The Bikaner-Nagaur and Barmer Basins(Rajasthan)are the most important petroliferous sedimentary basins in *** over a decade,the exploration and extraction of hydrocarbons in these ***-Eocene age rocks bear organic-rich sediments in these basins,including lignite and carbonaceous shale *** present research investigates the source rock properties,petroleum potential and thermal maturity of the carbonaceous shale partings from the lignite mines of Gurha(Bikaner-Nagaur Basin)and kapurdi(Barmer Basin)using petrographical and geochemical *** carbonaceous shales have high organic matter(OM),with considerable total organic carbon(TOC)contents ranging from 13%to 39%.Furthermore,they contain hydrogen-rich kerogen,including types II and II/III,as evidenced by the Rock-Eval and elemental analysis *** existence of these kerogen types indicates the abundance of reactive(vitrinite and liptinite)***,the carbonaceous shales from the Bikaner–Nagaur Basin have oil generation potentials,with a high hydrogen index(up to 516 mg HC/g TOC)and a H/C ratio(up to 1.5)along with a significant presence of oil-prone liptinitic *** from the geochemical and petrological results,the studied shales have low huminite reflectance(0.31%–0.48%),maximum temperature(S_(2) peak;Tmax)between 419℃ and 429℃,and low production index values(PI:0.01–0.03).These results indicate that these carbonaceous shales contain immature OM,and thereby,they cannot yet release commercial amount of *** immaturity level in the studied outcrop section is due to the shallow burial *** proxies further indicate the presence of both oil and gas-prone source rocks.

Understanding the characteristics and variations of heat exchange and evaporation of lakes is important for regional water resource management and sustainable *** on eddy covariance measurements over Lake Vanajavesi in southern Finland,characteristics of energy fluxes and cold frontal effects on energy exchange were *** lake acted as a heat sink in spring and summer and a heat source in *** latent heat flux reached its minimum value in the morning and peaked in the *** diurnal variation of sensible heat flux was opposite to that of latent heat *** factors for the sensible heat flux were mainly the lake-air temperature difference and the product of lake-air temperature difference and wind *** latent heat flux was mainly affected by the vapor pressure deficit and the product of vapor pressure deficit and wind *** annual mean values of bulk transfer coefficients for momentum,heat,and water vapor were 1.98×10^(-3),1.62×10^(-3),and 1.31×10^(-3),*** transfer coefficients for heat and water vapor were not equal,indicating that the parameterization of energy exchange in numerical models,where the assumption that the heat coefficient equals the water vapor coefficient needs *** the ice-free season,cold fronts resulted in 28 sensible heat pulses and 17 latent heat pulses,contributing to 50.59%and 34.89%of sensible and latent heat exchange in Lake *** results indicate that cold fronts significantly impact the surface energy budget and evaporation over lakes.

Magnetic and magnetocaloric properties in GdZn_(2) synthesized by ball milling

In this study,we prepared GdZn_(2)by mechanical alloying method and measured its magnetization to reveal the magnetic and magnetocaloric *** a milling time(MT)≥10 and 20 h,the GdZn_(2)phase was confirmed by X-ray diffraction *** MT=40 and 60 h,amorphous like patterns are *** MT=10 and 20 h,magnetization(M)as a function of temperature below 80 k shows ferromagnetic-like *** observed values of M are 4.5μ_(B) at 5 k for MT=10 and 20 h,which is smaller than that of the theoretical expected value of 7μ_(B).For MT=40 and 60 h,the long-range ferromagnetic order collapses because there is no spontaneous *** value ofΔT,whereΔT is the full width at half maximum of the magnetic entropy change(ΔS_(m)(T)),increases significantly for MT≤20 h because of the gradual release of magnetic entropy by the milling *** M decreases with increasing MT,the maximum values of|ΔS_(m)|,the relative cooling power,and the refrigerant capacity also decreases.

