An Improved Binary Quantum-based Avian Navigation Optimizer Algorithm to Select Effective Feature Subset from Medical Data:A COVID-19 Case Study

Feature Subset Selection(FSS)is an NP-hard problem to remove redundant and irrelevant features particularly from medical data,and it can be effectively addressed by metaheuristic ***,existing binary versions of metaheuristic algorithms have issues with convergence and lack an effective binarization method,resulting in suboptimal solutions that hinder diagnosis and prediction *** paper aims to propose an Improved Binary Quantum-based Avian Navigation Optimizer Algorithm(IBQANA)for FSS in medical data preprocessing to address the suboptimal solutions arising from binary versions of metaheuristic *** proposed IBQANA’s contributions include the hybrid Binary Operator(hBO)and the Distance-based Binary Search Strategy(DBSS).hBO is designed to convert continuous values into binary solutions,even for values outside the[0,1]range,ensuring accurate binary *** the other hand,DBSS is a two-phase search strategy that enhances the performance of inferior search agents and accelerates *** combining exploration and exploitation phases based on an adaptive probability function,DBSS effectively avoids local *** effectiveness of applying hBO is compared with five transfer function families and thresholding on 12 medical datasets,with feature numbers ranging from 8 to 10,***'s effectiveness is evaluated regarding the accuracy,fitness,and selected features and compared with seven binary metaheuristic ***,IBQANA is utilized to detect *** results reveal that the proposed IBQANA outperforms all comparative algorithms on COVID-19 and 11 other medical *** proposed method presents a promising solution to the FSS problem in medical data preprocessing.

Bridging digital and electromagnetic realms for enhanced wireless communication: current space

Digital, coding, and programmable metasurfaces have attracted widespread attention in wireless communication fields owing to their distinguished capability in manipulating electromagnetic (EM)waves [1]. Metasurfaces consist of planar subwavelength meta-atoms and are a twodimensional form of metamaterials [2].These engineered surfaces can flexibly control the properties of EM waves, such as magnitude, phase, and polarization. In particular, coding metasurfaces provide a bridge between the digital world and the physical world. Accordingly, modeling and analyzing the coding metasurfaces from the perspective of information theory has become one of the most important research focuses of the scientific community [3,4].

Graph neural networks have been shown to be very effective in utilizing pairwise relationships across ***,there have been several successful proposals to generalize graph neural networks to hypergraph neural networks to exploit more com-plex *** particular,the hypergraph collaborative networks yield superior results compared to other hypergraph neural net-works for various semi-supervised learning *** collaborative network can provide high quality vertex embeddings and hyperedge embeddings together by formulating them as a joint optimization problem and by using their consistency in reconstructing the given *** this paper,we aim to establish the algorithmic stability of the core layer of the collaborative network and provide generaliz--ation *** analysis sheds light on the design of hypergraph filters in collaborative networks,for instance,how the data and hypergraph filters should be scaled to achieve uniform stability of the learning *** experimental results on real-world datasets are presented to illustrate the theory.

The X-ray sources of the universe are extraterrestrial in nature which emit X-ray *** closest strong X-ray source is the Sun,which is followed by various compact sources such as neutron stars,black holes,the Crab pulsar,*** this paper,we analyze the data received from several low-cost lightweight meteorological balloon-borne missions launched by the Indian Centre for Space *** main interest is to study the variation of the vertical intensity of secondary cosmic rays,the detection of strong X-ray sources,and their spectra in the energy band of^(1)0–80 keV during the complete *** to the lack of an onboard pointing system,low exposure time,achieving a maximum altitude of only~42 km,and freely rotating the payload about its axis,we modeled the background radiation flux for the X-ray detector using physical *** also present the source detection method,observation of the pulsation of the Crab(^(3)3 hz),and spectra of some sources such as the quiet Sun and the Crab pulsar.

Influence of Confined Concrete Models on the Seismic Response of RC Frames

In this study, the influence of confined concrete models on the response of reinforced concrete structures is investigatedat member and global system levels. The commonly encountered concrete models such as Modified kent-Park, Saatçioğlu-Razvi, and Mander are considered. Two moment-resisting frames designed according to thepre-modern code are taken into consideration to reflect the example of an RC moment-resisting frame in thecurrent building stock. The building is in an earthquake-prone zone located on Z3 Soil Type. The inelasticresponse of the building frame is modelled by considering the plastic hinges formed on each beam and columnelement for different concrete classes and stirrups spacings. The models are subjected to non-linear static *** differences between confined concrete models are comparatively investigated at both reinforced concretemember and system levels. Based on the results of the comparative analysis, it is revealed that the column behaviouris mostly influenced by the choice of model, due to axial loads and confinement effects, while the beams areless affected, and also it is observed that the differences exhibited in the moment-curvature response of columncross-sections do not significantly affect the overall behaviour of the global system. This highlights the critical roleof model selection relative to the concrete strength and stirrup spacing of the member.

