he binding energy, density of states were calculated for H_2O adsorption on aseries of model clusters , such as , etc- using Gaussian90(ab initio) program. Based on the calculation results , the behaviour of water ad-sorption on these clusters is discussed. It was found that H_2O is adsorbed chemical-ly on TiO_2(1 10) surface(binding energy : 2. 7 eV-4. 7 eV) and Pt loading can pro-mote the water adsorption process and the hole trapping in the adsorbed water. Thesimple one-step kinetic mechanism is proposed for the water cleavage on TiO_2 underirradiation.

Most studies that have examined mercury （Hg） contamination of fish have focused on game species feeding near the top of the food web, while studies that examine forage fish that feed near the base of the food web are rare. we conducted a survey of Hg contamination in three species of forage fish, brook silverside （Labidesthes sicculus）, threadfin shad （Dorosoma petenense） and gizzard shad （Dorosoma cepedianum）, from Caddo Lake, Texas, USA and found species-specific differences in Hg concentrations. we examined total length, age, trophic position （determined using δ15N）, and growth rate of forage fish as factors that could have influenced within-and between-species differences in Hg concentration. Total length and age were the best predictors of within-species differences in Hg concentration. Between-species differences in Hg concentrations were most strongly influenced by trophic position.

The main goal of this paper is to focus on the investigation of interaction between a magnetic field and elastic materials with microstructure, whose microelements possess microtemperatures with photothermal excitation. The elastic-photothermal prob- lem in one-dimension is solved by introducing photothermal excitation at the free surface of a semi-infinite semiconducting medium （semiconductor rod）. The integral transform technique is used to solve the governing equations of the problem under the effect of the microtemperature field. The analytical expressions for some physical quantities in the physical domain are obtained with the heating boundary surface and free traction. The numerical inversion technique is used to obtain the resulting quantities in the physical domain. The obtained numerical results with some comparisons are discussed and shown graphically.

The effect of downstream resistance on flow diverter treatment of a cerebral aneurysm at a bifurcation: A joint computational-experimental study

Intracranial aneurysm can lead to hemorrhagic stroke upon rupture. Deployment of flow diverters can restrict the blood flow into aneurysm and mitigate the rupture risk. Computational fluid dynamics（CFD） and ultrasonography with pulse-wave and color Doppler ultrasound measurements were employed jointly to investigate the complex flow pattern in cerebral aneurysms, both before and after the deployment of flow diverters. Patient-specific configurations of both bifurcation and side-wall aneurysms were selected. The effect of downstream flow resistance was investigated by adjusting the volume flow rate and pressure at the outlet vessels computationally and experimentally. Velocity profiles in the aneurysm measured from ultrasonography showed good agreement with those from computer simulations. The discrepancy in velocity between the computational and experimental sets of data is less than 10%. The downstream resistance can alter the volume flux into a bifurcation aneurysm with a flow diverter deployed by 236%, while the corresponding value of a side-wall aneurysm is negligible. The vorticity of the aneurysmal flow was reduced by more than 80% in both cases after stenting. This study demonstrated that careful investigation of downstream flow resistance of a bifurcation aneurysm is essential to provide an accurate assessment of the aneurysmal flow dynamics after flow diverter deployment.

Product data management (PDM) has been accepted as an important tool for the manufacturing industries. In recent years, more and mor e researches have been conducted in the development of PDM. Their research area s include system design, integration of object-oriented technology, data distri bution, collaborative and distributed manufacturing working environment, secur ity, and web-based integration. However, there are limitations on their rese arches. In particular, they cannot cater for PDM in distributed manufacturing e nvironment. This is especially true in South China, where many Hong kong (Hk) ma nufacturers have moved their production plants to different locations in Pearl R iver Delta for cost reduction. However, they retain their main offices in Hk. Development of PDM system is inherently complex. Product related data cover prod uct name, product part number (product identification), drawings, material speci fications, dimension requirement, quality specification, test result, log size, production schedules, product data version and date of release, special tooling (e.g. jig and fixture), mould design, project engineering in charge, cost spread sheets, while process data includes engineering release, engineering change info rmation management, and other workflow related to the process information. Accor ding to Cornelissen et al., the contemporary PDM system should contains manageme nt functions in structure, retrieval, release, change, and workflow. In system design, development and implementation, a formal specification is nece ssary. However, there is no formal representation model for PDM system. Theref ore a graphical representation model is constructed to express the various scena rios of interactions between users and the PDM system. The use of freely-available multi-source imagery for mapping vegetation in montane terrain is important for many developing countries that do not have the funding for high-resolution data *** images are also now freely available and include Sentinel-1 in dual polarisation,and *** images can penetrate cloud cover and provide the advantage of acquiring data in a cloudy tropical *** research evaluated whether the addition of radar with optical and topographic data improves classification accuracy in a montane region in Sri *** classification experiments were designed based on different combinations of image data to test whether radar data improved land cover classification accuracy compared with optical data *** forest classifier in the Google Earth Engine has been utilised to classify the tropical montane *** results indicate that radar or optical data alone cannot obtain satisfactory ***,when combining radar with optical data the overall accuracy increased by approximately 5%,and by an additional 2%when topography data were *** highest accuracy(92%)was achieved with multiple imagery,and adding the vegetation indices improved the model slightly by 0.3%.In addition,feature importance analysis showed that radar data makes a significant contribution to the *** positive outcomes demonstrate that freely-accessible multi-source remotely-sensed data have impressive capability for vegetation mapping,and support the monitoring and managing of forest ecological resources in tropical montane regions.

Bilhemia or bile mixing with blood is a rare clinical problem. The clinical presentation is usually transient self-resolving hyperbilirubinemia, progressive and rapidly rising conjugated hyperbilirubinemia, or recurrent cholangitis. Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) plays an important role in diagnosis and management. Biliary decompression with endoscopic sphincterotomy is useful in treating these patients. If not recognized and treated in time, the condition can be fatal in a significant proportion of patients. This usually occurs after blunt or penetrating hepatic trauma due to a fistulous connection between the biliary radicle and portal or hepatic venous radical. Cases have been described due to iatrogenic trauma such as liver biopsy and percutaneous biliary drainage. However, the occurrence after trans-jugular intra-hepatic porto-systemic shunt (TIPS) is very rare. we report a case of bilhemia presenting as rapidly rising bilirubin after TIPS. The patient was managed successfully with ERCP and removal of a blood clot from the common bile duct.
