Effects of Integrated Organic and Inorganic Fertilizers on Yield and Growth Parameters of Rice Varieties

We investigated the effects of integrated organic and inorganic fertilizers on the growth and yield of indica rice variety Manawthukha and japonica rice variety *** a split-plot design,the two rice varieties were assigned as main plot factors,and the integrated treatments were the subplot factors,including no-N fertilizer(N0),50%chemical fertilizer(CF)(CF50),100%CF(CF100),50%CF+50%poultry manure(PM)(CF50PM50),50%CF+50%cow manure(CM)(CF50CM50),and 50%CF+50%compost(CP)(CF50CP50).CF100 was equivalent to N at 85 kg/*** was applied based on the estimated mineralizable nitrogen(EMN)level,which is dependent on total N(%)of each manure *** rice plants were taller with higher tiller number and dry matter ***,higher soil-plant analysis development(SPAD)values were measured in Genkitsukushi throughout the crop growth period,resulting in higher seed-setting rate(%)and greater *** the same N level,CF50PM50 application in both rice varieties resulted in higher SPAD values,plant height and tiller number than ***50PM50 containing total N more than 4%supplied synchronized N for the demands of the rice plants,resulting in maximum dry matter,yield and yield ***50CM50 and CF50CP50 treatments containing total N less than 4%resulted in lower yields which were similar to *** results indicated that integrating organic and inorganic fertilizers enhanced growth parameters and yields of Manawthukha and Genkitsukushi,while reducing the dose of chemical fertilizer.

Organic solar cells withμ-oxo-bridged gallium phthalocyanine dimer(GaPc dimer) and fullerene were produced by an evaporation method.A device based on the GaPc dimer provided a conversion efficiency of 4.2×10-3%,which is better compared to a device based on phthalocyanine *** effect was discussed with a molecular orbital calculation,and the crystalline phases of the present solar cells were investigated by X-ray *** improvement of the efficiency was discussed on the basis of the experimental results.

Impact of blanching pretreatment on the drying rate and energy consumption during far-infrared drying of Paprika(Capsicum annuum L.)

We incorporated a superheated steam blanching pretreatment step into a paprika drying process and compared the far-infrared(FIR)drying rates,hardness of the sample surfaces,cell membrane stabilities,and energy consumption of blanched and non-blanched *** average drying rate of blanched paprika samples during FIR drying was higher than that of non-blanched *** hardness and cell membrane stability of dried blanched samples were lower than those of non-blanched *** estimated that the softening of the sample surfaces and injury to the cell membranes caused the drying rate to *** total energy consumption of the FIR drying of paprika was reduced by approximately 30%by introducing the blanching *** findings contribute to the development of environmentally friendly FIR drying techniques for paprika.

Precision surgical approach with lymph-node dissection in early gastric cancer

The gravest prognostic factor in early gastric cancer is lymph-node metastasis,with an incidence of about 10% overall. About two-thirds of early gastric cancer patients can be diagnosed as node-negative prior to treatment based on clinicpathological data. Thus, the tumor can be resected by endoscopic submucosal dissection. In the remaining third, surgical resection is necessary because of the possibility of nodal metastasis. Nevertheless, almost all patients can be cured by gastrectomy with D1+ lymph-node dissection. Laparoscopic or robotic gastrectomy has become widespread in East Asia because perioperative and oncological safety are similar to open surgery. However, after D1+ gastrectomy,functional symptoms may still result. Physicians must strive to minimize postgastrectomy symptoms and optimize long-term quality of life after this *** on the location and size of the primary lesion, preservation of the pylorus or cardia should be considered. In addition, the extent of lymph-node dissection can be individualized, and significant gastric-volume preservation can be achieved if sentinel node biopsy is used to distinguish node-negative *** the surgical treatment for early gastric cancer may be less radical than in the past, the operative method itself seems to be still in transition.

