Multi-objective optimization of gas metal arc welding parameters and sequences for low-carbon steel (Q345D) T-joints

Structural, electrical and optical properties of Bi-doped CuInS thin films grown by a single source thermal evaporation method were studied. The films were annealed from 100 to 500℃in air after the evaporation. The X-ray diffraction spectra indicated that polycrystalline CuInS films by Bi doping were successfully obtained by annealing above 200℃. This temperature was lower than that of the non-doped CuInS films. Furthermore, ir was found that the Bi-doped CuInS films became close to stoichiometry in comparison with the non-doped CuInS films. The non-doped and Bi-doped samples annealed at 400℃had bandgap energy of 1.46～1.49 eV. The resistivities and the carrier concentrations of the films annealed at 400℃were from 0.1 to 0.5 Ωcm and from 3×l0 to 3×l0cm, respectively, at room temperature.

Q345D high-quality low-carbon steel has been extensively employed in structures with stringent weld- ing quality requirements. A multi-objective optimization of welding stress and deformation was presented to design reasonable values of gas metal arc welding parameters and sequences of Q345D T-joints. The optimized factors included continuous variables （welding current （I）, welding voltage （U） ahd welding speed （V）） and discrete variables （welding sequence （S） and welding direc- tion （D））. The concepts of the pointer and stack in Visual Basic （VB） and the interpolation method were introduced to optimize the variables. The optimization objectives included the different combina- tions of the angular distortion and transverse welding stress along the transverse and longitudinal dis- tributions. Based on the design of experiments （DOE） and the polynomial regression （PR） model, the finite element （FE） results of the T-joint were used to establish the mathematical models. The Pareto front and the compromise solutions were obtained by using a multi-objective particle swarm optimization （MOPSO） algorithm. The optimal results were validated by the corresponding results of the FE method, and the error between the FE results and the two-objective results as well as that be-tween the FE results and the three-objective optimization results were less than 17.2% and 21.5%, respectively. The influence and setting regularity of different factors were discussed according to the compromise solutions.

Magmatic liquids,including silicate and carbonate melts,are principal agents of mass and heat transfer in the Earth and terrestrial planets,and they play a crucial role in various geodynamic processes and in Earth’s *** conductivity data of these melts elucidate the cause of electrical anomalies in Earth’s interior and shed light on the melt *** the improvement in high-pressure experimental techniques and theoretical simulations,major progress has been made on this front in the past several *** review aims to summarize recent advances in experimental and theoretical studies on the electrical conductivity of silicate and carbonate melts of different compositions and volatile contents under high temperature and *** electrical conductivity of silicate melts depends strongly on temperature,pressure,water content and the ratio of non-bridging oxygens to tetrahedral cations(NBO/T).By contrast,the electrical conductivity of carbonate melts exhibits a weak dependence on temperature and pressure due to their fully depolymerized *** electrical conductivity of carbonate melts is higher than that of silicate melts by at least two orders of *** can increase electrical conductivity significantly and reduce the activation energy of silicate ***,this effect is weak for carbonate *** addition,the replacement of alkali-earth elements(Ca2+or Mg2+) with alkali elements causes a significant decrease in the electrical conductivity of carbonate melts.A distinct compensation trend is revealed for the electrical conductivity of silicate and carbonate melts under anhydrous and hydrous *** important applications of laboratory-based melt conductivity are introduced in order to understand the origin of high-conductivity anomalies in the Earth’s *** for future studies are also provided.

In order to study convergence zones or discontinuous lines formed locally in the Taklimakan Desert,we analyzed available MODIS images onboad TERRA or AQUA satellite for ten cases:29 March 2002,14 April 2002;2 January 2003;21 April 2003;26 March 2004;28 April 2004;30 January 2005;25 June 2005;3 December 2005;and 26 July *** used weather maps published by the Japan Mete-orological Agency for the Asia and Pacific region at 500 hPa,700 hPa and 850 hPa,at 00Z and 12Z to analyze the meteorological conditions occurring in each *** estimated the positions of air streams,convergence zones or discontinuous lines between them,and thermal conditions on the maps and con-firmed the presence of cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds through satellite images in *** a review of previous studies,this paper introduced the results of the present *** warm areas in the Taklimakan Desert and on the Tibetan Plateau and local convergence zones or discontinuous lines in the Taklimakan Desert were discussed together with their diurnal changes,using composite maps of the ten *** the long axis of the desert the convergence zones or discontinuous lines normally extend 70-80 km in a west-east direction,but are suspected to exceed 100 km in extreme *** the other hand,the convergence zones or discontinuous lines extending in a north-south direction on the southern fringe of the desert have a length of 40-60 *** closed warm areas show clear diurnal changes,but they were not detected at the 500 hPa *** example of a clear convergence zone running in a north-south direction on 26 July 2006 was presented in detail with corresponding satellite images.

BACkGROUND: Fluid intervention and vasoactive pharmacological support during hepatic resection depend on the preference of the attending clinician, institutional resources, and practice culture. Evidence-based recommendations to guide perioperative fluid management are currently limited. Therefore, we provide a contemporary clinical integrative overview of the fundamental principles underpinning fluid intervention and hemodynamic optimization for adult patients undergoing major hepatic resection. DATA SOURCES: A literature review was performed of MEDLINE, EMBASE and the Cochrane Central Registry of Controlled Trials using the terms 'surgery', 'anesthesia', 'starch', 'hydroxyethyl starch derivatives', 'albumin', 'gelatin', 'liver resection', 'hepatic resection', 'fluids', 'fluid therapy', 'crystalloid', 'colloid', 'saline', 'plasma-Lyte', 'plasmalyte', 'hartmann's', 'acetate', and 'lactate'. Search results for MEDLINE and EMBASE were additionally limited to studies on human populations that included adult age groups and publications in English. RESULTS: A total of 113 articles were included after appropriate inclusion criteria screening. Perioperative fluid management as it relates to various anesthetic and surgical techniques is ***: Clinicians should have a fundamental understanding of the surgical phases of the resection, hemodynamic goals, and anesthesia challenges in attempts to individualize therapy to the patient's underlying pathophysiological condition. Therefore, an ideal approach for perioperative fluid therapy is always individualized. Planning and designing large-scale clinical trials are imperative to define the optimal type and amount of fluid for patients undergoing major hepatic resection. Further clinical trials evaluating different intraoperative goal-directed strategies are also eagerly awaited.
