Androgen deprivation therapy(ADT)is the standard of care treatment for advance stage prostate *** with ADT develops resistance in multiple ways leading to the development of castration-resistant prostate cancer(CRPC).Present research establishes that prostate cancer stem-like cells(CSCs)play a central role in the development of treatment resistance followed by disease *** CSCs are capable of self-renewal,differentiation,and regenerating tumor *** stemness properties in prostate CSCs arise due to various factors such as androgen receptor mutation and variants,epigenetic and genetic modifications leading to alteration in the tumor microenvironment,changes in ATP-binding cassette(ABC)transporters,and adaptations in molecular signaling *** reprograms prostate tumor cellular machinery leading to the expression of various stem cell markers such as Aldehyde Dehydrogenase 1 Family Member A1(ALDH1A1),Prominin 1(PROM1/CD133),Indian blood group(CD44),SRY-Box Transcription Factor 2(Sox2),POU Class 5 Homeobox 1(POU5F1/Oct4),Nanog and ABC *** markers indicate enhanced self-renewal and stemness stimulating CRPC evolution,metastatic colonization,and resistance to *** this review,we discuss the role of ADT in prostate CSCs differentiation and acquisition of CRPC,their isolation,identification and characterization,as well as the factors and pathways contributing to CSCs expansion and therapeutic opportunities.

Novel non-invasive score to predict cirrhosis in the era of hepatitis C elimination: A population study of ex-substance users in Singapore

Background: Chronic hepatitis C infection is common among people with history of substance use. Liver fibrosis assessment is a barrier to linkage to care, particularly among those with history of substance users. The use of non-invasive scores can be helpful in predicting liver cirrhosis in the era of HCV elimination, especially in countries where transient elastography(TE) is not available. We compared the commonly used non-invasive scores with a novel non-invasive score in predicting liver cirrhosis in this population. Methods: HCV patients with history of substance use between 2011 and 2016 were analyzed. All patients had TE for liver fibrosis assessment. Clinical performance of established non-invasive scores for fibrosis assessment and novel score were compared. Youden's index was used to determine optimal cut-off of the novel score. Results: A total of 579 patients were included. In multivariate logistic regression, cirrhosis on TE was associated with age( P = 0.002), aspartate aminotransferase(AST)( P = 0.004), and platelet count( P < 0.001), but not alanine aminotransferase(ALT)( P = 0.896). These form the components of modified AST-toplatelet ratio index(APRI) score. Modified APRI was superior to APRI in predicting cirrhosis(AUROC, 0.796 vs. 0.770, P = 0.007), but not fibrosis-4 score(FIB-4)( P = 1.00). Modified APRI at cut-off of 4 has sensitivity, specificity and negative predictive value(NPV) of 94.4%, 26.9% and 92.6%, respectively, and at 19, has sensitivity, specificity and positive predictive value(PPV) of 33.3%, 96.2% and 77.1%, respectively. FIB-4 has a NPV and PPV of 88.6%, 41.8% and 78.5%, 77.6%, at cut-off of 1.45 and 3.25, respectively. Using the cut-off of 4 and 14 for modified APRI, 32.5% of patients can be correctly classified and misses out only 5.6% of cirrhosis patients. Conclusions: Modified APRI score is superior in predicting cirrhosis in HCV population, with 32.5% of the population being correctly classified using cut-off of 4 and 14.

Turiyam Set a Fourth Dimension Data Representation

Recently most of the authors focused on dealing with uncertainty. To deal with that algebra of fuzzy sets is introduced in three-way fuzzy space. It gave way to characterize the attributes in true, false or uncertain regions. It is found in chemistry also as an electron, proton and neutron. The problem arises when the attributes are beyond the three-dimensions. One of suitable examples is winning, draw or loss of a match cannot define the win draw or loss of series. It is measured in international relationships also like USA-China, USA-Russia, India-Pakistan or Israel-Philistine. Some countries support the USA, some countries support China, some countries are neutral in hidden consciousness to fulfill their agenda. It is also measured in democratic countries like India where some people vote in favor of a party, some people vote against the given party, some people may be absent or walkout whereas some people vote NOTA. This last dimension is called as Turiyam or fourth dimension. This last dimension is influenced from Yin-Yang theory of Chinese Taoism as well as Sanskrit Yamma-Yammi and its complement. The Turiya means measuring each dimension in silent mode. There is less attention paid towards the necessity of fourth dimensions and its algebra. This paper will discuss gimbal lock of three-way fuzzy space using the Tuiyam set and its algebra.