Cool white light and tunable multicolor emission from Tb^(3+)/Dy^(3+)co-activated glasses under different excitations for WLEDs

A set of co-doped(Tb^(3+)/Dy^(3+))lithium zinc borate(LZB)glasses were developed by melt *** structural evaluation was performed for synthesized glassy *** Dy^(3+)and Tb^(3+)individually doped glasses exhibit intense yellow and green luminescence bands at 575 nm(^(4)F_(9/2)→^(6)h_(13/2))and543 nm(^(5)D_(4)→^(7)F_(5)),*** sensitization effect of Dy^(3+)on Tb^(3+)was analyzed by increasing the Tb^(3+)content with respect to the optimum Dy^(3+)content(0.5 mol%)in Dy^(3+)/Tb^(3+).The spectral overlay of Dy^(3+)luminescence and Tb^(3+)absorption profiles,Dy^(3+)/Tb^(3+)PL spectra under different excitations 352,362,376,and 385 nm,shortening decay lifetimes of Dy^(3+)in Dy^(3+)/Tb^(3+)co-activated glasses,energy transfer(ET)parameters,chromaticity coordinates and their corresponding correlated temperatures all help to explain ET from Dy^(3+)to Tb^(3+).At 385 nm of Dy^(3+)excitation,the optimized co-activated(0.5Dy^(3+)+1.0Tb^(3+)):LZB glass displays cool white light *** non-radiative ET from Dy^(3+)to Tb^(3+)is dominated by electric dipole-dipole interaction and its ET efficiency was calculated to be 63%.At the same time,reverse ET from Tb^(3+)to Dy^(3+)was also *** shift in color coordinates from dominant yellow to greenish-yellow,green and white light emission suggests that Dy^(3+)/Tb^(3+)coactivated LZB glasses can be a potential candidate for UV converted multicolor and white light emitting devices.

Compression properties of cost-efficient porous expanded clay reinforced AA7075 syntactic foams fabricated by industrial-oriented die casting technology

In today’s manufacturing industries,hard competition between rival firms makes it compulsory for researchers to design lighter and cheaper machine components due to the megatrends of cost-effectiveness and *** this point,aluminum syntactic foams(ASFs)are new-generation engineering composites and come into the upfront as a *** to their features like low density,sufficient elongation,and perfect energy absorption ability,these advanced foams have been considerably seductive for many industrial sectors *** this study,an industrial-oriented automatic die casting technology was used for the first time to manufacture the combination of AA7075/porous expanded clay(PEC).Micro evaluations(optical and FESEM)reveal that there is a homogenous particle distribution in the foam samples,and inspections are compatible with the other ASF ***,T6 aging heat treatment was operated on one half of the produced foams to explore the probable impact of aging on the compressive *** results show that PEC particles can be an alternative to expensive hollow spheres used in the previous ***,a favorable relationship is ascertained between the aging treatment and mechanical properties such as compression strength and plateau strength.

Emission colour tuning in kLnF_(4):Yb^(3+),Er^(3+)/ho^(3+)phosphor

kLnF_(4):Yb^(3+),Er^(3+)/ho^(3+)(Ln=Y,Yb,Gd)phosphors were prepared by solid-state reaction *** each of the Yb^(3+)/Er^(3+)and Yb^(3+)/ho^(3+)co-doped phosphors independently,phase confirmation and morphological examination were accomplished using the X-ray diffraction technique and scanning electron microscope analysis.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis shows the charge state and existence of lanthanides and *** luminescence emissions of green and red colour were detected for the synthesized *** changes in the upconverted emission intensities and colour output pertaining to the change of the lanthanide host matrix along with dopants were investigated for the prepared *** the upconversion luminescence,erbium-doped samples exhibit a predominance of red emission while holmium-doped samples display a prevalence of green *** rare-earth Er/ho doped kYbF4shows strong red emission compared to other ***_(4):Yb,Er/ho exhibits relatively significant green upconve rsion emissions,while Yb,Er-doped kGdF_(4)host displays a 10-fold increase in green/red emission ratio with an increase in the input power of 20-780 *** photoluminescence studies and decay curve analysis were carried out using UV light excitation for the developed phosphors.A higher lifetime of 2.2 ms was measured for the downshifting red emission in the ho doped kYbF_(4)*** study suggests a potential for colour tunability in the upconversion and downshifting emissions through host modifications to the fluoride phosphor.