Statistical manipulation of material data was conducted for probabilistic life assessment or risk-based design and maintenance for high temperature components of power plants. To obtain the statistical distribution of material properties, dominant parameters affecting material properties are introduced into normalization of statistical variables. Those parameters are hardness, chemical composition, characteristic micro structural features and so on. Creep and fatigue properties are expressed by normalized parameters and the unified statistical distributions are obtained. These probability distribution functions show good coincidence statistically with the field database of steam turbine components. It was concluded that the unified statistical baseline approach is useful for the risk management of components in power plants.

Retrospective Review Investigating the Efficacy of the Gray/Campbell Migraine Injection Protocol for OnabotulinumtoxinA (A Modified PREEMPT Injection Paradigm for Chronic Migraine Treatment)

Chronic migraine is a potentially debilitating condition that can be detrimental to someone’s quality of life. Clinical data has proven OnabotulinumtoxinA (BoNT-A) to be an effective prophylactic treatment for chronic headache types, and it is now regularly employed by headache treatment centers. The PREEMPT injection protocol has become the standard treatment regimen surrounding Botox injections for chronic migraine treatment since it was granted approval by the FDA in 2010. This retrospective chart review of patients treated for chronic migraine at Maine Comprehensive Pain Management in Scarborough, Maine, presents an alteration to the standard PREEMPT injection paradigm that reinforces the efficacy of Botox for chronic migraine treatment. We will discuss our Modified PREEMPT injection paradigm, which yields a positive clinical response rate of 95% of patients achieving at least 50% improvement in their migraine headaches. This appears to be the highest established response rate in the literature to date.

Rheumatoid arthritis(RA)is a chronic autoimmune disease that affects approxi-mately 0.46%of the global *** therapeutics for RA,including disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs(DMARDs),nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs(NSAIDs),and corticosteroids,frequently result in unintended adverse ***(DEX)is a potent glucocorticoid used to treat RA due to its anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive *** delivery of DEX,particu-larly when liposomes are surface-modified with targeting ligands like peptides or sialic acid,can improve drug efficacy by enhancing its distribution to inflamed joints and minimizing *** study investigates the potential of liposomal drug delivery systems to enhance the efficacy and targeting of DEX in the treatment of *** from various studies demonstrate that liposomal DEX significantly inhibits arthritis progression in animal models,reduces joint inflammation and damage,and alleviates cartilage destruction compared to free *** liposomal formulation also shows better hemocompatibility,fewer adverse effects on body weight and immune organ index,and a longer circulation time with higher *** anti-inflammatory mechanism is associated with the downregulation of pro-inflammatory cytokines like tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)and B-cell-activating factor(BAFF),which are key players in the pathogenesis of ***,liposomal DEX can induce the expres-sion of anti-inflammatory cytokines like interleukin-10(IL-10),which has significant anti-inflammatory and immunoregulatory *** findings suggest that lipo-somal DEX represents a promising candidate for effective and safe RA therapy,with the potential to improve the management of this debilitating disease by providing targeted delivery and sustained release of the drug.

Economic Analysis of CO2 Emission Abatement Applying a Dynamic CGE Model with Endogenous Technological Change： Impacts of the Time Horizon

We evaluate economic and environmental impacts of climate change mitigation in a country scale considering various time horizons in the analysis applying a single-country dynamic computable general equilibrium model with endogenous technological change. Although there is a possibility that Gross Domestic Product （GDP） becomes larger for the abatement cases than the baseline case in the earlier years, it tends to be lower than that in the later years. The longer the time horizon and/or the more severe the abatement, the larger the negative impacts will be. When subsidizing R＆D investment, increase in GDP compared to the baseline case is realized in the middle of the time horizon, and the larger increase tends to be observed for the longer-term cases. These results would be due to technological change induced by the subsidies and emission abatement. Environmental indicators are also improved. We showed that the results were influenced by the target time horizon when using an intertemporal dynamic model.
