OBJECTIVE To assess the role of beta-blockers(BB)in patients with chronic kidney disease(CkD)aged≥75 *** AnD REsUlTs From January 2008 to July 2014,we included 390 consecutive patients≥75 years of age with ejection fraction≤35%and glomerular filtration rate(GFR)≤60 m l/min per 1.73 m^*** analyzed the relationship between treatment with BB and mortality or cardiovascular *** mean age of our population was 82.6±4.1 *** ejection fraction was 27.9%±6.5%.GFR was 60-45 m l/min per 1.73 m^2 in 50.3%of patients,45-30 m l/min per 1.73 m^2 in 37.4%,andl/min per 1.73 m^2 in 12.3%.At the conclusion of follow-up,67.4%of patients were receiving *** median follow-up was28.04(IR:19.41-36.67)*** the study period,211 patients(54.1%)died and 257(65.9%)had a major cardiovascular event(death or hospitalization for heart failure).BB use was significantly associated with a reduced risk of death(HR=0.51,95%CI:0.35-0.74;Pnts receiving BB consistently showed a reduced risk of death across the different stages of CkD:stage IIIa(GFR=30-45 m l/min per 1.73 m^2;HR=0.47,95%CI:0.26-0.86,Pstage IIIb(GFR 30-45 m l/min per 1.73 m^2;HR=0.55,95%CI:0.26-1.06,P=0.007),and stages IV and V(GFRl/min per 1.73 m~2;HR=0.29,95%CI:0.11-0.76;P=0.047).COnClUsIOns The use of BB in elderly patients with HFr EF and renal impairment was associated with a better *** of BB should be encouraged when possible.

In this paper, we have investigated the peristaltic flow of Williamson fluid in a curved channel. The governing equations of Williamson fluid model for curved channel are derived including the effects of curvature. The highly nonlinear partial differential equa- tions are simplified by using the wave frame transformation, long wavelength and low Reynolds number assumptions. The reduced nonlinear partial differential equation is solved analytically with the help of homotopy perturbation method. The physical features of pertinent parameters have been discussed by plotting the graphs of pressure rise, velocity profile and stream functions.

Highly textured dense Ca3-xYxCo4 O9+δ(0≤x≤0.3)samples were fabricated by combining sol-gel process with spark plasma sintering(sPs).Y^3+substitution for Ca^2+simultaneously increased the seebeck coefficient and reduced the thermal *** latter was attributed to the increase in lattice anharmonicity,structural distortion,and grain boundary area,which enhanced the phonon ***2.7Y0.3Co4 O9+δshowed the largest dimensionless figure-of-merit(ZT=0.194)at 1073 k because it had the largest seebeck coefficient and the lowest thermal *** ZT value was 55%larger than that of undoped Ca3 Co4 O9(0.125 at 1073 k).Therefore,Y^3+substitution,sol-gel powder synthesis,and sPs are highly effective for enhancing the thermoelectric prope rties of Ca_(3)Co_(4)O_(9).

studies on texture and microstructure evolution in hot extruded Al 6061 aluminium alloy reinforced with uncoated and nickel coated siC p were carried out by electron backscattered diffraction *** of both the alloy and its composite with nickel coated siC p do exhibit strong β fiber with its axis parallel to the direction of *** addition to the dominant cube texture（001） 100,fully recrystallized grains with partially equiaxed structure have been observed in the alloy reinforced with uncoated siC *** recrystallization texture of this composite can be attributed to the particle stimulated nucleation（Psn） due to the presence of siC p with size less than 5 μ*** these conditions,the low value of Zener-Hollomon,Z（～1012s-1） confirms that Psn is one of the dominant mechanisms for recrystallization and is governed by formation of deformation zone rather than stored energy.

