A case of retained intralenticular iron piece with signs of mild anterior uveitis at the time of presentation is reported in a 45 year-old man. His vision improved with topical cycloplegics and corticosteroids. After six months, his vision deteriorated grossly due to cataract formation. He regained good vision following removal of foreign body, extracapsular extraction with posterior chamber intraocular lens implantation. This case highlights the conservative management of the condition till the patient develops cataract resulting in visual disability; and good visual recovery following cataract surgery with intraocular lens implantation.

The microwave synthesis of MnC204.2H2O nanoparticles was performed through the thermal double decomposition of oxalic acid dihydrate （C2H204.2H20） and Mn（OAc）2.4H2O solutions using a CATA-2R microwave reactor. structural characterization was performed using X-ray diffraction （XRD）, particle size and shape were analyzed using transmission electron microscopy （TEM）. Rapid prototyping,real-time control and monitoring of various events in robots are crucial requirements for research in the fields of modular and swarm robotics.A large quantities of resources(time,man power,infrastructure,etc.)are often invested in programming,interfacing the sensors,debugging the response to algorithms during prototyping and operational phases of a robot development *** cost of developing an optimal infrastructure to efficiently address such control and monitoring requirements increases significantly in the presence of mobile *** numerous solutions have been developed for minimizing the resources spent on hardware prototyping and algorithm validation in both static and mobile scenarios,it can be observed that researchers have either chosen methodologies that conflict with the power and infrastructure constraints of the research field or generated constrained solutions whose applications are restricted to the field *** paper develops a solution for addressing the challenges in controlling heterogeneous mobile robots.A platform named Quanta-a cost effective,energy efficient and high-speed wireless infrastructure is prototyped as a part of the research in the field of modular *** is capable of controlling and monitoring various events in/using a robot with the help of a light-weight communication protocol independent of the robot hardware architecture(s).

Objective:To highlight the nephroprotective activity of ethyl acetate extract of dried flowers of Tecomu stans for its protective effects on genlamicin-induced nephrotoxicity in albino rats. Methods:For studying acute toxicity study,single oral dose of 5（kM） mg ethyl acetate floral extract/kg hodv weight was administered to albino rats（five females,five males）.Nephrotoxicity was induced in albino rats by intraperitoneal administration of gentamicin 80 mg/kg/day for eight *** of concurrent administration of ethyl acetate floral extract of Tecoma stans at a dose of 100.200 and 300 mg/kg/day given by oral mute was determined using serum creatinine,serum uric acid,blood urea nitrogen and serum urea as indicators of kidney *** study groups contained six rats in each *** nephrotoxicity of gentamicin is known to involve induction of oxidative stress,in vitro antioxidant aclivity and free radical-scavenging activity of this extract was also ***:For acute toxicity testing both female and male rats administered with the extract at a dose of 5 000 mg/*** results showed no toxicity in terms of general behavior change,mortality,or change in gross appearance of internal organs(LDsub>50sub>>5 000 mg/kg). surface measurements of aerosol physical properties were made at Anantapur （14.62°N, 77.65°E, 331 m a.s.l）, a semiarid rural site in India, during August 2008-July 2009. Measurements included the segregated sizes of aerosolsas as well as total mass concentration and size distributions of aerosols measured at low relative humidity （RH〈75%） using a Quartz Crystal Microbalance （QCM） in the 25-0.05 um aerodynamic diameter range. The hourly average total surface aerosol mass concentration in a day varied from 15 to 70 ug m-3, with a mean value of 34.02±9.05 ug m-3 for the entire study period. A clear diurnal pattern appeared in coarse, accumulation and nucleation-mode particle concentrations, with two local maxima occurring in early morning and late evening hours. The concentration of coarse-mode particles was high during the summer season, with a maximum concentration of 11.81±0.98 ug m-3 in the month of April, whereas accumulationmode concentration was observed to be high in the winter period contributed 〉68% to the total aerosol mass concentration. Accumulation aerosol mass fraction, Af （= Ma/Mt） was highest during winter （mean value of Af -0.80） and lowest （Af - 0.64） during the monsoon season. The regression analysis shows that both Reff and Rm are dependent on coarse-mode aerosols. The relationship between the simultaneous measurements of daily mean aerosol optical depth at 500 nm （AOD500） and PM2.5 mass concentration （[PM2.5]） shows that surface-level aerosol mass concentration increases with the increase in columnar aerosol optical depth over the observation period.

Graphene foam(GF)—a three-dimensional network of hollow graphene branches—is a highly attractive material for diverse ***,to date,the heat dissipation characteristics of GFs have not been *** fill this gap,we synthesized GF devices,subjected them to high temperatures,and investigated their thermal behavior by using infrared *** find that while the convective area of GF devices is comparable to that of bulk materials(such as metals),the coefficient of convection of these devices is several orders of magnitude higher than that of *** addition,the GF devices showed a reproducible thermal behavior,which we attribute to negligible temperature-induced morphological changes(as confirmed by Raman analysis).Taken together,our findings suggest GF as a promising candidate material for advanced cooling applications where efficient heat dissipation is needed,e.g.,in electrical circuits.