Influence of A-site cation disorder on structural and magnetocaloric properties of Nd_(0.7–x)La_xSr_(0.3)MnO_3(x=0.0, 0.1, 0.2 & 0.3)

In the present research, the influence of A-site ionic size disorder on structural, magnetic and magnetocaloric properties of Ndo.7_xtaxSr0.3MnO3 （for x=0.0, 0.1, 0.2 ＆ 0.3） compounds were investigated. These compounds were synthesized by solid state reaction route and crystallized in orthorhombic structure with Pnma space group. An average ionic radius 〈rA〉 increased with La-substitution which influenced the physical properties such as the magnetic entropy varying from 4.78 J/kg.k （for x-=0.0） to 3.55 J/kg.k （for x=0.3） and the maximum magnetization at 5 k changing from 3.92 μB （for x=0.0） to 3.59 μB （for x=0.3）. The change in maximum magnetic entropy decreased with increase of A-site average ionic radius. The decrease in magnetic entropy indicated the suppression of lattice disorder that influenced the spin-lattice coupling. The ferromagnetic transition temperature shifted toward room temperature with La substitution. As 〈rA〉 increased, the phase transition changed from first order （for x-=0.0） to second order （for x≥ 0.1） and the refrigeration capacity increased to a significant level. The modest change in magnetic entropy over a wide range of transition temperature might be useful for future active magnetic refrigeration technology.

The Consistency Measurement in Document Publications and Citation Using t-Index

Recent time handling uncertainty and its measurement is considered as one of the major issues by data science and applied mathematics researchers. It becomes more complex when the dynamicity exists in data sets. One of the suitable examples is Scopus data sets which changes every time. In this case, precise measurement of consistency in document and citation publications is considered as one of the issues. It becomes more complex when the parameter like h-index and document count can be also manipulated over the period of time. To resolve this issue, a time-based index called as “t-index” is illustrated in this paper with an example. This method measures the randomness in document publication and citation using the average h-index and its entropy measurement.

Microstructure studies of air-plasma-spray-deposited CoNiCrAlY coatings before and after thermal cyclic loading for high-temperature application

In the present study, bond-coats for thermal barrier coatings were deposited via air plasma spraying（APS） techniques onto Inconel 800 and Hastelloy C-276 alloy substrates. Scanning electron microscopy（SEM）, transmission electron microscopy（TEM）, X-ray diffraction（XRD）, and atomic force microscopy（AFM） were used to investigate the phases and microstructure of the as-sprayed, APS-deposited Co Ni Cr Al Y bond-coatings. The aim of this work was to study the suitability of the bond-coat materials for high temperature applications. Confirmation of nanoscale grains of the γ/γ′-phase was obtained by TEM, high-resolution TEM, and AFM. We concluded that these changes result from the plastic deformation of the bond-coat during the deposition, resulting in Co Ni Cr Al Y bond-coatings with excellent thermal cyclic resistance suitable for use in high-temperature applications. Cyclic oxidative stability was observed to also depend on the underlying metallic alloy substrate.

In this article upconversion luminescence of silver nanoparticles（AgNPs） coated NaYF4：Er3＋/Yb3＋phosphor nano-particles was *** prepared samples were characterized through various *** surface plasmon band is observed for prepared AgNPs by analyzing UV-vis measurements and is used to enhance the upconversion *** the upconversion measurement the emission bands are observed at 522,546,and 656 nm corresponding to the 2 H11/2→ 4115/2,4 S3/2→4 I15/2and 4 F9/2→4 I15/2 levels,*** upconversion emission intensity of the above bands is found to enhance for sample containing 1 mmol *** time of 4 S3/2 and 4F9/2 levels is found to decrease on coating of AgNPs and hence intensity enhancement is assumed due to the surface plasmon resonance（SPR） effect.

Bulbine frutescens phytochemicals as novel ABC-transporter inhibitor:a molecular docking and molecular dynamics simulation study

Aim:The present in silico study aimed to evaluate the ATP-binding cassette(ABC)transporter inhibition potential of Bulbine frutescens(***)***:Several previous studies and databases were used to retrieve the ligands and target protein *** molecular docking study was performed using the Auto Dock Tools,and the GROMACS package was applied to accomplish molecular dynamics ***:Utilizing the molecular docking and simulation approach,~25 phytochemicals were screened against the ABC transporter *** score analysis revealed that *** phytochemical 4’-Demethylknipholone 2’-β-D-glucopyranoside exhibited strong binding on the ABC transporter protein with a minimum binding score-9.8 kcal/mol in comparison to the standard ABC transporter inhibitor diltiazem(-6.86 kcal/mol).Furthermore,molecular dynamics simulation for 4’-Demethylknipholone 2’-β-D-glucopyranoside showed an acceptable root mean square deviation,radius of gyration,root mean square fluctuation,and hydrogen bond,in addition to other lead ***:The in-silico study demonstrated that *** phytochemical 4’-Demethylknipholone 2’-β-D-glucopyranoside possesses anti-drug resistance properties and requires further testing in preclinical settings.

Analysis of Dielectric and Electro-optic Responses of Nanomaterials Doped Ferroelectric Liquid Crystal Mixture

Dielectric and rotational viscosity measurements of a multi-component ferroelectric liquid crystal mixture were performed by adding a small concentration （0.01 wt%） of silica and multi walled carbon nanotubes （MWCNTs）. Liquid crystals turn out to be outstanding hosts for nanomaterials. A remarkable increase in the rotational viscosity was noticed in CNT doped system as compared to silica doped same liquid crystal system. Comparison of dielectric studies shows higher value of permittivity and dielectric losses for silica-doped sample than those of CNT doped sample. The results have been interpreted both experimentally and theoretically.
