High-performance all-solid-state lithium-ion batteries require observation,control,and optimization of the electrode structure.X-ray computational tomography(CT)is an effective nondestructive method for observing the electrode structure in three ***,the limited availability of synchrotron radiation CT,which offers high-resolution imaging with a high signal-to-noise ratio,makes it difficult to conduct experiments and restricts the use of X-ray CT in battery ***,laboratory CT systems are widely available,but they use X-rays emitted from a metal target,resulting in lower image quality and resolution compared with synchrotron radiation *** study explores a method for achieving comparable resolution in laboratory CT images of all-solid-state batteries to that of synchrotron radiation *** method involves using the synchrotron radiation CT images as training data for machine learning *** results demonstrate that,by employing an appropriate machine learning algorithm and activation function,along with a sufficiently deep network,the image quality of laboratory CT becomes equivalent to that of synchrotron radiation CT.

Titanium dioxide(Ti O_(2))nanopowder(P-25;Degussa AG)was treated using dielectric barrier discharge(DBD)in a rotary electrode DBD(RE-DBD)*** electrical and optical characteristics were investigated during RE-DBD *** treated TiO_(2)nanopowder properties and structures were analyzed using x-ray diffraction(XRD)and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR).After RE-DBD treatment,XRD measurements indicated that the anatase peak theta positions shifted from 25.3°to 25.1°,which can be attributed to the substitution of new functional groups in the TiO_(2)*** FTIR results show that hydroxyl groups(OH)at 3400 cm-1 increased *** mechanism used to modify the TiO_(2)nanopowder surface by air DBD treatment was confirmed from optical emission spectrum *** species,such as OH radical,ozone and atomic oxygen can play key roles in hydroxyl formation on the TiO_(2)nanopowder surface.

The Effect of Stress, Fatigue, and Sleep Quality on Shift-Work Nurses in Japan

Purpose: To investigate the relationship between stress, fatigue and sleep quality among shift work nurses in Japan. Design: A descriptive correlation design using self-administered surveys. Methods: Questionnaires on stress, fatigue and sleep quality (the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index;PSQI-J) among shift work nurses were distributed to 653 nurses in Japan from January 2015 to February 2015. Results: Participants who reported higher levels of fatigue reported higher levels of stress (r = 0.774, p = 0.000), lower levels of sleep satisfaction (r = −0.411, p = 0.000) and overall lower levels of health (r = −0.323, p = 0.000).PSQI scores were also significantly correlated with reported levels of stress (r = 0.294, p = 0.000), fatigue (r = 0.291, p = 0.000) and levels of health (r = −0.370, p = 0.000). Nurses who have stress-relieving recourses were younger (t = −2.842, p = 0.005), reported higher levels of overall health (t = 2.727, p = 0.007), had higher levels of sleep quality measured by the PSQI (t = −2.560, p = 0.011), and required less time to fall asleep (t = −3.207, p = 0.001). Conclusions: This study showed an association between stress and sleep satisfaction among shift work nurses in Japan. In addition, nurses that engage in activities to manage stress might achieve higher levels of health and high sleep quality.

High-Performance 3D Li-B-C-Al Alloy Anode and its Twofold Li Electrostripping and Plating Mechanism Revealed by Synchrotron X-Ray Tomography

Previously,the conventional 4-high and 6-high mills were used for stainless and copper cold ***,a smaller work roll is required for reducing the rolling load and easily changing the work roll in order to get good surface quality. The work rolls on the 20-high and 12-high mills are supported by intermediate rolls on the front of back-up rolls, and they are known as a cluster type *** calculated the work roll deflections in 6-high mill and 12-high cluster type mill using ABAQUS/*** was found that smaller work rolls must be supported not only vertically but also horizontally to prevent deflections of the work roll. The uncontrollable Li electrostripping and plating process that results in dendritic Li growth and huge volume change of Li anode limits the practicality of Li metal batteries(LMBs).To simultaneously address these issues,designing three-dimensional(3D),lithiophilic and mechanically robust electrodes seems to be one of the cost-effective ***,a new 3D Li-B-C-Al alloy anode is designed and *** prepared 3D alloy anode exhibits not only superior lithiophilicity that facilitates uniform Li nucleation and growth but also sufficient mechanical stability that maintains its structural *** performance of the prepared 3D alloy is demonstrated through comprehensive electrochemical *** addition,non-destructive and 3D synchrotron X-ray computed tomography(SX-CT)technique is employed to investigate the underlying working mechanisms of the prepared alloy anode.A unique twofold Li electrostripping and plating mechanism under different electrochemical cycling conditions is ***,improved performance of the full cells built with the 3D alloy anode and LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)O_(2)(NCM811)cathode corroborate its potential application ***,the current work not only showcases the superiority of the 3D alloy as potential anode material for LMBs but also provides fundamental insights into its underlying working mechanisms that may further propel its research and development.

Leiomyomas are the most common benign tumors of the esophagus. They usually occur as a single lesion or as two or three nodules. Only two cases of esophageal multiple leiomyomas comprising more than 10 nodules have been reported previously. Moreover, there have been few reports of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma overlying submucosal tumors. We describe a 71-yearold man who was diagnosed as having a superficial esophageal cancer coexisting with two or three leiomyoma nodules. During surgery, 10 or more nodules that had not been evident preoperatively were palpable in the submucosal and muscular layers throughout the esophagus. As intramural metastasis of the esophageal cancer was suspected, we considered additional lymphadenectomy, but had to rule out this option because of the patient＇s severe anoxemia. Microscopic examination revealed that all the nodules were leiomyomas （20 lesions, up to 3 cm in diameter）, and that invasion of the carcinoma cells was limited to the submucosal layer overlying a relatively large leiomyoma. This is the first report of superficial esophageal cancer coexisting with numerous solitary leiomyomas. Multiple minute leiomyomas are often misdiagnosed as intramural metastasis, and a leiomyoma at the base of a carcinoma lesion can also be rnisdiagnosed as tumor invasion. The present case shows that accurate diagnosis is required for the management of patients with coexisting superficial esophageal cancer and multiple leiomyomas.

Heme oxygenase-1 overexpression increases liver injury after bile duct ligation in rats

AIM： To investigate the effects of heme oxygenase-1 （HO-1） against oxidant-induced injury caused by bile duct ligation （BDL）.METHODS： Either cobalt protoporphyrin （CoPP）, a HO-1 inducer, or saline were injected intraperitoneally in male SD-rats. Three days later, BDL or sham-operations were performed. Rats were sacrificed 3 wk after BDL and livers were harvested for histology. Fibrosis was evaluated by sirius red staining and image analysis. Alpha-smooth muscular actin, which indicates activation of stellate cells, was detected by immunohistochemical staining, and q/tokine and collagen- Iα （Col- I α） mRNA expression was detected using RNase protection assays.RESULTS： Serum alanine transaminase increased 8-fold above normal levels one day after BDL. Surprisingly, enzyme release was not reduced in rats receiving CoPP. Liver fibrosis was evaluated 3 wk after BDL and the sirius red-positive area was found to be increased to about 7.8%. However, in CoPP pretreated rats sirius redpositive areas were increased to about 11.7% after BDL. Collagen-1 α and TGF-β mRNA increased significantly by BDL. Again, this effect was increased by HO-1 overexpression.CONCLUSION： Hepatic fibrosis due to BDL is not reduced by the HO-1 inducer CoPP. In contrast, HO-1 overexpression increases liver injury in rats under conditions of experimental chronic cholestasis.
