A practical method for evaluating the three-dimensional（3D） position and velocity of a moving object used in the parabolic flight experiment is developed by using the binocular stereo vision measurement theory. The camera calibration mathematic model without considering the lens distortion is *** direct linear transformation（DLT） algorithm is improved to accomplish the camera *** camera calibration result and optimization algorithm are used to calculate the object＇s world coordinate from image *** 3D position and the velocity of the moving object are *** standard uncertainty in estimating the velocity is 0.0024 m/s,which corresponds to 1%level of the velocity of the object in the *** results show that this method is very useful for the parabolic flight experiments.

In silkworms, the white egg 1 （w-1） mutant, which is characterized by white eyes and white eggs, is deficient in Bombyx kynurenine 3-monooxygenase （kMO） activity. To investigate whether the w-1 mutant phenotype is rescued by introducing the wild-type kMO gene, we constructed transgenic silkworms with the wild-type Bombyx kMO gene under the control of either the cytoplasmic actin gene promoter （A3kMO） or the native kMO gene promoter （kkMO）. We created two transgenic lines with A3kMO and one line with kkMO constructs. The eyes of adults in these lines were brown, and the eggs laid by the transgenic females were also brown. Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction（RT-PCR） analysis showed that the A3kMO silkworm lines expressed the transcript in the mid-gut, fat bodies, and Malpighian tubules. The kkMO line expressed the transcript only in the fat bodies and Malpighian tubules. The intensity of eye and egg color in the transgenic lines was proportional to the kMO expression level. Interestingly, transgenic larvae with the A3kMO construct had a light brown larval cuticle, but the kkMO line did not. These results indicate that the wild-type kMO gene can be used as a marker gene for visually screening transgenic silkworms.

As a result of donor shortage and high postoperative morbidity and mortality after liver transplantation,hepatectomy is the most widely applicable and reliable option for curative treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Because intrahepatic tumor recurrence is frequent after loco-regional therapy,repeated treatments are advocated provided background liver function is *** treatments including local ablation and transarterial chemoembolization,hepatectomy provides the best long-term outcomes,but studies comparing hepatectomy with other nonsurgical treatments require careful review for selection *** patients with initially unresectable HCC,transarterial chemo-or radio-embolization,and/or systemic chemotherapy can down-stage the tumor and conversion to resectable HCC is achieved in approximately 20%of ***,complete response is rare,and salvage hepatectomy is essential to help prolong patients’*** counter the short recurrence-free survival,excellent overall survival is obtained by combining and repeating different *** is important to recognize hepatectomy as a complement,rather than a contraindication,to other nonsurgical treatments in a mul-tidisciplinary approach for patients with HCC,including recurrent or unresectable tumors.

Amidine-bearing lipoplex targeting to hepatocyte cells

A lipoplex （i.e., pDNA#1/lipid complex and transfection reagent for pDNA delivery） containing galactosylceramide （GalCer） and an amidine-bearing lipid （TRX） was examined whether the bound pDNA was specifically ingested by hepatocyte via asialoglycoprotein receptor （ASGPR） and then expressed protein. Gel electrophoresis and small-angle X-ray scattering （SAXS） confirmed that the TRX-GalCer liposome#2 complexed with pDNA and the resultant lipoplex took a hexagonally packed inverted cylinder structure when the GalCer composition was less than 20 wt.% of the total lipid. When the lipoplex carrying pGL3 （luciferase-cording pDNA） was administrated to HepG2, the luciferase activity was increased with increasing the GalCer composition until it reached 3 wt.% and then decreased upon further addition of GalCer. When we added galactose itself as a competitor, the luciferase activity was decreased, while glucose did not show such decrease, suggesting that HepG2 ingested the lipoplex via ASGPR-mediated endocytosis. This paper indicated that the hexagonally packed inverted cylinder structures of lipoplex may not always provide excellent transfection and presented a possibility that the TRX lipoplex#3 can obtain a cellulartargeting ability through the receptors for oligosaccharide.

Cibaliung Underground Gold Mine applies cut and fill mining method to optimize ore production and maintain underground stability. Existing 5 m × 5 m height and width of stope geometry has a potential new design to increase production of gold due to variety of thick ore, however serious shotcrete failures often occur in hanging wall decline. This paper aims to find out the relationship between stope design and stability of hanging wall decline. The analysis conducted in this study is based on underground characteristics and geological condition of Cibaliung area. The impact of stope design on decline stability was analyzed by using numerical methods. The impact factors such as different rock mass, size of stope, and distance between stope and hanging wall decline were used in the analysis of underground stability especially stability on hanging wall decline.

The maximum beam current that can be accelerated in an energy recovery linac （ERL） can be severely limited by the transverse multi-pass beam breakup instability （BBU）, especially in future ERL light sources with multi-GeV high energy beam energy and more than 100 mA average current. In this paper, the multi-pass BBU of such a high energy ERL is studied based on the simulation of a 3-GeV ERL light source that is proposed by kEk. This work is expected to provide a reference for future high energy ERL projects.