In this study, the fabrication and characterization of capacitive humidity sensors using cobalt-phthalocyanine （CoPc） as the active material were presented. Thin films of CoPc were deposited by drop casting on glass substrates with pre-deposited aluminum electrodes to form A1/CoPc/A1 surface-type humidity sensors. The effect of humidity on the electrical properties of the CoPc film was investigated by measuring capacitance and resistance of the samples at four different frequencies of the applied voltage. It was observed that the capacitance of the sensor increased while the resistance decreased with raising the relative humidity. It was also found that the values of capacitance and resistance decreased with increasing frequency. The optical absorption spectra and optical band gap energy of CoPc films were measured. The structure of CoPc powder and thin films has been studied by X-ray diffraction （XRD）, scanning electron microscopy （sEM）, and atomic force microscopy （AFM）. Results of XRD studies show that the film structure is polycrystalline with the monoclinic structure while thin films have a peak for annealing temperatures with （100） orientation. Also, the surface morphology （grain size and roughness） for CoPc films have been studied by AFM.

Glycation of nucleotides, proteins and phospholipids contributes to the development of late diabetic complications,including the most debilitating one——diabetic neuropathy. Reactive intermediates of AGE formation such as glyoxal, methylglyoxal(MG) and other dicarbonyls are detoxified by the glyoxalase-system. However little is known about the regulation and nature of the mechanisms underlying neuropathology. Therefore we decided to focus on the role of MG-glyoxalase 1(GlO-1) system in modulation of painful diabetic neuropathy.

An efficient approach has been developed for the synthesis of 5,5＇-diaryl-2,2＇-bipyridines via their 1,2,4-triazine *** notable advantages of the present method are：The possibility of varying the aromatic substituents in the positions 5 and 5＇ of bipyridine core and the possibility for obtaining 2,2＇-bipyridines bearing a fused cyclopentene core to increase the solubility in organic *** 5,5＇-diaryl-2,2＇-bipyridines exhibited an intense emission in a range of ca.422-521 nm in acetonitrile solution;depending on the nature of the aromatic substituents and the presence of annulated cyclopentene *** from that,the significant bathochromic shifts of the both absorption and emission maxima were observed in comparison with a number of previously described similar *** some cases the significant increasing of the fluorescence quantum yields took place.

A novel process of fabricating aluminium matrix composites(AMCs)with requisite properties by dispersing rutile particles in the aluminum matrix was studied.A novel bi-stage stir casting method was employed to prepare composites,by varying the mass fractions of the rutile particles as 1%,2%,3%and 4%in AA6061 *** density,tensile strength,hardness and microstructures of composites were ***-stage stir casting method engendered AMCs with uniform distribution of the reinforced rutile particles in the AA6061 *** was confirmed by the enhancement of the properties of AMCs over the parent base ***-reinforced AMCs exhibited higher tensile strength and hardness as compared with unreinforced parent *** properties of the composites were enhanced with the increase in the mass fraction of the rutile ***,beyond 3 wt.%of rutile particles,the tensile strength *** hardness and tensile strength of the AMCs reinforced with 3 wt.%of rutile were improved by 36%and 14%respectively in comparison with those of matrix alone.

促进人口长期均衡发展与扎实推进共同富裕是中国“十四五”时期的战略目标。基于统一框架对人口老龄化、社会保障支出与收入分配的关系进行理论刻画,并对人口老龄化与社会保障支出的收入分配效应展开定量评估。研究发现:人口老龄化是中国收入分配失衡的重要驱动因素,老龄化显著扩大了收入不平等;从整体来看,发展不均衡、支出规模偏低等因素限制了社会保障支出对收入分配的调节作用,其再分配功能有待进一步优化;此外,人口老龄化与社会保障支出对收入分配存在交互效应,随着社会保障支出规模提高,老龄化对收入分配的不利影响将逐渐弱化。因此,要逐步扭转人口老龄化对国民收入分配格局造成的负面冲击,应在强化共济性原则的基础上适度提高社会保障支出规模,以更好地实现社会公平。