Intracortical chondroma of the metacarpal bone:A case report

BACkGROUND Intracortical chondroma of the metacarpal bone which could be painful is an extremely rare condition and previously only one case has been *** to the similar physical features and appearance on clinical imaging,it is difficult to differentiate between intracortical chondroma and osteoid ***,pathological examination is usually required to establish a definite diagnosis,which is often carried out only after tumor *** this study,we describe a case of intracortical chondroma which developed in the metacarpal bone and demonstrate the utility of magnetic resonance imaging(MRI).CASE SUMMARY We present a case of a 40-year-old man with intracortical chondroma of the metacarpal bone who was strongly suspected of having a tumor,and it was confirmed using contrast-enhanced MRI and successfully treated with *** performed before tumor removal revealed signal intensity similar to that of the nidus of an osteoid ***,no abnormal intensity was observed in the bone or soft tissues surrounding the *** abnormalities on images would indicate the presence of soft-tissue inflammation,which are characteristics of osteoid ***,contrast-enhanced imaging revealed no increased enhancement of the areas surrounding the *** is the first report to describe the contrast-enhanced MRI features of intracortical *** may serve as a guide for clinicians when intracortical chondroma is *** The contrast-enhanced MRI was useful for the differential diagnosis of intracortical chondroma.

Cetuximab and panitumumab in a patient with colon cancer and concomitant chronic skin disease:A potential beneficial effect on psoriasis vulgaris

Monoclonal antibodies against epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR) are used in the treatment of advanced colorectal cancer. However, these agents can induce severe dermatological side effects that discourage their administration in patients with chronic dermatological disease. EGFR plays a key role in normal skin development and immunological function, and is expressed in various tissues and organs, although contrarily, it is overexpressed in psoriasis-related skin lesions. Thus, discussion is ongoing regarding the putative pathological role and therapeutic potential of this protein. We herein report on a patient with advanced colon cancer and concomitant long-standing psoriasis vulgaris who received antiEGFR antibody monotherapy as a third-line treatment for metastatic disease. One week after the initiation of treatment, the patient's skin lesions dramatically subsided and the improvement was sustained during therapy. Based on this case, we propose that anti-EGFR antibody therapy is not necessarily contraindicated in patients with psoriasis vulgaris. Moreover, the findings reaffirmed that EGFR is an important molecule in the pathology of psoriasis.

Study of first orbit losses of 1 MeV tritons using the Lorentz orbit code in the LHD

Shot-integrated measurement of the triton burnup ratio has been performed in the Large Helical Device. It was reported that the triton burnup ratio, defined as total DT neutron yield divided by total DD neutron yield, increases significantly in inward shifted configurations. To understand the magnetic configuration dependence of the triton burnup ratio, the first orbit loss fraction of 1 MeV tritons is evaluated by means of the Lorentz orbit code for various magnetic configurations. The first orbit loss of 1 MeV tritons is seen at t of less than 10-5 s and loss points of the triton are concentrated on the side of the helical coil case where the magnetic field is relatively weak. The significant decrease of the first orbit loss fraction by 15% is obtained with the inward shift of the magnetic axis position from 3.90 to 3.55 m. It is found that the decrease of first orbit loss is due to the reduction of the first orbit loss of transition and helically trapped tritons.

Case of pediatric traditional serrated adenoma resected via endoscopic submucosal dissection

Traditional serrated adenoma(TSA)is a type of serrated polyp of the colorectum and is thought to be a precancerous *** are three types of serrated polyps,namely,hyperplastic polyps,sessile serrated adenomas/polyps,and *** is the least common of the three types and accounts for about 5% of serrated *** we report a pediatric case of TSA that was successfully resected by endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD).This rare case report describes a pediatric patient with no family history of colonic polyp who was admitted to our hospital with *** colonoscopy,we found a polypoid lesion measuring 10 mm in diameter in the lower *** selected ESD as a surgical option for en bloc resection,and histopathological examination revealed *** findings in this case suggest that TSA with precancerous potential can occur in children,and that ESD is useful for treating this lesion.

Decreased accumulation of ultrasound contrast in the liver of nonalcoholic steatohepatitis rat model
