k-P-burgers equation in negative ion-rich relativistic dusty plasma including the effect of kinematic viscosity

The stationary solution is obtained for the k–P–burgers equation that describes the nonlinear propagations of dust ion acoustic waves in a multi-component, collisionless, un-magnetized relativistic dusty plasma consisting of electrons, positive and negative ions in the presence of charged massive dust grains. Here, the kadomtsev–Petviashvili(k–P) equation, threedimensional(3D) burgers equation, and k–P–burgers equations are derived by using the reductive perturbation method including the effects of viscosity of plasma fluid, thermal energy, ion density, and ion temperature on the structure of a dust ion acoustic shock wave(DIASW). The k–P equation predictes the existences of stationary small amplitude solitary wave,whereas the k–P–burgers equation in the weakly relativistic regime describes the evolution of shock-like structures in such a multi-ion dusty plasma.

A low pressure system from the southwest bay of bengal between 8-10 June, 1991 brought heavy and continuous rainfall over different parts of Maharashtra. This 3-day heavy rainspell over Maharashtra has been analysed toassess its magnitudes of point as well as areal rainfall. The analysis showed that there were 74 stations which received3-day total rainfall during 8-10 June exceeding their respective normal June rainfall. The areal raindepths obtainedfrom the rainstorm of June, 1991 have been compared with similar data of past severe rainstorms of the region whichshowed that June, 1991 rainstorm yielded higher magnitudes of raindepths upto certain size of areas. A relationshiphas also been developed between point to areal rainfall of this rainstorm for 1-3 day durations for obtaining arealraindepths.

nanocrystalline Zn1-xGdxO(x=0,0.02,0.04,0.06,and 0.08)ceramics were synthesized by ball milling and subsequent solid-state *** transmission electron microscopy(TEM)micrograph of as synthesized samples revealed the formation of crystallites with an average diameter of 60 nm,and the selected area electron diffraction(SAED)pattern confirmed the formation of wurtzite structure.A red shift in the band gap was observed with increasing Gd^(3+)*** photoluminescence of nanocrystalline Gd^(3+)doped ZnO exhibited a strong violet-blue *** dependence of the emission intensity of Gd^(3+)in ZnO was studied,and the critical concentration was found to be 4 mol%of Gd^(3+).The Gd^(3+)doped ZnO exhibited paramagnetic behavior at room temperature,and the magnetic moment increased with Gd^(3+)concentration.

Three components coupling of alkyl bromide, sodium azide and alkyne has been achieved using a catalytic amount of copper-exchanged phosphotungstic acid （Cu-TPA） in the presence of triethyl amine in DMF to afford substituted triazoles in good yields with high selectivity. Interestingly, the coupling of alkyl azide with alkyne pro- ceeds readily at room temperature to furnish 1,2,3-triazoles in excellent yields. The catalyst can be recovered and reused for three to four subsequent runs with a minimal decrease of activity. The use of copper modified heter- opolyacids makes this procedure simple, convenient and environmentally friendly.

The three-dimensional inverse transient thermoelastic problem for a thin rectangular object is considered within the context of the theory of generalized thermoelasticity. The upper surface of the rectangular object occupying the space D： -a〈xSa; -b〈_y〈b; 0〈z〈h; with the known boundary conditions. Laplace and Finite Marchi-Fasulo transform techniques are used to determine the unknown temperature, temperature distribution, displacement and thermal stresses on upper plane surface of a thin rectangular object. The distributions of the considered physical variables are obtained and represented graphically.

n-doped mesoporous alumina has been synthesized using chitosan as the biopolymer template. The adsorbent has been thoroughly investigated for the adsorption of CO2 from a simulated flue gas stream （15% CO2 balanced with n2） and compared with commercially available mesoporous alumina procured from SASOL, Germany. CO2 adsorption was studied under different conditions of pre- treatment and adsorption temperature, inlet CO2 concentration and in the presence of oxygen and moisture. The adsorption capacity was determined to be 29.4 nag CO2/g of adsorbent at 55℃. This value was observed to be 4 times higher in comparison to that of commercial mesoporous alumina at a temperature of 55℃. basicity of alumina surface coupled with the presence of nitrogen in template in synthesized sample is responsible for this enhanced CO2 adsorption. Adsorption capacity for CO2 was retained in the presence of oxygen; however moisture had a deteriorating effect on the adsorption capacity reducing it to nearly half the value.

Heat transfer and entropy generation analysis of non-newtonian fluid flow through vertical microchannel with convective boundary condition

The entropy generation and heat transfer characteristics of magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) third-grade fluid flow through a vertical porous microchannel with a convective boundary condition are analyzed. Entropy generation due to flow of MHD non-newtonian third-grade fluid within a microchannel and temperature-dependent viscosity is studied using the entropy generation rate and Vogel's model. The equations describing flow and heat transport along with boundary conditions are first made dimensionless using proper non-dimensional transformations and then solved numerically via the finite element method (FEM). An appropriate comparison is made with the previously published results in the literature as a limiting case of the considered problem. The comparison confirms excellent agreement. The effects of the Grashof number, the Hartmann number, the biot number, the exponential space-and thermal-dependent heat source (ESHS/THS) parameters, and the viscous dissipation parameter on the temperature and velocity are studied and presented graphically. The entropy generation and the bejan number are also calculated. From the comprehensive parametric study, it is recognized that the production of entropy can be improved with convective heating and viscous dissipation aspects. It is also found that the ESHS aspect dominates the THS aspect.

The electron energy distribution function （EEDF） for a magnetically filtered dusty plasma is studied in a dusty double plasma device where the electron energy can be varied from 0.15 eV to ～ 2.8 eV and plasma density from 10 6 cm-3 to 10 9cm-3 . The characteristics of EEDF for these ranges of plasma parameters are investigated in a pristine plasma as well as in a dusty plasma. The results show that in the presence of dust, there is a drastic modification in EEDF patterns in a plasma with higher electron temperature and density than those in a low temperature and low density plasma produced by the magnetic filter.

Aluminium hydroxide precipitation from synthetic sodium aluminate solution was studied in the presence of hydrazine or hydrogen peroxide. The addition of low concentration of hydrazine is found to be effective, while higher amount of hydrogen peroxide is required to generate similar effect. XRD data confirm the product phase to be gibbsitic by nature. The scanning electron micrographs （SEM） show that agglomerated products form in the presence of hydrazine while fine discrete particles are produced with hydrogen peroxide. The probable mechanism of precipitation in the presence of hydrazine and hydrogen peroxide is also discussed.
