The platinum-based chemotherapy is one of the most frequently used treatment protocols for lung adenocarcinoma(lUAD),and chemoresistance,however,usually results in treatment failure and limits its application in the *** has been shown that microRnas(miRnas)play a significant role in tumor *** this study,miR-125b was identified as a specific cisplatin(DDP)-resistant gene in lUAD,as indicated by the bioinformatics analysis and the real-time quantitative PCR *** decreased serum level of miR-125b in lUAD patients was correlated with the poor treatment response rate and short survival ***-125b decreased the A549/DDP proliferation,and the multiple drug resistance-and autophagy-related protein expression levels,which were all reversed by the inhibition of *** addition,xenografts of human tumors in nude mice were suppressed by miR-125b,demonstrating that through autophagy regulation,miR-125b could reverse the DDP resistance in lUAD cells,both in vitro and in *** mechanistic studies indicated that miR-125b directly repressed the expression levels of RORA and its downstream BNIP3l,which in turn inhibited autophagy and reversed *** on these findings,miR-125b in combination with DDP might be an effective treatment option to overcome DDP resistance in lUAD.

Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a degenerative disease of the central nervous system. It results in cognitive dysfunction due to the loss of functional neurons and a deficit of new neurons， which can lead to death in severe cases. Repairing damaged neurons by promoting hippocampal neurogenesis has become therapeutic modality to combat neurodegenerative diseases. The novel isoflavone alk.l.id lY01， found in the edible fruits of Sophora alopecuroides l.， has various neuroprotective effects. However， the molecular mechanism by which it promotes the proliferation of endogenous neural stem cells (NSCs) is not yet precisely known. The effects of lY01 were investigated in vivo and in vitro. In vivo experiments showed that lY01 could counteract the toxic damage of Aβ， enhance the learning ability and memory capacity of 5×FAD mice， and improve the morphology of neurons in the hippocampal region. In vitro experiments showed that lY01 was effective against antioxidant damage， improved the cell morphology of C17.2 mouse NSCs after hydrogen peroxide injury， and increased cell viability. Both in vitro and in vivo experiments promoted NSC proliferation by upregulating the mRna and protein levels of the critical genes of the Wnt/β-catenin pathway， which increased levels of doublecortin to facilitate new neuronal generation. This indicates that the ability of lY01 to counteract Aβ toxicity and alleviate oxidative damage in early AD is associated with activation of the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway to promote NSC proliferation and thus repair damaged neurons.

Thrombosis and inflammation are primary contributors to the onset and progression of ischemic *** contact-kinin pathway,initiated by plasma k.l.ikrein(Pk)and activated factor XII(FXIIa),functions bidirectionally with the coagulation and inflammation cascades,providing a novel target for therapeutic drug development in ischemic *** this study,we identified a bat-derived oligopeptide from Myotis myotis(Borkhausen,1797),designated lE6(leu-Ser-Glu-Glu-Pro-Glu,702 Da),with considerable potential in stroke therapy due to its effects on the contact kinin ***,lE6 demonstrated significant inhibitory effects on Pk and FXIIa,with inhibition constants of 43.97μmol/l and 6.37μmol/l,*** vitro analyses revealed that lE6 prolonged plasma recalcification time and activated partial thromboplastin *** murine models,lE6 effectively inhibited carrageenan-induced mouse tail thrombosis,FeCl3-induced carotid artery thrombosis,and photochemically induced intracerebral ***,lE6 significantly decreased inflammation and stroke injury in transient middle cerebral artery occlusion ***,the low toxicity,hemolytic activity,and bleeding risk of lE6,along with its synthetic simplicity,underscore its clinical *** conclusion,as an inhibitor of FXIIa and Pk.l.6 offers potential therapeutic benefits in stroke treatment by mitigating inflammation and preventing thrombus formation.

Objective: Chronic end-stage renal failure is a major public health problem in developing countries and is poorly documented. The objective of this study was to describe the epidemiological, diagnostic, therapeutic, and evolutionary aspects of patients admitted for end-stage renal failure to the Department of Nephrology at the University Hospital of Brazzaville. Patients and Methods: This was a descriptive cross-sectional study collecting prospective data that took place over 10 months. We included 128 patients who were exhaustively identified. Sociodemographic, clinical, therapeutic and developmental data were collected using a standardized and pretested pre-established survey form. The EPI info software enabled the analysis and processing of the data. Results: We reported a male predominance with a sex ratio of 2.5. The median age was 50 years. The first cause found was diabetes (55%) followed by hypertension (46%). The majority of patients had a dialysis emergency and half could not be dialyzed for financial reasons. Conclusion: Our results highlighted that certain epidemiological parameters of end-stage renal failure are constantly changing, such as frequency, while others remain static, including the main etiologies, gender, and age. However, mortality continues to increase and deserves more attention.

Dear Editor,G protein-coupled receptors(GPCRs)play a vital role in regulating almost every aspect of human physiology,making up more than one-third of marketed drug targets(Santos et al.,2017).GPCRs orchestrate their signalling through interactions with three distinct downstream protein families:G proteins,G protein-coupled receptor kinases(GRks),and arrestins(Santos et al.,2017).While G protein-mediated signalling is initiated upon GPCR stimulation,activated GPCRs return to their basal levels through a GRk-and arrestin-regulated desensitization process(Santos et al.,2017).In addition to modulating receptor desensitization,β-arrestin also regulates downstream events that are distinct from classical G protein signalling(Ahn et al.,2020).

由环氧乙烷(EO)和二氧化碳(CO_(2))酯化加成生产碳酸乙烯酯(EC)是一条优选的“绿色化学”生产路线,可以为新能源汽车动力电池提供优良溶剂,更能开辟一条CO_(2)捕集利用与封存的绿色路线。为了研究此反应发生的可能性和反应程度,通过热力学公式对反应过程进行了热力学分析,同时建立了主反应宏观动力学模型,以指导工业反应器的设计。结果表明:除EC水解副反应为吸热反应外,主反应和其他副反应均为强放热反应;所有副反应均可以自发进行,而主反应受温度影响较大,当温度大于100℃时不能自发进行;通过对试验数据回归得到了该反应的动力学参数,并用工业数据进行了验证;通过动力学模型预测了反应器组合后的产物浓度,双釜串联反应器出口EC摩尔分数为98.91%,模型计算值与工业试验值误差小于0.12%。
