Symbiosis among microorganisms represents an interesting relationship that takes different ***,facultative,and endosymbiotic relationships have all been reported between different *** it is mutualism,commensalism,amensalism,or parasitism,understanding every association is of great importance to science and *** how these creatures benefit from each other may be useful for biocontrol purposes,or even for discovery of novel metabolites that result from these associations,and which may not be produced by the individual *** this review,five examples of symbiosis were presented,including among the Laboulbeniales;Septobasidium;Ambrosia Fungi and Beetles;Leaf-cutter ants and their fungus gardens;and finally,termites and ***,the benefits each partner is getting were highlighted,and uniqueness in every form of those symbiosis models was simply described.

AIM:To assess the awareness of eye complications and the prevalence of retinopathy,in the first visit to eye clinic,among type 2 diabetic patients attending a tertiary medical centre in kuala Lumpur,***:An investigator-administered questionnaire was given to 137 patients with diabetes undergoing first time eye screening in the eye *** was followed by a detailed fundus examination by a senior ophthalmologist to assess for presence of ***:Almost 86% of respondents were aware of diabetic eye complications,especially in patients who had achieved tertiary educational level(96.3%).The majority of the patients(78.8%) were referred by their physicians and only 20.4% came on their own *** of the patients(43.8%) did not know how frequent they should go for an eye check-up and 72.3% did not know what treatments were *** of understanding on diabetic eye diseases(68.6%) was the main barrier for most patients for not coming for eye screening *** a high level of awareness,only 21.9% had recorded HbA1c level of screening patients,the appropriate eye care-seeking behavior was comparatively less and should be rectified to prevent the rise of this sight threatening eye disease.

Due to genetic and epigenetic mechanisms, cancer have become a resistant disease and there is a need for new molecules having multiple targeting action that promotes apoptosis. Phytomolecules having multiple targeting anticancer activity are in high demand and there is less documentation or information available on these metabolites. It is evident that mushrooms are became the store houses of new anticancer molecules and mushrooms like Agaricus blazei, Antrodia camphorate, Albatrellus confluens, Bolteus badius, Cordyceps militaris, Clitocybe maxima, Funalia trogii, Grifola frondosa, and Inocybe umbrinella, are some of the medicinal mushrooms reported for their cytotoxic activity. Cytotoxic molecules like lentinan, grifolin, illudin-S, psilocybin, ganoderic acid, theanine, and hispolon, have been isolated from various mushroom species. However, studies have been limited only to in vitro cytotoxic mechanisms and very few trials have been conducted to prove the clinical efficacy of these drug leads. Hence, the current review focuses on new anticancer metabolites isolated from various mushrooms having multiple targeting mechanisms in cancer. However, an extensive research is needed to define the biosynthesis and clinical mechanism of these multiple acting metabolites. This review provides a platform for researchers new anticancer drugs and to bring out potent multiple acting anticancer newer drugs.

Zinc and copper intakes and serum concentrations were determined at the 32th and 36th week of pregnancy in 96 healthy Thai women attending a prenatal clinic. Dietary data from 3-day food records revealed that the mean dietary zinc and copper intakes in Thai pregnant women were 6. 9 and 1. 7mg/d (equivalent to 34 and 69% of Thai RDA), respectively. Fifty-five percent of zinc intake was from animal origin, whereas 59% of copper intake was from plant *** infants of the 64 women who were in the study until delivery, were all *** (>96%) of the maternal serum zinc and copper concentrations were within normal ranges. Only one woman at 32th week had low serum zinc level (ke in most Thai pregnant women (99 and 58%, respectively) were less than two-thirds of the Thai RDAs, they were not at risk of suffering from zinc and copper deficiencies as determined by serum zine and copper concentrations, abnormal parturition and abnormal pregnancy outcome.
