite data over a time span of four decades（1976–2013）. Fragmentation analysis using the Landscape Fragmentation Tool（LFT） reveals a decrease in core and edge areas by 14 and 2.3 %, respectively; while an increase in non-forest, patch area and perforation area by 2.1, 0.4, and 14 %, respectively. The LULC dynamics show that the areas under dense forest and scrub forest have decreased by 2.8 % and 1.9 %, respectively; and there is an increase in open forest, crop land and fallow land area by 2.6, 1.7 and 2.1 %, respectively. The quantification of landscape heterogeneity is undertaken with the help of landscape metrics computed using FRAGSTATS at class and landscape level, showing signs of increased fragmentation. Our study provides baseline database that can support the future biodiversity conservation and sustainable forest management initiatives.

Ensuring a safe foundation design in soft clay is always a challenging task to *** the present study,the effectiveness of under-reamed piles in soft clay underlaid by stiff clay is numerically studied using the lower-bound finite element limit analysis(LB FELA).The bearing and uplift capacities of under-reamed piles are estimated through non-dimensional factors N_(cul)and Fcul,*** factors increased remarkably and marginally compared to N_(cul)and Fcul of the piles without bulbs when the bulb is placed in stiff and soft clay,*** a given ratio of undrained cohesion of stiff to soft clay(c_(2)/c_(1)),the factors N_(cul)and Fcul moderately increased with the increase in the length-to-shaft-diameter ratio(Lu/D)and adhesion factors in soft clay(α_(s1))and stiff clay(αs2).The variation of radial stress along the pile-soil interface,distribution of axial force in the under-reamed piles,and state of plastic shear failure in the soil are also studied under axial compression and *** results of this study are expected to be useful for the estimation of the bearing and uplift capacities of under-reamed piles in uniform clay and soft clay underlaid by stiff clay.
